A: The motion detection is very good. It can be adjusted to: low, low/medium, medium, medium/high, or high. For Away, which I use during the day, I have it set to low/medium. For Night I use medium.
Q: Can the floodlight be wired and howlong do the battery last
A: The Swann Floodlight Camera is meant to be hard-wired using your exisiting wiring. The camera doesn't have any batteries.
Q: How long are the recorded clips? Do the clips start before motion is detected?
A: I think the clips are about 30 seconds. They do seem to start before motion is detected, which results in complete clips of the action.
Q: When a light goes out you have to buy a new flood light is that correct??
A: It is very unlikely for the light to go out. The light are LEDs and they have a life span beteween 30,000 - 50,000 hours.
A: The app gives you the option to turn on the light or not when you turn the light on it will stay on until you turn it off when you turn it off the motion detector sensors and turns the light on then

A: Yes! You can zoom in with the app.
Q: can I turn the lights off during the day light hours
A: Hello Lilly1949, The camera's built-in night detection sensor, which detects daylight and night (ambient brightness levels),automatically keeps the floodlights off during daytime to conserve electricity and make your floodlights last longer.You can still manually turn on the floodlights during the day using the light control tile on the dashboard or the live view screen. A: Once an event is triggered, the camera records for a minimum of 10 seconds, and if movement continues will keep recording for up to one minute per event. You do not have the option to record continuously. Your camera can detect movement of a person up to 32ft / 10m from the camera when on the highest True Detect Motion Sensitivity settings. More intense heat sources (e.g. vehicles) may detect a little further away and less intense heat sources (e.g. pets/small animals) may need to be a little closer before they are detected.
