I had the Google Nest outdoor cameras, and they always had problems dropping off and not recording for huge blocks of time (which doesn't help when it's a SECURITY camera!). I would constantly have to reconnect them to my router, turn them off and on to try to get them reconnect, and despite having 2 Nest signal boosters, I was finally fed-up and replaced all 4 of my outside cameras with the Ring system. The Ring cameras have so far been flawless. I've had them several months now, and they have never dropped off my router or not recorded every second of every day. The night vision goes at least twice as far out as the Nest (a long, long way) and the range of video capture from side-to-side is much greater, allowing me to have no blind spots with the same 4 cameras. I purchased the wired version with a plug, and each camera has a battery for backup should the power go out (we have a whole house backup generator anyway, so they would only be without power for 30 seconds before the generator restored power). The LED light is very bright and even penetrates well into our heavily wooded yard. It's great that the sirens can be linked to my new Ring security system (that arrives today) so that all my outdoor cameras as well as the indoor siren will go off if our house is broken into. The motion detection is amazing--the front camera picks up cars passing down our street that is over 200 feet away and is mostly blocked by trees and brush--I couldn't believe that it could detect that motion--and that's with the motion sensitivity set to only 75% out of 100%. So far, this has been a far superior to the Nest, which is all I can compare it to. I install my Ring security system today, so I'll submit a review of it as soon as I've had it a couple of months at least. My final comment is get Ring for all your camera and security needs, don't ever purchase a Google Nest product. Once Nest sold-out to Google, they stopped updating it, and now their products can't compete with Ring. Trust me, I've had a lot of Nest products, and they're terrible.

I bought two of these cameras with built in lights for my super dark backyard. They work perfectly and only notify me when a person is back there; no false notifications due to wind, dogs. They are seamless with my indoor Ring cameras. Best decision ever to add them! I feel safer.

I use this product all over my house I have every single camera they offer and it is hands down the best product on the market. I can set so animals don’t set motion off set only packages, cars , people amazing products.

Has nice clear picture. Lights don’t come on if the porch light is on, would save some battery charges. I have mine hooked to a solar panel. Had to build a mounting base sit to solar plug location and rave configuration. Looks good and is secure.

This Ring camera performs flawlessly, just as expected. I have several Ring cameras around my property, and I installed this one at the end of our driveway to notify us whenever someone drives up. We added the solar panel for hassle-free battery charging, which is a great convenience. The built-in light is a fantastic bonus, especially on evenings when our lamp post isn’t lit. Overall, I highly recommend this Ring camera for its reliability and added features.

Very good home security camera product. Was a replacement from an original Ring installation 11 year ago (which was also great and a workhorse that just wore out), this new camera was a cinch to install and is very high tech and a great bang for you buck due to the amount of options available. They make it easy. Highly recommend!

Installed the camera about a month ago. Easy to set up with WIFI and simple installation on the exterior basement wall. One issue that I am not so pleased with is the external lighting illumination on the camera. Not very bright as advertised. Really good picture quality.

This product has a clear picture and is easy to setup and install. Recommend getting the solar panels for recharging vs changing them out every few weeks.

A little pricey but the quality upgrade compared to the older gen spotlight cameras from ring is amazing. definitely highly recommend and can definitely highly recommend ring as a whole. Great security company.

Easy install for equipment and app. Ever since I installed the cameras I have had no activity on my property or theft.

This is a real upgrade from my earlier spotlight camera better resolution and lots of other features. Ring has also improved the installation process.

I had the other rings the original generation ones. This one is so much better like the picture quality ring has done it again.
