Customer Ratings & Reviews

I absolutely love my new switch! My fiancee bought this for me for Christmas(: i also have the oled version and can confidently say the screen on the new switch looks just as nice and bright and detailed if not better. The battery life is pretty short, i got about 2.5 hours in handheld mode playing cyberpunk 2077 but you can play while docked or charging. Definitely would carry a power bank if you plan to use this on the go. I love the larger size screen, and new joycons. I bought some joycon grips off amazon that make it MUCH easier to hold while playing in handheld mode and it just feels more natural in the hand especially if you are used to xbox controllers like I am. The storage capacity is Definitely lacking, i filled mine up in only 2 weeks but i did buy several downloaded games. So I'd say Definitely stick to the physical games if you can, definitely buy an express SD card (I got 512gb) you will lose some gb, you never get the full amount advertised, my 512gb express sd card only has 456gb of usable space. Hope this helped someone!

Screen size feels satisfactory and the overall image quality is nice. I like the sleek look to it with the pops of color on the joycon. Doesn't feel any more or less portable than the previous Switch. Performance-wise, I haven't had any issues with it, though I didn't have any with the previous Switch either (though I know people who did). It could use more original titles, but I know that will be solved in time. Overall, I recommend it if there is a title you feel very strongly about only available on the Switch 2.

At first I was a bit worried that it wasn’t going to meet my expectations when I bought it, but boy was I wrong. The graphics look great, and it’s definitely a step up from the first switch, it can run third-party games excellently, even better when on the dock! The graphics look great and bright, the joycons look and feel very nice and clean and the larger size makes it worth the money. However, it’s pretty much a stronger and larger original switch with not much new content on the software, but the games are the main focus. The games for the switch 2 are a bit expensive, my first game on this console was Mario Kart World, which was around 80 dollars, however they are very fun and Nintendo definitely put thought into the games. The switch 2 is also compatible with switch 1 games, meaning you don’t have to switch between consoles or buy the game again to replay them. Overall, the switch 2 is a great product and perfect for people who want to play on the big screen and relax, or people who are constantly moving around or traveling, it can be used by anyone!

I’ve been using the Nintendo Switch 2 for a little while now and it feels like a solid improvement over the original. The performance is smoother, load times are faster, and games look noticeably better both docked and handheld. The screen quality and overall responsiveness make a big difference during longer gaming sessions. The system still keeps the portability and convenience that made the original Switch great, but everything feels more refined. Battery life has been decent so far, and the controls feel comfortable and responsive. Setup was simple and transferring over from a previous Switch was straightforward. If you already enjoy Nintendo games and handheld gaming, this is an easy recommendation. It feels like a true next-generation version of the Switch rather than just a small refresh.

I bought this for the same reason most people bought it haha but its become one of my main forms of gaming. The graphics are good and I like that there are 2 charging ports. Its a bit on the heavier side compared to the switch 1 and its obviously bigger. I didnt get a chance to see or test a display before I bought it so these were all surprises to me. Ive noticed that Im not able to play for extended amounts of time before I need to plug it in, Its not an issue for me but the battery life could be better.

I gotta say this is a huge upgrade from switch 1 hardware with what seems like a powerful nvidia apu and 12gb ram. Switch had 3gb ram for games and it did wonders so this has gotta do much more. The screen is really nice and vibrant, yes oled panels are nicer but I honestly don’t mind LCD panels. The design is gorgeous and it is comfortable to hold for hours on end. At this price point it is a pretty powerful hybrid console and I can’t complain much about it! I primarily play in handheld mode unless I’m playing something like Mario kart or Mario party with family. So far I have played cyberpunk which looks and plays super smooth compared to my steam deck and I prefer this over steamdeck any day of the week. Mario kart looks great and crisp, Zelda botw and Totk, links awakening look so crisp and the framerate is solid 60. I just wish we had more launch games but I’m patiently waiting for Donkey Kong bananza which looks insane. Overall the system at launch has solid hardware and software is clean and the games so far are great and love that switch 1 games some upgraded and those that aren’t load faster and have solid framerates. I’m curious to see how this generation will be. I’m wondering if Nintendo will introduce the Switch 2 Lite and Switch 2 Oled in a few years or maybe even a stronger version of Switch 2, idk. I highly recommend the switch 2 even though there is bit of a wait for new switch 2 exclusive games to come out.

