The installing agent mounted and located our Starlink dish and router in the location we wanted. Installed was fast and setup went well. All our devices connected and new Roku connected to TV2

terrible service. My dish is sitting on the ground weeks after it was supposedly installed. Support won't refund me since they say the installation is marked as completed by the tech.

Was happy this was offered by BB as we have a high second story roofline. Purchased through a phone rep and an install date was confirmed. Then spent the next three weeks having to call and sit on hold as the system kept “unconfirming” my scheduled dates. I spoke with nice reps and managers, but nobody was able to fix the issue. Finally had a manager from our local store call me directly. He explained the Starlink installations were handled by a third party company and he believed their scheduling system was the issue. He was able to call them directly and had them force the installation into their system, which only cost us about a month of lost install dates and many hours on the phone. Once the installer arrived he assessed the dish placement and was done in about an hour. Very nice and professional guy. Had this not been the scheduling nightmare that it was, I would have rated this 5 stars. I was going to give it three but the store manager’s efforts and the installer’s job brought it up.

The service person was friendly and capable. They deserve 5 stars. However, YOU AS THE CONSUMER MUST PLAN WHERE THE ATTENNA WILL BE MOUNTED AND HOW THE ATTENTA WILL BE MOUNTED AND YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE ALL BRACKETS AND POLLS. Expecting that this might be the case, I was prepared. Also, the service person has few tools. We needed to use my drill bits to drill holes in my outside and side walls. It was clearly a team effort. Best Buy does provide a “check off” list to prepare for the installation. However, I don’t recall explicit instructions about providing all of the materials that would be needed for the installation.

Install was scheduled 3 times. 1st Best Buy only sold me the dish and didn’t tell me to purchase the mount or extended cable. The first install attempt was aborted for this reason. Some installers can provide these materials, but the one scheduled doesn’t. 2nd attempt was stopped because the installer didn’t have a long ladder. 3rd attempt got me on StarLink with a nice install job.

The "subcontracted" agents installed my Starlink the day after the scheduled date. Best Buy does not give them adequate information on their installs thus more work typically needs to be done than is reflected on the work order which causes them to not be able to accomplish everything in the allotted time. They were able to come the next morning though and install it.

Do not recommend! I have been an avid Best Buy customer up until now and never had any issues with previous installations. This department/ product and their third party installation company specifically is what I do not recommend. Save your money and go through Starlink directly or hire someone you know. First they sent an installer who did not seem experienced at all. Kind and professional yes, but experienced with this type of installation No. Realized after he had already started, that he was not following the step by step instructions included in the kit. He skipped steps. Installed without checking obstructions so had to remove and drill a second time further drilling unnecessarily and more holes to patch. I could go on and on. Botched is an understatement. His knowledge of the product was also very limited, I can’t imagine he was a licensed Starlink installer. I started my calling as soon as he left to report it all and get a resolution. Was rescheduled with supposedly a different company and more experienced installer “as soon as possible” and put on the schedule for 3 days later. Day of, heard nothing waited. Called and was told they could not come. No notice no explanation or call to address it. In 1 more day it will be exactly 2 weeks of me calling Best Buy geek squad installation department to speak with a manager , as well as the third party installation company they use. I have called Best Buy a total of 13 times so far and the specific company CRST/Installs Inc. 4x. Been told it has been escalated, a manager will contact me within 48 hours multiple times and not a single manager has contacted me from either Best Buy or this Installs Inc CRST to resolve this. Will be posting this on BBB and hope to not only get the damage fixed but a refund as well. Very unfortunate given this is such a highly rated product and Starlink themselves is great.

Internet service where I live in rural area is almost non exsistent and the few companies that do offer service get such bad reviews. I had made an appointment with one company and they never showed up. Just by chance I found on google that Best Buy installs Starlink. I bought the Starlink satellite dish, called Bestbuy & scheduled an installation. GEEK squad Installer came out promptly & was very experienced with installing Starlink. I couldn't be happier with the installation service. This guy was great. Best buy should advertise more that they install Starlink especially to rural customers. Internet works great.

I couldn’t be happier with the installation service I received from Best Buy for my Starlink dish. The technician was reliable, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. He single-handedly mounted the dish on the roof of my two-story home, even bringing a ladder to get the job done safely and securely. I was so impressed with his skill, attention to detail, and dedication to making sure everything was set up perfectly. Truly outstanding service—I highly recommend Best Buy’s installation team!

I ordered installation of my Starlink through Best Buy, because the company that Starlink tried to set me up with canceled and didn’t have anyone to come to my area for month. I thought it was going to be geek squad but it was third party set up, he did a great job and had previous experience with Starlink installs and helped me make sure it worked properly. No complaints.

The installers called the day before with the arrival time for the install. They called the day of the install to let me know they were on the way. When they arrived, they answered all of my questions and quickly completed the job. They very accurately aligned the Starlink dish, ran the cable where it is mostly hidden and through an exterior wall to the location of the router. The system has been running even better than I expected. Thank you Geek Squad!

I ordered an installation, but the installer was unable to assist me because of the trees. However, he was very helpful in identifying a location and a possible solution. We ended up needing a roofer to install it, but I was able to tell him the exact location and direction for the dish. Saving time and money.

We purchased our Starlink system through our RV dealer, but they had no idea how to activate it. Enter Geek Squad to the rescue! After the dealer’s techs tried unsuccessfully to get it working, a Geek Squad technician had it up and running in just 30 minutes. During our month-long RV trip, it worked flawlessly the entire time. If you are thinking about transitioning to Starlink, let Geek Squad handle the project

I had issues finding the proper position for satellite signal but after it was found i love it !! Best advice is if you dont currently have internet have it professionally installed by Geek Sqaud or rely on your smart ohone to find the proper placement where there is no blockage loke trees or buildings

I am beyond frustrated. I am giving this one star because the install has still not been done yet but with the ordeal that this has been, I would give this 0 stars if I could. I am trying to get starlink installed at our new house since we moved in at the beginning of May but unfortunately, the first availible appointment was not until May 24. I work from home so this was not good for me as I had no Internet so I bought a hotspot to try to use until the install. I was told by multiple best buy associates in multiple chat sessions that all I needed was the starlink kit and the installers had everything else to get it installed. Well I get to the day before the install and the install calls me and asks me if I had ordered the mount and stated that I needed to order that before they could do anything. Due to this I had to push out the appointment again to May 31st ( which was an ordeal in of itself as the system kept cancelling my appointment despite reaching to best buy multiple times) while I got the mount ordered. Fast forward to today's appointment that I was suppose to have, I got a call today last minute from the installer around the time they were suppose to be here staying that the technician that was suppose to do the install was having vehicle trouble and they told me that they did not have any other available technicians to come out and do the install today so they are rescheduling for Monday June 3rd. According to the weather forecast I am not even sure if that will happen as it is suppose to storm here. I am just beyond frustrated as it has been a full month now and I have sunk a bunch of money into all the starlink gear as well as the install service and I am still having to use an awful hotspot for work that is about out of data. At this point in time I would not recommend going through this process to anyone especially if you work from home like I do. This has been a total nightmare

The antenna was install in the correct spot and works well... until wind picks up. Wind will move the antenna off alignment because the arm was not tightened. I don't own a ladder tall enough to do this (this is why I had to purchase this service). Instead I had to but a telescopic pole that allows me to realign the antenna after every wind event. I expect Best Buy to do the right thing and have someone get up there and tighten the antenna.

The two guys that installed my starlink in my house were very nice, respectful and professional. They went above and beyond to make sure i understood how the install and system will work along with how to maintain my router and use the starlink app. Thanks guys!
