The follow up to the excellent Silver Streak - Stir Crazy is excellent and features Pryor in a much more prominent role. For those in the know Pryor was actually supposed to co-star in Blazing Saddles with Wilder but that didn't work out for whatever reason. They followed this up with See no Evil Hear No Evil which was also excellent. I aven't seen it in years but the last WIlder/Pryorfilm was a disapointment if I remember correctly.... interestingly enough it was the last starring film role for both stars

Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor pair up again for another classic crazy adventure. This farce finds the duo in jail for a robbery they didn't commit. The plot entails the antics they have to go through to outwit the warden, guards and fellow prisoners, even as far as winding up in a prison rodeo. This is over the top comic fun from start to finish.

One of the classic high-concept comedies of the 1980s. It was always a a blast to watch Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor together at play. This movie is just as funny now as it was when I first saw it during Christmas vacation from school in 1980. A classic that more than holds up!

This is one of the best picture that both actors made together. I saw it a long time ago and had to get when it was especially on sale. It will be part of my Library collection. They were soooooo funny together.

Definitely a classic movie from the 80's. For a movie about 2 guys trying to escape from prison for crimes they did not commit, it feels original and unique for a premise that has otherwise been done before.

Stir Crazy is the best of the four comedies Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor have made. It's a prison comedy, an anti- authority comedy and a buddy picture. It begins to take its plot a little too seriously toward the end but the laughs are there most of the way

Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder at their best. My favorite of those 2 together along with characters like Grossburger and the guy who can get you a cheeseburger. I'd pass on the burger but not on the movie!

Stir Crazy was the follow-up pairing of Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder to their smash first pairing, Silver Streak. This movie is a must-have for fans of classic comedy, with a classic comedic duo!

I did see this movie when it was released to theaters in the 70's and I had to have it in my blu ray collection of favorites. I bought it at Best Buy for just around $5.00. Good deal.

An old school romp, seen for the first time, can excite and elate the senses. The comedic genius of Gene Wilder, and Richard Pryor brings nothing but laugh after side splitting laugh.

A lot of humor sure to leave one in high spirits. A great scene is the "Down in the Valley/Birmingham Jail". The singer was trained in opera. Who knew?

Set up and wrongfully accused, two best friends will be sent to prison for a crime they didn't commit, however, no prison cell can keep them locked in.

An oldie, but a goodie. I hadn't seen this movie in many years, but my wife and I enjoyed it very much. The scene in the cell with Pryor, Wilder and the "mass murderer" brought tears to our eyes.

A good Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor buddy movie. The jokes and their chemistry still work despite the many years after it's release. A good testimony to their movies together, after their passing.

With the recent passing of Gene Wilder, I saw the movie and decided to buy it for my collection. He and Pryor are very funny and entertaining.

This is a classic comedy, and if you know how to use "Disc to Digital" for CinemaNow and VUDU you can add this to your Digital Movie Library.
