I'm using these speakers in a condo with a room which is medium sized and not the ideal configuration. I have a 5.2.4 setup with all SVS speakers. As recommended, I have the speakers about 1 foot from the back wall. After running the room correction, I tested in the 2 channel mode streaming Tidal service. I notice more detail (two mid drivers) and more presentation in the music. Treble is definitely enhanced with the SVS tweeters. I'm comparing to these my Quad 22L2 fronts (3 way) compared to SVS with seven drivers. After about 2 weeks of listening, my ears have adjusted somewhat to the more upfront sound stage. With that said, I think these speakers need room with the seven drivers including the two rear woofers. My preference is possible going back to my Quad speakers which are more relaxed and laid back. Now for the home theater configuration, The SVS speakers shine in all aspects. The is accomplished with the front stage being all tonally balanced SVS speakers.

I've had a few weeks to break these in. Originally I bought the Prime Pinnacle Towers. They were very good as well. When I bought the Pinnacles the "SVS - Ultra Evolution Tower" wasn't available yet. I debated for quite some time but all my other SVS Speakers were Ultra Series so it made sense to match the front left and right Ultra Towers. These are $1500/each. A great entry level choice if your budget don't allow for the other two Ultra Towers which costs $2000 and $2500. I'm sure those sound awesome as well if you have the budget for them but the $1500 pair is great for my 14 x 14 den. The frequency range is great when paired with Ultra Center Channel and SB 3000 subwoofer. To me at times I feel the sound quality is better than my local theatre. I might be exaggerating a little, but these speakers are definitely worth the price!