The switch 2 has breathed new life into my switch physical collection. All the games I missed out on or flat out dropped mid play due to low performance or bad visuals have been amazing to play on the switch 2. The console is thin and light compared to other handhelds. Games are perfectly optimized for the s2 vs pc handhelds where you have to tweak individual settings to get playable frame rates which gets tiring. The docking experience is seamless. Also my 8bitdo controller from my original switch works with the s2 after a controller and dongle firmware update which is a nice feature from 8bitdo so money saved there. I actually stopped playing and sold my ally z1x in favor for the s2 because the screen is so much nicer, bigger and it’s just easy to pick up and play due to quick resume. **Make sure you put a screen protector on it day one**

Short rundown: Screen 1080p. Can do HDR, VRR, and 120FPS. Body Bigger than Switch 1. Bigger joycons. Docked Can do 4K, 120 FPS, and HDR. Storage 256GB. Battery 2 hours, 3 with moderate brightness. I cannot count the number of hours I spent on my Switch 1. From playing inside, outside, and everywhere in between, the Switch 1 has been a steady companion giving nothing but joy, and asking for nothing in return. Sure, there have been negatives like drift (Left Joy-Con getting drift 5 times, but Nintendo still does repairs for free). I can't personally play handheld too long, or I get hand cramps. Those gripes aside, the Switch 2 was simply better than I expected it to be. With the Switch 2 now in hand, I can confidently say that hand cramps have largely been eliminated. I can play significantly longer than I could on the Switch 1, and all by virtue of the fact that Nintendo simply made them larger. Drift?we'll know soon enough whether Nintendo has redesigned them to withstand gaming. It's only been 3 months... What shocked me is how great the screen is. I play docked more than I do handheld, but the full 1080p screen makes it worth playing handheld more than I ever did with the Switch 1. The HDR(punches up the graphics) isn't just some buzzword. It really makes everything look better. I don't have a 4K TV, but when I do, I'll be playing games docked at 4k, but will probably pay extra to take advantage of 120 FPS when I do. Chat works. Both docked and handheld. Didn't get the camera, but you can use a phone if you have the right cables. The one thing I am the most happy about are the Switch 2's load times ON SWITCH INTERNAL STORAGE. Waframe could take 2 to 3 minutes. It's now about 30 seconds. Tears of the Kingdom is about 15. I don't have one of the newer microSD Express card's, but with an average of 800 bits per second, I'm sure they're only 10 seconds or more. Now to gripes. $500 is a tall order for anyone. That can be half month's rent! So, saving up is one way to go about it, but Best Buy does have good financing options. Adding gift cards to your account(KEEP THAT PASSWORD SAFE) is also a way. Battery life can be 3 hours, but most people average 2. That's why there's a second USB-C port on the top. My hands still cramp, but that's after maybe 2 hours. It's a Me thing. What it really is for me is that my thumb hates the placement of the right joycon buttons and sticks. If the Switch 1 never bothered you, you're good to go. Mouse mode can be a bit awkward, but the Switch 2 allows some 3rd party mice, so that can be dealt with. Overall, I give the Switch 2 a 9/10. I can finally play handheld on a console that was meant for it, and with a full HD screen. Time-sensitive hand cramps and battery life aside, this is better than the Switch 1.

I recently got my hands on the Nintendo Switch 2, and it’s been a fantastic upgrade from the original model. It’s perfect for casual gaming, whether I’m lounging on the couch, playing in bed, or traveling — the portability makes it incredibly convenient without compromising performance. Compared to the original Switch, the graphics and responsiveness are noticeably improved, making games look sharper and run smoother. The controls feel comfortable for long sessions, and the screen is bright and clear, which makes handheld play really enjoyable. Battery life is solid as well, so I don’t have to worry about constantly charging when I’m on the go. Overall, the Nintendo Switch 2 is a highly capable and versatile gaming device. It’s great for casual gamers who want flexibility in how and where they play, and it really outperforms the old Switch in terms of visuals, performance, and overall experience.

