Brought childhood memories back when I used to play it on the WII. Is a very basic game, it has a few mini games that can be played with other 4 players.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz for the Nintendo Switch may be a remake, but it has held up well. The graphic improvement is noticeable and everything looks great. The controls are responsive, although sometimes can be a challenge on the harder paths to follow. They took away the motion controls that were used in the Wii version, but I don't really think they are necessary to have fun. Oh and this game is fun and appropriate for all ages. Overall it's worth getting if you're a fan of the series.

but there's only 10 mini games, down from 50. they completely took out the motion controls, which i get most people dont care or are happy about, but the technology is better than ever now and i was excited to play it that way. at least give an option to play either way. and they ditched the original theme song that has been stuck in my head for 12 years.... not sure if that a good or bad move.

The monkey ball games are a nostalgic piece of gaming history. A tried and true formula that anyone can play. The genre is that of a marble game. You roll around the track as an adorable character in a ball (marble) while collecting bananas. This game however is a remake of an older title originally released for the Wii. The developers barely changed anything for this port and as a result the controls are not suited to the switch. They even took out content in the form of mini games. Originally there were 50 now there's only 10. This game is still a lot of fun, but I would say pick this game up only if you can find it at a discount. It's not worth full price.

Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 on the GameCube are great classics with tight controls. Banana Blitz on the Wii was kind of a mess due to the early motion controls. This port of Banana Blitz removes the motion controls but still handles very awkwardly. In an odd move this HD remake only has 10 of the original 50 mini-games. Might be worth buying on sale, but not full price. Hold out for Monkey Ball 1+2 HD that everyone actually wants.

This game is fun, exciting, and sometimes challenging. The levels are good, not as good as the originals (Super Monkey Ball 1&2) because there can sometimes be a change of pace such as the boss fights and the conveyor belt levels... In a game where you’re supposed to be fast (I guess Sega has level pacing problem I.E Newer Sonic Games) The mini games are ok, if you’re looking for a party game this definitely not as good as something like Super Mario Party (Which is also on the Nintendo Switch) But, overall it’s been one of the best Super Monkey Ball titles in a while, especially without the motion controls from the original game from the Wii.

While this isn't my favorite Monkey Ball game to date, it is a good one. The mini-games are fun to play with up to four players. The campaign is fun and challenging, but even more so on the boss fights. The boss fights to me seem a little out of place and at times can be very challenging to the point of almost being not fun, where you finally win after dozens and dozens of times on luck though. I really enjoy the main levels and have gone back to replay many of them after getting stuck on some of the later bosses. After beating the world 8 boss you'll unlock a special character which is a nice addition. Fun game.

I was hoping this would have the same features and game play as the original on the gamecube. Unfortunately it doesn’t. None the less it is still a lot of fun and well worth the price! Nintendo if your listening, please bring back the original GC version of Monkey Ball!

last time i played super monkey ball was on the GameCube and the redesign of characters was a great move. campaign levels are super fun. but this game lacks in the party games. very confusing mini games and they get boring fast compared to the old games.

The game is relatively medium length and pretty fun especially passing the controller each level between friends (main campaign). Only bad thing is the multiplayer mini games are too short and can feel kinda lame at times like they are way too hard or way too boring. Hopefully they remaster the older games or they make a new game with better mini games and a longer campaign.

This is similar to the original Gamecube game only difference is my equilibrium isn't the same as almost 20yrs ago my 7yr old can play no problem after awhile of watching or playing myself I have to take a break. Good puzzles though and my daughter loves it since the monkeys are cute.

While there are better Monkey Ball games out there that arguably more deserved a remaster, this is still a great addition to my Switch library and tons of fun! Boss battles are easily the most regrettable portion of the game, they tend to drag down gameplay. However, if you're a fan of the series or looking for an entry point, it's a pretty strong game on its own. I'd especially recommend it for those looking for an easier version of Monkey Ball, as this one definitely tones down the difficulty from the originals. All in all, a decent game!
