Love this thing! Affordable (in terms of mirror less, high-quality cams), compact, and easy to use. The app is decent but I personally don’t use it all that much. I see where it could be useful though. My favorite thing is the preset settings it has. Want a warmer, cooler, lower contrast, etc? It has a preset. If that doesn’t suit your needs, the settings are super easy to run through and adjust. The touch-screen is fantastic, it may be a little harder to use if you have larger hands (I would use a stylus if that’s the case) for me it’s great. Very responsive and good image. I mainly use it for streaming on twitch. This is where there’s a small but understandable downside. Which is the USB function caps out at 720p30fps. If you use a hdmi cable with a capture card though, the quality improvement is insane! (Tip: Elgato is overpriced imo, I suggest looking at Mirabox. Has done me well the last few months and has really nice build quality.) Don’t want to read all that? Well here’s the conclusion: Get it. It’s great if a quality budget camera is what you’re looking for.

I’ve been using the Sony ZV-1F for a while now, and I’m honestly impressed by how much this tiny camera has improved my content. As someone who likes filming on the go but doesn’t want to carry bulky equipment everywhere, this camera strikes a perfect balance between portability, quality, and ease of use. First, the image quality is fantastic for a camera this size. The 20mm fixed wide-angle lens is one of my favorite features—it's perfect for vlogging because it captures not just my face, but also the background and environment without needing to stretch my arm out. Even indoors or in low-light situations, the footage looks clean, natural, and way more professional than anything I’ve ever gotten from my phone. Sony really designed this camera with creators in mind. The Product Showcase mode is such a game changer for anyone who does unboxings or reviews. It instantly shifts focus from your face to whatever you hold up, smoothly and quickly, without that awkward hunting or delay. The background defocus button is another simple but powerful tool—one tap and you get that cinematic blurred background look that really elevates videos. One of the biggest advantages for me is how user-friendly it is. I didn’t need any complicated setup; the menu is straightforward, the touchscreen makes navigation easy, and the camera does a lot of the heavy lifting automatically. Even complete beginners can pick this up and start recording great-looking videos in minutes. Sound quality is an area where compact cameras often fall short, but the ZV-1F’s directional 3-capsule microphone picks up my voice cleanly even when I’m outdoors. The included windscreen makes a noticeable difference, especially when I’m filming outside on breezy days. Between the stabilization, the clear mic, and the image quality, my footage has been consistently smooth and professional-looking. I also love how seamlessly it works with my phone. The USB-C connection and simple transfer options make it easy to send clips straight to my editing apps without a hassle. this is my dream camera! i have been eyeing it for quite some time and was pleased to see it here! it’s perfect size, camera quality is incredible and perfect for filming. it’s great for pictures too but do keep in mind that there isn’t a flash, so you’d just need good lighting but i just use it to film youtube videos so i’m chilling. the audio is amazing, too. crystal clear! also, the battery does tend to get low quickly so i recommend buying extra batteries just in case but otherwise this camera is all that i wanted!i inserted some photos i took with the camera!

Great camera, really good for live streaming and recordi g YouTube videos. For a digital camera you can't beat the price,especially for a sony. The microphone and windscreen are a little quiet and picks up on th wind even with it on. Otbing a shotfun mic and windscreen wont fix. Can also fix it when editing, it's 21 or 22 megapixels can't remember, but it blows the videoqaulity of galaxy S23 out of the water also photos as well. Love the amount of customization and the awb, which comes in handy if shooting something bright. Has auto exposure correction too, but I prefer to fiddle with that myself because it sometimes adjust too slow crushing out balcks or making the photos/videos washed out. Overall for the price thos one is a steal forsure. You can also find some cheaper lense to screw on to this of you want to get a better zoomed in photo. The max might be 52mm, not sure but thats what mine is. The only downside to that is a 52mm lense with at least 25x zoom is going to be a little cosltly. Overall I am very satisfied, if you use it to record gaming content on YouTube, Get a capture card and the right micro hdmi, you can stream in 720p which is the norm especially on platforms like twitch YouTube can stream up to 1080p at a higher bitrate the usbc wont go any higher than that, so if ypu wanna squeeze 1080p out of a stream you need hdmi and a capture card. Overall fantastic camera and would reccomend it to anyone not trying to drop 800 to 1500 on a Nikon.