What I loved was that it had a giant screen and the system handles everything easily it wasn’t laggy and it was great an issue was the battery because it rinds out quick but otherwise was great. How I use it is to play games with the joy cons disconnected to play Mario oddesy or Mario kart and I usually use it at work or mainly at home.

I bought the new Nintendo Switch 2 at Best Buy and the truth is that it has been one of the best purchases I have ever made. The console is super versatile: I can play on the TV with excellent quality, but also take it with me and continue playing without problems. The improvement in graphics and performance is very noticeable, the games run more fluid and the experience is much more immersive. Something I loved is how easy it is to use, from the initial configuration to switching between game modes. The controls are comfortable and respond very well, perfect for both playing alone and with family. In addition, the battery has a good duration, which makes it ideal for trips or busy days. The purchase at Best Buy was perfect: fast process, punctual delivery and the product arrived in excellent condition. I definitely recommend the Nintendo Switch 2 to anyone who wants guaranteed fun, either to relax or share with others. It's totally worth it!

I have been very much enjoying the Nintendo Switch 2 as someone who has owned an original Switch since 2017. It upgrades almost every important aspect of the original. Better hardware performance, better build quality, bigger screen, etc. But it doesn't do anything ground breaking or new, but that's okay. The Switch was a massive success so this is obviously made to appeal to Switch 1 owners. If you didn't own or weren't interested in an original Switch than this console isn't for you. Being able to play original switch games without any frame rate issues has added a whole list of new games I want to play/replay. Despite what many others say I think the price point is pretty fair. It's expensive but it is high end performance with a good screen and dock. The steam deck for example is $400 with about the same game performance but does not have detachable joy cons or a dock included. There is some missed potential though. The screen while bright and big, has some minor but noticeable ghosting issues on certain games, and the HDR is weak. Game key cards are a hotly debated topic but I am very disappointing in both the companies using them and Nintendo for making it. I would still rather buy a key card than a digital key as at least I own the license however I still do not own the game. It annoys me because if the normal cards are too expensive, such an obvious solution is to have an "install card" that has the game on a slower, cheaper card but requires an install to internal storage. That way you don't need internet but companies can still have a cheaper option. Some of the shortcomings of the original have also not been fixed. The Ui is still bland with no customization or music, the joy cons are still not ergonomic, and the battery life hasn't improved. I'm happy with it overall though. It's really the upgrade the Switch needed and it will definitely by main way to play games for the foreseeable future.

I was on the fence about getting a console ans missed the pre-order then was frantic when they werw all sold out. I for super lucky worh the small Beat Buy reatock and dis not let it pass me by. I have all 4 switches. The 1, Lite, OLED and now 2. Yhis by far is my favorite just for rhe graphics alone. Its comfortable to hold ans ao fun to play. The battery life was a bit funky but i did the reboot everyone talks about on Tik Tok and havent has a problem. I pive the new Mario Kart World. Its so much fun to play ans can become veey addicting. The peice was a bit stwep but after playing i do geel its worrh it. The only downside is the new license agreement and not being able to purchase Switch 2 physical games but the old cartridges still work on thos console. The graphics arent as sharp on rhe okder games but the quality is still much bwttwr in my opinion.

We recently purchased the Nintendo Switch 2 from Best Buy during their late night release—and it was more than just a product, it was a milestone moment for our 9-year-old son. He spent the last three years saving every birthday dollar, allowance, and spare change just to buy this system on his own. Watching his face light up as he proudly paid for it himself was unforgettable. The staff at Best Buy were incredibly kind and made the whole experience even more special, treating him like a VIP during the release event. The Switch 2 itself is amazing—sleek, powerful, and packed with features. The performance upgrade is noticeable, and the graphics are stunning. It’s everything he hoped for and more. He’s been carefully unboxing, setting up, and exploring the games with pure joy. Thank you, Nintendo and Best Buy, for helping make a young kid’s dream come true. This wasn’t just a console—it was a reward for years of patience, responsibility, and hard work. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for the next generation of fun!

