I had no idea what ring size I was before coming in but the store had a sizing display set up which made things really easy. Once I figured out my size they didn't have it on the shelf so I asked an associate who went to the back and tracked one down for me. He then took me to a nearby checkout and we knocked out the whole transaction right there on the spot. Super smooth from start to finish and I feel good knowing exactly where I got my crypto wallet from. Been using the Tangem Ring for about a week now and I am genuinely impressed. For me the best unexpected benefit is that just having it on my finger keeps crypto top of mind throughout the day. I end up reading more, researching more and thinking about buying BTC more consistently than I ever did before. When I don't have a physical reminder like this I get pulled in a million different directions so it has been a surprisingly meaningful motivator. Solid product and a great in-store experience to go along with it.

I currently have a portable, hand held size crypto wallet that I typically forget about, and never have with me when I want it. For this reason I never gave it much thought, or considered wearable crypto storage as an option, but then I had one, and it's so convenient that I have changed my mind about needing one. This review is based on 1.5 weeks of wearing and paired with the iPhone app.  TL:DR - Tangem is solving a problem we didn't know we had, how to keep your crypto cold storage close, accessible, secure, and discreet. While I didn't need a wearable, it sure is convenient not to worry about where I store my wallet, or making sure to have it on me when I need it.  Pros: Zirconia ceramic ring means it's durable and scratch resistant Supports 50+ different cryptocurrencies, with easy to view app layout EAL6+ - formally verified and tested design No battery to charge Easy and intuitive setup Cons: The ring material is highly durable but will shatter under impact. I haven't yet damaged this ring, but I am careful at the gym and when doing chores not to hit it against brick or metal surfaces. In the box is the ring, 2 x NFC cards, and paperwork. Setup is straightforward, download the app and set up your wallet. Setup time from out of the box to up and running is under 5 minutes, which includes setting up both the ring and at least one backup card plus setting up an access code to prevent unintended access if someone found the card or ring. To use it you place your card or ring on the edge of your phone where the NFC reader is, like you would for a tap to pay transaction. Adding funds is standard, select receive in the wallet app, get the bitcoin address, and use that to send. Funds show up quickly (<10 min), pending sending location. You can add currency types to monitor as well as the different types of currency you hold. Ultimately, I let my teenager set this up as his first crypto wallet, he had no issues, and didn't need intervention, so I give it a solid 5 stars on ease of setup and use.  As for the design, the cards are similar to a bank card, without the raised numbers. They are sleek and standard size to fit in your wallet.  The ring is a quality and comfortable design, with a shiny almost metallic black look that is lightweight but super durable, see photo for comparison against the "shadow" color Oura ring.  The ring is just under 3mm at the thickest part with a 8mm wide band, weighing in at 5 grams, built from zirconia ceramic. This means it's comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and doesn't get heavy or hot, like some metals tend to do. I also really like the fact that it's discreet to use, so no one needs to know that my ring is a crypto wallet, I can open the app, hold the phone against my hand, and access my wallet without drawing attention due to having to connect to a physical wallet device.  A few other things to note, the EAL (evaluation assurance) rating is higher than what I've seen in prior years. When I purchased my first wallet in 2025, 5+ was the industry gold standard for high-end consumer wallets. Tangem is rated at a 6+ which means it provides a higher level of verification combined with independent security auditing to achieve this rating. What it means to you is that this rating indicates it was engineered and tested to withstand sophisticated attacks aimed at extracting your wallet info. The Tangem website compares this level of security criteria up there with biometric passports, sovereign IDs, and high-security military grade hardware. Second is that the key generation is completely inside the ring, so they are not shared with the mobile device, the Tangem app, or via internet during a NFC transaction tap. The only consideration you may have when choosing the Tangem ring over a different style wallet is the fact that you do not have a screen to independently verify the transaction, so if your mobile device has malware or experiences a targeted attack, what you see in the wallet app may not be actual. As a hobbyist, with less than 5 figures of crypto, I don't have any concerns about being targeted for malicious software schemes in my phone, but your mileage (and paranoia) may differ. Bottom line, do I need this ring as a crypto wallet... no, but do I really appreciate the style, convenience, and discreet accessibility to my wallet at any point, absolutely!

