I had bought a refurbished Herman Miller Aeron chair and returned it due to a broken part. I decided to look for an alternative before I shelled out money for a new Aeron. I found this chair rated above the Aeron. Glad I bought it. It is heavier than the Aeron, and isn't quite as stylish but I prefer it for comfort. The headrest is adjustable and I bought the chair with "carpet rollers" it actually rolls well on the carpet! There is an option for hard floor rollers...I love this chair.

Shipped well, arrived on time and compeltely assembled. Sturdy chair and feels high quality and moves really smooth on the floor. I use it for gaming so I’m able to adjust the headrest, armrests, and backrest just how I like for sitting hours at a time. Its not great for watching movies; it doesnt lay very far down so its not the best for just lounging comfortably but great for work and gaming. Also… this chair is really expensive so I’ll feel good about the purchase as long as it stays sturdy for the next 10 years or so which it seems it has a high chance of doing.

I work from home and can be in my chair anywhere from 6 hours to 20 hours a day. First, I'll note, I LOVED my HM Embody. It was a very comfortable chair and was great for days I had to be in my chair for 6-12 hours. But I've had days where I had to pull all-nighters or days recovering from the all-nighters that I REALLY wished I had a head rest. I tried building one and retro fitting it to the embody, but it just wasn't great. I finally decided it was time and went with this chair. I do like this chair. Most of this review is comparing it to my embody chair. Pros: • Headrest is great. I'm 5' 7" and it adjusts to my good posture days and does just fine when I'm catching a nap in my chair. • Arm rest is night and day better than the embody. At first the embody arm rest is cool because it does a good job at letting you adjust it without having do buttons and all that. But honestly, it's not very comfortable and the range of adjustments for the embody arm rests was really limited. This chairs arm rests are awesome. They're super sturdy but still comfortable. And while I need to use a button to raise/lower, it swings out so nicely and conveniently. This surprised me on how much I love the arm reset. • Back adjustment - I loved the theory behind my embody chair for 'automatically' adjusting to your posture, but the reality is, it just didn't work as advertised. It was ok, but it wasn't great. This chair however does a really good job on giving back support when/where you want it and lets you adjust as desired for your situation. • Durability - It feels much more durable than my embody. I'm hoping 6 years from now I can still say that. • Silence - One thing I didn't realize how bad it was until I switched to another chair was that my embody chair was somewhat loud. I think it was all the plastic support pieces that makes it have its form. Every time I shifted in my seat though it would make a sound. It was irritating especially since my mic would pick the sound up on my zoom calls. This chair is absolutely silent (after my wheel swap). Cons: • Seat Material - my chair was the onyx flavor of the chairs. I bet compared to most other chairs the material is probably as good or even better. Compared to my embody however, it's still far behind in terms of breathability. In my embody chair and even sitting 6 hours straight, my rear and back would never get uncomfortably warm. I may try someday to have the fabric replaced on it with something closer to the embody. I suspect the fabric is far more durable than my embody but like I said, it's lasted over 6 years and while it definitely doesn't look shiny new, the fabric was holding up for the most part AND was breathable. This chair fabric was disappointing for me. • Seat Cushion - again compared to my embody, this thing feels like I am sitting on concrete. The seat cushion is really firm. Perhaps this will help with the longevity, I'm not sure. It has however been a good reminder for me to stand (I have a standing desk too) more often and out of necessity, it has helped me get up more often. I did purchase a purple seat cushion (the medium one) and honestly, it is perfect for this chair. If I ever do replace the fabric, I'll probably see if they can permanently put that purple seat cushion on the seat. My Experience so far: For the first 30 days I was really on the fence to return it but in the end decided to keep it. In the end - I'm still glad I got it and kept it. The headrest and adjustability has been great. The seat cushion has helped with the firmness and my rear getting warm as well as the side effect of making me stand up more often which I should be doing every hour anyways. I ended up taking the wheels from my embody and swapping them with this chair since I'm on hardwood and the herman miller wheels were completely silent where the standard wheels were almost silent. All in all - I like this chair and would recommend it. I love having a head rest and hate that herman miller decided to force their viewpoint that head rests are evil and not let me choose if I want one or not. (Talk to a herman miller sales rep and tell them you really want a head rest - they get real worked up about how terrible they are). It's not a cheap chair but I think it'll last me for many years. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. Hope my experience helped - especially since I'm rambling after doing another all-nighter. :)

