A: The headphones come with 3 modes: Active Noise Cancelling (ANC), Pass-Through, and Normal (ANC Off). There is a button on the headphones to cycle through these modes. In the free Soundcore app, you can customize the "intensity" as you call it of the ANC mode. They also have an "Adaptive Noise Cancelling" feature that automatically adjusts the intensity of ANC based on ambient noise levels. Whatever you set the ANC mode to in the app saves to the headphones for all future uses.

Incredible bass, premium build, long battery
These things sound great, they wont disappoint in the bass department. They do a really good job at reproducing the mid and high range frequencies. The battery lasts very long and offers usb type c charging. Bluetooth range and quality seem to be a non issue as well. You can also connect via 3.5mm aux cable for hardwired listening. The left side ear cup houses a power button, type c port and noise control button which allows you to switch between noise cancellation and transparency modes, the right side house the volume control buttons as well as play/pause button and aux port. They also fold!

The Bang-for-Buck Wild Card
The appearance of these headphones was rather timely for me: on account of a motorcycle crash I suffered a few months back, I've been on the mend, and due to shuttling back-and-forth between hospital and rehab, the one thing I knew I'd want is a decent pair of over-ear NC headphones, and after some brief but concentrated research I chose the Soundcore 'phones. Rather than being a tough choice, in my case it was easy: between my two hi-fi systems at home, I *already* own two pair of terrific wired 'phones which I'd put up against the priciest Bluetooth 'phones in regard to sound quality, so all I was looking for in a BT 'phone was simply good sound quality, but *seriously* good noise-cancelling and solid battery life, and the Soundcores seriously kick butt here. In fact, as Bluetooth cans go, I don't think the Soundcores take a back-seat to anyone else atcthe moment, particularly if you take the time to tweak the frequency curve (the HearID control in the Soundcore app makes creating a custom curve easy) and activate LDAC for higher resolution- the very fact that you have these options at your disposal should be proof enough if what you're getting here. My take is that if these were going to be your Main Axe headphones for all your serious listening, then maybe (JUST maube) spending the extra bucks for something like Sony's XM4/5 or the like is the right choice; for me, I follow the philosophy of "the perfect is the enemy of the good", and made my choice appropriately. And I'm pretty darned happy. Highly recommended.

Incredible build quality, comfort, and SOUND
Do not be mistaken, these headphones are the most impressive in the lineup, behind the AirPods Max in my opinion. They are better than the Sony XM4! They have amazing sound, of course, but here's the thing, only the AirPods Max and Anker Q45 have brilliantly clear transparency modes, which matter a lot to me. But guess what.. here's a shocker... The Anker Q45s are more comfortable than the AirPods Max! My only issue with them are the fact that they do not turn off the videos or music you are listening to when you remove the headphones, but it's not that big of a deal. They also seamlessly switch between devices when audio starts playing on different ones they are paired with, which is another huge win for these. As for me, I bought a set of AirPods Max for the transparancy mode as they are slightly better, but I am surprised at how much I like the Anker Q45. For $99.99, I find them worth keeping around as a second pair. Keep in mind, the AirPods are 5.5x more expensive. If you want the best headphones for a fraction of the cost of the AirPods, it's no contest, this is it. Forgot to mention, I also bought the Sony XM4s on sale but I am returning those. Final note, the travel case these come in are okay, but not better than Sony one.