The Tangem ring and cards is very simply your access key via nfc to access your Tangem account/platform with your crypto and NFTs. It’s a secure way to keep your digital assets safe! I was impressed by how the ring look. This is my first black ring, which I was kind of skeptical about, but it honestly looks like a color scheme created by Apple. The black shine is just awesome. It feels like glass, looks amazing and yet feels very durable. It is made of Zirconia Ceramic which is durable and you can absolutely get this wet. The cards are also high quality and feel like they are made of metal but I’m not necessarily sure. Everything is rated to be scratch resistant, high durable, and made in Switzerland with the highest integrity along with the highest security measures from Kudelski Security and Riscure. On top of that the cards and ring have a 25 year warranty (I don’t think the warranty covers assets). The setup was pretty easy and took about 5-10 minutes at least before establishing bank accounts. The box and packaging is premium and quaint. Once you have the ring and two cards out, scan the provided QR code to download the Tangem app. Onboarding into Tangem was very easy, answer some very basic questions, and then begin connecting your hardware via nfc. I have a iPhone 17 pro so I had no trouble connecting and no one with an iPhone 6 or newer should have any difficulties. The longest part was pairing the ring and two cards to my account. I had to go through holding each the ring and two cards separately to the back of my phone for two rounds. I’m not quite sure why I had to do it twice but this was the setup. Once everything was linked your in! To add your credit, debit card or account select a crypto, click buy, then you get to choose who handles the transaction and rate. Once you select a rate then you use a third party like simplex to process the transaction. I noticed using simplex made things cheaper and requires a few minutes of your time. Your other option is Apple Pay which is instant but also at a higher cost rate for the transaction. You can also swap crypto for one currency to another…..pretty cool! I have not tried it yet but I have crypto on Sofi which I can transfer to Tangem….also pretty cool! Overall usage and thoughts for the future. The app is very clean and direct. I feel as though Tangem is trying to limit stress and make crypto trading simple and easy to do securely. The app focuses only on crypto and nfts so the stock market doesn’t interfere especially when it comes to the news section. I haven’t had the app long enough to determine how bias it is and if it even is. I would recommended the cards and ring to anyone looking for digital asset hardware.

I’ve been interested in cryptocurrency for a while now, but I haven’t ever invested in it heavily. I do have one small Bitcoin account through a different financial platform, but it was gifted to me and I’ve never really done much with it. That said, I love the idea of the Tangem Ring acting as your wallet. It seems much more convenient than carrying around a separate hardware device every time you need to access your crypto. Even though I’m not a crypto expert, I found the setup process surprisingly simple. After downloading the Tangem app, I paired the ring and the two included backup cards with my phone using NFC. The app walks you through each step, so it never felt overwhelming or overly technical. One thing I like about Tangem’s approach is that the ring isn’t trying to be another smart ring. It doesn’t have a battery that needs charging or features that you’ll probably never use. Its sole purpose is to securely authenticate access to your wallet, and I appreciate that simplicity. The ring is very well-built. The ceramic finish gives it a clean, premium look, and unless someone knew what it was, they’d probably assume it was just a stylish black ring. It’s lightweight, comfortable, and doesn’t really draw attention to itself. I like that it’s plain and there is no branding on it. As I mentioned, I had some bitcoin stored on a different exchange. In order to get it into the Tangem system, I had to basically transfer it over. That way, Tangem became my new wallet. The Tangem app is well designed. It’s clean, easy to navigate, and makes it simple to view your assets, receive cryptocurrency, or transfer funds when needed. I never felt like I was digging through complicated menus to find what I needed. Overall, I came away impressed with how approachable the Tangem Ring makes hardware wallet security. If you’ve been curious about moving your cryptocurrency off an exchange and into a wallet that you control, this feels like one of the easiest ways to get started. It combines strong security with a simple setup and a design that doesn’t feel intimidating, even for someone who is still fairly new to crypto.

