STORMCRAFT - Gaming PC PHANTOM AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D NVIDIA Geforce RTX 5080 32GB DDR5 6000Mhz RGB 2TB SSD 360mm AIO - Win 11 Home

Incredibly happy with my STORMCRAFT Phantom. STORMCRAFT is a small company with very little information online, and that made me nervous before I ordered. After a couple of weeks with it, I would buy from them again without hesitating. ORDERING AND SHIPPING I ordered on 9/26 and it arrived about 9 days later by FedEx Home Delivery. A direct signature was required, so someone had to be home. It came in STORMCRAFT's own box with the build specs printed on the outside, was packed very well, and arrived with no damage. Inside was a checklist verifying the build and stability testing, plus a quick-start card that walks you through setup. WHAT IS IN MY UNIT (parts can vary from build to build, so yours may differ) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D GPU: ZOTAC GeForce RTX 5080 16GB Motherboard: MSI PRO B850-P WIFI (full ATX, 3 M.2 slots, 4 SATA ports) RAM: V-Color Manta DDR5-6000 CL30, 2x16GB (32GB) Storage: Crucial E100 2TB NVMe SSD Cooling: 360mm AIO liquid cooler with three bottom intake fans Power supply: Gamdias Helios P2-850G, 850W 80+ Gold Case: STORMCRAFT Phantom with panoramic glass OS: Windows 11 Home PERFORMANCE I upgraded from a Lenovo Legion 9i gaming laptop with an RTX 4090 mobile GPU and 64GB of RAM. I play on a 65 inch 120Hz OLED TV. In Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K with path tracing (the heaviest setting) and DLSS Quality, I get about 40 fps natively. With frame generation turned on it runs 90 to 100 fps. One tip: I had to restart the PC before the frame generation option took effect. The picture is noticeably sharper than on my laptop, which needed DLSS Performance to reach similar frame rates. It tears through everything I have thrown at it. TEMPERATURES AND NOISE After 30 to 40 minutes of path-traced Cyberpunk, the GPU sits around 64C at about 98 percent usage and the CPU around 68C. That is with NVIDIA's Automatic Tuning turned on. The cooling is excellent, and the PC is incredibly quiet even under full load. SUPPORT AND WARRANTY STORMCRAFT includes 3 years of labor, 2 years of parts, 1 year of shipping covered on approved repairs, and lifetime technical support. Registration took only a couple of minutes on their website. I emailed customer service and they replied within a day. ROOM TO GROW The board has three M.2 slots (one Gen5 and two Gen4) and four SATA ports, and two of the M.2 slots are still free, so adding storage is easy. WHAT COULD BE BETTER The bottom intake fans have no dust filters. I have pets, so I added my own mesh. The SSD and power supply are the budget parts in an otherwise excellent build, although the power supply has handled long sessions at full GPU load with no issues. STORMCRAFT is a small company, so there is not much information about them online. TIPS FOR NEW BUYERS Check Task Manager to confirm the RAM is running at 6000 MT/s, and enable EXPO in the BIOS if it is not. Install the latest NVIDIA driver right away. For 4K 120Hz on a TV, use an HDMI 2.1 cable and turn on your TV's full-bandwidth input setting. Keep the box. It is required for any warranty repair. Register the PC with STORMCRAFT after it arrives. VERDICT The parts that matter most for gaming are top tier, temperatures are low, it is quiet, and the warranty is strong. I love this PC and highly recommend it.