[Employee of bestbuy] Pros: Was very easy to build, just 3 parts. Very good amount of flexibility for getting the chair setup exactly for you. Warranty Cons: Price, Seat cushioning I ultimately returned this chair due to not feeling like it was worth the price i paid for it. I couldn't sit in it for more than a few hours before i noticed my butt getting kinda soar, but i have terrible posture so that might not have helped since i couldn't stop myself for sitting in weird angles.

This is the fourth time writing this because I am on my phone and everytime it disconnects from WiFi amd switches to cell signal it refrwshes and deletes everything I wrote. So instead of wastong another 15-20 minutes of my time here it is. It is highly adjustable. Chances are if you aren't super comfortable you haven't adjusted it properly. I had devestating backpain from the cheap office chair I had when work from home started. This solved it. If you need to sit at a desk for 6-8+ hours and you can afford the price, this will return your investment 100 fold. Look up how to adjust seat height/depth, lumbar support and arm height and you will be grateful for the quality of life for years to come. This is not a direct finacial benefit, it is being able to wake up without pain and not dread having to sit through the day at your desk as your back hurts more and more.

I was skeptical about the comfort and value of this chair. Its expensive however, I am pleasantly surprised by the comfort and support provided by this chair. I use it in my home office, for more than 8hrs everyday. Though not as foamy / cushioned as one would like, it is surprisingly comfortable. The back rest is adjustable and works well - online reviews state that the back rest isnt adjustable and can be inconvenient. It is not.

The chair is built very well, and feels sturdy. It moves over my carpet with little resistance, and doesn't roll away easily either. My only problem is more personal, because i bought this chair to help with my back during 12hr shifts sitting at my computer, and it hasn't helped as much as I thought it would. I think it is due to the seat portion not tilting with the back when i lean back, or try to get settled into the chair. This makes it so that my lower back never feels supported, and as such, doesn't help my back pain at all really..

I would rate this chair a solid 10 if the rating went that high. It was a splurge for my home office but worth every penny! I am seeing an improvement in my work posture and energy level post long hour days! Wish I hadn’t waited so long to make the purchase!

Love this chair. Gone are the aches and pains of sitting on my chair after a couple of hours of using my old flat back gaming chair. Looks sturdy and well built so far and Best Buy is an authorized Steelcase retailer so the 12 yr warranty is honored. It did take a day or so to get used to the chair but im thinking it had to correct years of using my old racing style gaming chair.

The chair is extremely solid, im a 250lb guy and after 2 months there is no creaking or sqeaking from the chair. Definitely promotes a good, upright sitting posture. The reclining features are great and you can set the tension for how much resistance the recline has. The arm rests are as advertised. Great chair overall. Could be slightly more comfortable/plushy but I have no problems.

This is a great chair. Highly customizable and ergonomic. I sit on it 10 hours a day and at the end of the day it doesn’t feel like I’ve been sitting this long. I love that I can sit cross legged on this unlike some other high end chairs. Would definitely recommend it.

[Employee of bestbuy] This chair is amazing for me but I think the point a lot of reviews miss is the point of the chair, it wont be your leather recliner of comfort, but it will provide amazing ergonomics. Really the confort can be up to you if you adjust it to fit your needs the chair will be perfect. My summary, dont buy this if you need a ultra plush lounge chair you will comfortably sink into and fall asleep in, but I highly recommend it if you need a chair you wilk spend hours a day in at a computer and woukd like to save your back for the future.

I liked the chair for the first two hours, but the padding of the chair where I was sitting began to feel as if it was disappearing and I started to hurt enough that I stood up. I read review after review online that this chair suported up to 400 lbs and that it was a 'sit all day kind of chair.' Being 240lbs I wasnt worried, but I will be returning it because of this. I have the same issue with very cheap office chairs already. It did arrive with no damage though and it is easy to adjust without moving too much.