I have never given a one star rating to a product before, but I honestly feel painted into a corner with this wallet... I'll tell you why. First off, I am not a "Crypto Bro". I got a Ledger device a few years ago, deposited like $70, and it's worth maybe $400 now. Yay. But other than that, crypto is a very passive hobby, at best, so take that for what it's worth. Secondly, the ring itself is kind'a cool. The ceramic is deep, dark, and attractive. But as a wallet? Nope. OK, I downloaded the app, and setup was pretty simple. Entered basic info, registered the ring, registered the 2 backup cards was pretty simple. Maybe 5 minutes from opening box to having to ready to go... Then everything went south, big time. OK, I have the app, ring and both cards registered, I should be good to go, right? I went to add funds in the Tangem app, and I flat out couldn't. I tried from multiple platforms using Google Pay and Google Wallet... Nope. Every single time, on every single platform, when I hit the "confirm Order" button, nothing happened, and I mean NOTHING. It would not process the order. Again, this happened several times, and with no less than 6 different platforms. OK, I'm not going to give up, 'cuz that's not me. OK, cool... I chose the "credit Card" option... Added my card, went to purchase and got the error message "It is highly unlikely the card provider will let you purchase crypto funds." For the record, this card is not some Bank Of Central Juarez, off brand sketch provider, it's Chase. But the same error, multiple times, on multiple platforms... Am I ready to give up? Nope. Did the same thing with my American Express card, and guess what? Same error. A waste 1.5 hours, and measured frustration. Looking at the screen-shots, one might ask, "Well sire, you should have paid with your PayPal or Venmo account." NOPE. NEVER. NOT GOIN G TO HAPPEN. I DO NOT and I WILL NOT, EVER, have one of those platforms for ANY financial transactions. I DO NOT trust them. "Well, how about a debit card?", one might ask. Again, same answer... I DO NOT and I WILL NEVER have a debit card. I am cash only, and credit for travel and when credit is the only payment option. Nope. End of the day, this was a waste of two hours. I have the equivalent of a $60 zirconia ceramic, halfway decent ring, but I have no crypto wallet. Not cool. Not enjoyable. Actually, the opposite... Left me with a bad taste. I might fiddle with it tomorrow, but honestly, I am not sure if I care enough. I might just shred the cards and keep the ring for when the "fashion" mood strikes. Sorry, but so far, a waste of my time.

After using a Ledger hardware wallet, I was skeptical how I would like this at first. The quality, setup and functionality has exceeded my expectations. It comes well packaged and the setup instructions are super simple. The ring does not need to be charged and is ready to go out of the box. All that is needed is to download the Tangem application from the IOS or Android store and follow the straightforward setup instructions. Key generation is a breeze and there are two backup cards in addition to the ring. You simple tap each one to generate the keys that are tied to your personal wallet. The cards are heavy duty credit card material and can easily be stored in a wallet or safe. The ring is amazing and the quality is much better than you would expect. It is a high quality ceramic that feels high quality, yet light. It is waterproof and can be worn with you at all times without having to remove to wash your hands or shower. The ring has the look and feel of an Oura ring and to me feels just like wearing the Oura 4 I have. The finish is a shiney dark black color that looks great wearing all the time. After a full 24 hours of wearing it, I hardly even know I have it own. It has life expectancy of 25 years and this is on par with regular everyday jewelry and you will be proud to wear and show it off. I like the Tangem application better than other wallets I have used. It supports a ton of crypto and my first purchase and transfer was seamless. The application has a wealth of stacking options for a surprising large amount of crypto. I was able setup the wallet, transfer crypto from another wallet and start stacking the crypto in about 5 minutes. Of course, not all crypto has a stacking option but Tangem supports all the major crypto that do. The application is clean and you can view your crypto, purchase crypto and transfer crypto with very little effort. I feel confident that my crypto is secure with always seeing the attractive ring and knowing I have the backup cards in case it is lost or stolen. Even if someone gets the ring or cards, your crypto is still protected by a password / pin you setup. I highly recommend this wallet for beginners or those with crypto experience. Is very economical for the quality and features and I love wearing the ring as well. The only thing I wish would be improved is being able to tap the ring to your phone's NFC without having to take it off. I have to remove and lay it flat for it to read promptly, but this is only a slight inconvenience. This still much better than having to connect a wallet with a cable, charge and having to find a secure place to store.

