Sunnydaze - Glass Fly-Through Hanging Bird Feeder - Lavender Mosaic
About this product
The Sunydaze Glass Mosaic Birdfeeder for outside hanging was made to bring colorful stained-glass-inspired beauty to the garden while attracting small songbirds. The small hanging bird feeder measures 6.5 inches wide and 6.25 inches high, with a 2.75-inch fly-through opening that welcomes smaller birds such as finches, chickadees, wrens, and sparrows. Larger birds, including cardinals and jays, may be too large for the opening. The deck bird feeder for hanging holds approximately 1 cup of small birdseed blend, although actual capacity varies depending on the type of seed used. Seed is added through the side openings. Tilting the feeder horizontally and using a small cup, funnel, paper cone, or narrow spoon helps guide seed into the bottom of the globe for easier, more controlled filling. A small, mesh-covered hole in the bottom of the birdfeeder for outdoors allows rainwater to drain away, helping keep seed drier. If preferred, place a piece of cheesecloth over the hole to help keep smaller seeds contained while still allowing water to escape. The mosaic glass is delicate and should be handled with care. Hang the feeder in a sheltered location away from strong winds, heavy contact, and potential impacts. Position the wire carefully where it meets the glass to help prevent wear, and bring the finch bird feeder indoors during severe weather. Gently hand wash as needed to help preserve its colorful appearance. The included 12-inch hanging wire makes setup simple. Loop the wire over a sturdy branch, shepherd's hook, or other suitable support. Positioning the finch feeder for outside near natural cover can give visiting birds a nearby place to perch and feel secure. With its colorful iridescent mosaic design, this porch bird feeder doubles as decorative garden art even when birds are not visiting. Available in a variety of mosaic colors, it makes a thoughtful gardener and bird lover gift and arrives ready to hang for easy setup.
