About this product

Double vinyl LP pressing. 2012 from the Australian Alt-Psych rockers. Kevin Parker (vocals/guitar) and Dominic Simper (bass) formed Tame Impala as 13-year-olds in Perth in 1999, sticking to bedroom recordings until 2007, when Jay Watson joined them on drums and backing vocals. Their sound was pure late '60s, but wasn't the sound of any specific band from the era. They were as likely to be channeling the Nazz as the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Cocooned away inside walls of Psychedelic Fuzz in Western Australia they re-created their preferred period one song at a time with the aid of gear and production techniques that sounded like they hadn't been dusted off since 1968. Album Tracks 1. Be Above It 2. Endors Toi 3. Apocalypse Dreams 4. Mind Mischief 5. Music to Walk Home By 6. Why Won't They Talk to Me? 1. Feels Like We Only Go Backwards 2. Keep on Lying 3. Elephant 4. She Just Won't Believe Me 5. Nothing That Has Happened So Far Has Been Anything We Could Control 6. Sun's Coming Up

    Great psych pop.

This was my favorite album of 2012. A bit mellower than Innerspeaker, but it does have faster paced tracks like " Apocalypse Dreams" & "Elephant". "Keep On Lying" starts out as pure synth pop then turns into some kind of hippie space jam with trippy guitars layered over it... just fantastic. "Music To Walk Home By" is another standout track.

Momma - Household Name - Sand - VINYL LP

Sand Vinyl. Following Momma's beloved 2020 LP Two of Me, which introduced the world to the symbiotic writing style and profound creative intuition of founders Etta Friedman and Allegra Weingarten, the band's third studio album Household Name reveals an exciting new chapter marked by both personal and artistic growth. Mastered by Grammy-winning engineer Emily Lazar, the album is a tightly-stitched collection that is magnetic and dynamic, and also marks their debut for Polyvinyl Record Co./Lucky Number-who signed Momma in the midst of the pandemic.Bygone heroes helped inspire a lyrical theme throughout Household Name the rise and fall of the rock star, and the tropes and tribulations that come with that arc. The theme allowed the group to celebrate (and, in some cases, directly reference) icons like Nirvana, Pavement, Smashing Pumpkins, Veruca Salt, and the Breeders' Kim Deal, while weaving in their own perspective and experiences. Standouts like InchMedicine,Inch which The Line of Best Fit described as an Inchaddictive alt-rock tonic,Inch and InchSpeeding 72Inch showcase the band's knack for developing hooky guitar lines paired with an intricate, yet boisterous rhythm section. The album perfects a balance of heavy riffs, deep emotions, inviting sonic production, and a lighthearted, wry sense of humor, creating a singular lane for Momma in today's world of alt rock. In addition to a full US tour supporting Snail Mail and recent club dates with Wet Leg, and Greer, Momma have been featured in outlets such as DIY, NPR, Stereogum, and Rolling Stone, who featured them as 2020's InchArtist You Need To Know.InchInchOne of nouveau grunge's best-kept secrets.Inch - Guitar World MagazineInchOver toppling drums and gripping guitar riffs, InchMedicineInch reveals that Momma have tightened their songwriting craft.Inch - FLOODInchIt's a fun juxtaposition, and a feeling many can rela

King Crimson - Red: 50th Anniversary - 2024 Steven Wilson & David Singleton Elemental Mixes - - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Deluxe two CD + two Blu-Ray edition. Panegyric proudly present the 50th anniversary edition of the King Crimson classic album Red. Features completely new Dolby Atmos, 5. 1 DTS-HD Master Audio Surround & Stereo mixes by Steven Wilson taking the music to new levels of clarity & power. 'Red' was one of the earliest mixes undertaken by Steven Wilson in 2009 & King Crimson was the first of a number of classic band's & artists to be mixed by Steven so it's entirely appropriate that he return, some 15 years later, to take the album into the Dolby Atmos era. Also, featured are a complete album's worth of Elemental Mixes by long-time King Crimson producer (& band manager) David Singleton - using the original multi-track recordings to present a very different audio picture of the album, with greater separation of instruments & utilizing many recorded elements recorded for, but not included in, the original mixes. Multiple new to disc tracks & studio takes - representing all material to survive from the recording sessions have also been mixed &/or mastered for inclusion, making this the most comprehensive overview of the album to be released. Red was recorded immediately after King Crimson's final US tour of 1974 & the anniversary edition reflects that by including all three Hi-Res Stereo mixes of the live album USA in it's full concert versions. Also included are a quintet of audio restored bootlegs being issued on disc for the first time, alongside a bootleg of the band's final US concert in New York in 1974 which Robert Fripp claimed was Inchthe first gig since the 1969 Crimson where the bottom of my spine registered 'out of this world' to the same degreeInch Blu-ray All region.