Upgrading from the Switch 1, the Nintendo Switch 2 is an amazing piece of technology that takes what’s great about the Nintendo Switch and improves upon it. Internally, the Switch 2 is double the power of its predecessor with a newer CPU and GPU, triple the RAM (12GB), 1080p on handheld/tabletop mode, 4K HDR support when docked, and so much more. When playing Nintendo Switch games on it, most of them run with enhanced resolution and faster load times, effectively making it a Switch 1 Pro. That being said, despite every good thing that I’ve mentioned so far, there are certain aspects that can hinder the overall experience. The battery life is only around 2-3 hours (compared to 4.5-9 hours on the Switch OLED), 256GB of internal storage isn’t enough for storing dozens of digital games without expanding it via a microSD Express card (which, by the way, it doesn’t support regular microSD cards for storing games), but most importantly, the fact that Nintendo is charging $450 for this + $70-80 per first-party Switch 2 game. If you’re very selective with what games you get or are just looking to upgrade for the long-term, the Nintendo Switch 2 is a good console and can be a worthwhile upgrade for Switch 1 owners. You just have to be very careful if you’re looking to save money or prioritize which games and accessories have the best value for you.

I was a sceptic for a year now, I was one of the guys that complained about the switch 2 not being powerful enough to justify it's existence and also it's library being puffed up with ports and between $70-80. However, due to the recent RAM crisis and Nintendo's recent acts of good will, I can say that it truly is worth the buy. Especially now that games like pokopia and fire emblem fortunes weave exist. There's something interesting about this console, it seems like no matter what game you play it performs like it's locked in 60 fps, which speaks to the focus on optimization that Nintendo dominates in. HDR and 120hz is amazing. And It's GPU chipset is also manufactured from the same architecture as the 3050 I believe, so solid performance there. Also, much praise for the handheld boost mode. It significantly increases the look and performance of games when undocked. P.s. be aware that the console requires a Micro SD Express card to install games on due to requiring increased read speeds so don't waste your money on a normal Micro SD Card.

Even though I mainly play just pokemon games, this is a perfect pair for the Legends Z-A performance wise. It is very smooth. Load times are snappy. Screen responsiveness is smooth. The OLED screen was enough for me, but sure, extra real state for the eyes, I’ll take it. Oh, and it never got bulkier than I thought. It’s battery hungry for sure, but I like that they put an extra USB C on top of the console so you can plug it in a portable battery pack, no need to dock it, while playing table top.

I recently purchased a Nintendo Switch from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The buying process was smooth and easy, and the staff was helpful when I had questions about the different bundles and accessories. As for the console itself, the Nintendo Switch is absolutely amazing. I love how versatile it is—you can play it on the TV for a full gaming experience or take it on the go in handheld mode. The graphics are great, and the gameplay is smooth across all the games I’ve tried so far. One of my favorite things is how fun it is to play with friends and family. The Joy-Cons make it easy to jump into multiplayer games anywhere, anytime. Battery life is solid, and the setup was quick and simple. Overall, I highly recommend the Nintendo Switch, especially if you’re looking for a console that offers both portability and high-quality gaming. Great product and great service from Best Buy!

I had been wanting one of these for quite some time and was reluctant to purchase one and upgrade my Gen 2 Switch because of the price, and I had also watched a few YouTube videos about all the pros and cons. But honestly I decided that the cons didn’t seem all that bad and didn’t affect me anyways. I cancelled a few streaming services and put the purchase on my Best Buy card to pay for it over the next 12 months so I could justify buying it and I gotta say that this thing is a massive upgrade from the original switch. It feels so much more quality built in my hands. The display and graphics are beautiful. The sound quality and volume is fantastic in handheld mode. The one downside is that the battery life doesn’t last as long as I thought it might, but it still gets a solid 4 hours of gameplay with sound and brightness up. All-in-all I love this thing and have been having a blast playing Tears of The Kingdom (Switch 2 Edition)

A great console, I mostly use it in handheld mode but its such a huge improvement in docked mode over the previous Switch, being able to do up to 4K with supported games is great. As far as handheld mode, having a bigger screen that is lcd but solid is very nice and makes a big difference! Its 120hz with VRR which is a nice touch. I know many complain about the price but compared to other handheld PCs its priced great for this model with just console, no games at $450.