Only concerns are battery life, difficulty with connecting the WiFi to my phone (I live in the country LOL), & no flash! Otherwise - it’s everything you’d want! I previously purchased the canon Mark III for a trip, and this one is much better at auto-focus in the video! If you’re in between the two, in my opinion, the Canon is better for photos (due to flash & connection to phone speed) while the Sony is better for videos with the object following, etc. Sony is definitely more user/beginner friendly. Overall, I do love this camera! I uploaded a pic I took of my mom and dog with the Sony (day version) & myself (night version) with the Canon below!

Great camera for traveling! its lightweight and takes amazing pictures and Videos. you can change settings with ease and it records great audio. I used this for recent travel and the quality is amazing.the swivel screen helps be in focus and know what you are filming all the time. overall a great compact camera with great quality.

bought open box and it looked new!!! came with everything and the quality is amazing very crisp a great vlogging camera and super portable. the battery life honestly isn’t that bad one full charge got me through a whole day and a half of vlogging in new work and what camera doesn’t need a extra battery

Now… i want to become a content creator and this is my second camera but my first camera i invested money into. I loveee this camera especially as a beginner with just starting up. The camera quality and the mic is 100% clear it’s not to heavy & i didn’t even change the settings or anything. The settings are easy to use no difficulties at all. I recommend this camera 100% not even just for starting/upcoming content creators.

Not only is this camera a great picture taker or vlogging camera. It is also a fantastic webcam. All you do is plug it in to your computer and choose webcam on the cameras screen… that’s it! Super easy an reliable

I been looking for a compact camera for vlogs and concert videos, and honestly this camera is it! I use it for pictures and i still have to play around with sound when it comes to concerts, but if you want HD videos, starting your vlogging era or just want the high quality pictures, then this is the camera for you! The only con i would say is that this doesn’t have a built in flash, which wasn’t a problem for me, you could just buy a detachable flood light

This camera is great for vlogging and making videos that are up close. Very easy to use and download content to your computer for editing. This camera does not have a flash and cannot zoom very far. I am enjoying using this camera and my kids are having fun with it as well.

This camera is amazing!! A LITERAL must have! I’ve now used it for vlogging purposes, family vacations & much more! As a blogger I’ve tested out multiple cameras. So far, the quality on this one AND the upload process is SEAMLESS. You don’t want a camera that has bad quality once you upload, this camera keeps amazing quality even after transferring onto multiple devices! The upload process is also the easiest thing ever! There’s an app to use on your mobile device to upload straight from the camera or a handy little transfer cord that you can use. The cord will connect to almost any device, a phone, a laptop etc. This camera has a front facing screen that makes it easy to see EXACTLY what you are vlogging and it assures that you stay in the frame. Overall, 10/10 on quality, transfer/upload process and durability! I absolutely love this camera and will be suggesting it to all my content creator friends and friends that have families! This camera is a MUST buy.

The Sony ZV1F is an overall great camera! You get a big bang for your buck and the top features that the Sony ZV one offers. And did I mention that it is out of the box ready! This camera is so easy to use and to navigate through, its so beginner friendly. The only downfall is that when comparing the two, the ZV1F’s stability is not spot on as it does not have the auto focus instability features that are tied to the internal stability like the ZV one does. At some points of recording with the stability feature on, I was able to see a Jell-O, like a fact on the outside of my video so that turned me a little off, but other than that the quality for that camera is spot on and great. It’s a great alternative for those who are on a money saving crunch and who needs something to go ahead and start doing YouTube or streaming with.  i’d definitely recommend this camera if you are not going to be actively walking around with it and if you want to use it more so for a stationary videos like sit down videos, then this is your go to cheap affordable option that does not lack quality and shoots in 4K! 

Most of the complaints about this camera are coming from people who are trying to use it for more than just vlogging/ filming videos strictly for posting on YouTube. This is Sony’s intro vlogging camera & it does the job that it is being marketed and made for. The camera itself is light and compact and you can pretty much use it straight out the box. Also, I haven’t had any trouble with the battery life like others have stated. I think as long as you charge it before going out and you’re not trying to use it to livestream outside, you should be fine. The only con I would have to point out would be its zoom or lack thereof.. but I guess it’s meant more for up close filming anyway. I purchased this ZV1-F for start Vlogging to help me control my Social Anxiety after reading over 2k reviews ( Literally) about the camera and the best place to purchase which I found both.I am so grateful for this camera and the young man who helped me in the Best Buy 22Nj. This whole process has been life changing. The camera really Stands on business.It takes beautiful, clear images and video. The instructions are simple enough ( as I have a disdain for Technology) sad yet true. However This Sony Camera has opened and changed my mind about so many things. This is my first EVER review and THEE BEST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE in my 40yrs of life. Thank you Sony and Thank you Mr.Perez at BestBuy for your help.