So I was very curious about this product and was looking forward to giving it a try out. I have a little bit of cryptocurrency in an app and I worry about the security of the app, sometimes. This allows you to offload that cryptocurrency onto another device controlled by yet another app. The interesting part is that the authentication comes from the NFC cards and ring. The cards I get. They're thin, they're minimalist, they're black, they're cool. The ring, Im not too sure of but to each their own. I think the idea is that you always have your authentication with you and on a seperate secondary card/ring. I'm not really a ring wearer. But I will add a card to my wallet. Set up is very easy. You download their app and you pair all of the included ring and two cards to your phone via NFC. That's it. Now you have the option to purchase new or offload your cryptocurrency to the Tangem app in which YOU hold the authentication to your cryptocurrency. It's very similar to having a crypto wallet - it's just a crypto wallet with separate authentication pieces needed. It's nice to see you have options as to how you want to store your cryptocurrency these days.

Furthermore, for whatever reasoning behind it. There are several cryptocurrencies that don't populate an exchange to facilitate the transaction. I'm not entirely sure if this is related to my geographical location or if this absence is present for everyone where Tangem is available. This isn't something I ever experienced with Ledger as that app would tell you there weren't any exchanges available the moment you selected that crypto. PROS - Extremely beginner-friendly setup and usage - No seed phrase required; reduces stress and risk - Durable, premium ring and card design - Strong security with certified chip and offline key storage - Simple tap-to-use NFC interaction - Clean and easy-to-navigate app - Multiple backup cards instead of manual recovery using multi word seed CONS - Lacks any real desktop support, meaning that every transaction must be carried out from the phone app. - Requires an NFC-compatible smartphone - Slightly repetitive setup process when pairing devices - Less flexibility for advanced crypto users CONCLUSION Tangem does an excellent job of making crypto storage simple, secure, and less intimidating for beginners. By removing technical barriers like seed phrases and complicated hardware, it creates a smooth entry point into self-custody. While it may not offer the flexibility advanced users want, it excels at ease of use and strong built-in security.

I will have to say, this is by far one of the easiest wallets that I have utilized. Security is built into this with a phase you can theoretically easily remember and the physical ring plus up to two other NFC cards for redundancy. Now the trade off is that it is a hardware wallet, so if you lose the hardware, you lose the wallet. Personally a NFC card is easier to deal with the a 12 word recovery phrase which potentially is most safely stored online for me, which isn’t exactly the idea of the whole endeavor, so this hardware solution speaks my language. I can’t say that I am a security genius but the methods seems to be pretty secure from what I have read. The card are nothing really special to look at and you should probably store them in more than one place but the ring is actually really nice and durable. I have been wearing it for a week, the only finger it fits on is my ring figure and I need to wear a fitness ring on the other one so it has replaced my wedding band which I realized was too small when I couldn’t get it off so this will probably just remain my new wedding band as it looks really nice and has stayed looking really nice. I cleaned out the garage, went swimming, went paddleboarding, did some bush clearing, wired in some LEDs into shelves, went to the gym, did a dump run, and of course gone to work but that last one doesn’t exactly speak to the durability. Through it all I figured it would have some scuff marks and get all scratched up but nope, it still looks clean and shiny without a scratch. As for water, I have done diving with NFC cards before without an issue so I wasn’t worried here but I’ll still say it was perfectly fine. NFC is gets its power from the reader and has no battery or power source itself, so it much more resistant to water and heat than other circuitries. Also, without power flowing through it normally the hardware will last much longer than normal electronics as well. Setting up the wallet the first time was definitely simple and something a first time user can do, in fact because of the hardware setup I would say this is probably easier for most newbies to use and understand as well. Though I found trying to set up the wallet on a second phone a little confusing and like I was almost doing something wrong, I realized it was just them trying to make sure someone isn’t opening these rings, setting them up and then reselling them only to empty the wallet out later. But it was definitely not intuitive setting up on a second device. Also, depending on your security interest you may not want to set up face ID on your phone, it is definitely an added convenience but also, it allows anyone with access to your phone and face access to the wallet, now for me, that really isn’t an issue, I don’t really have enough crypto to matter, but for someone with enough to matter, that might be something they skip, especially as it is easy enough to slip the ring off your finger, authenticate with the phrase and ring and your in, I’m not one to check my crypto wallet everyday as we aren’t there in society to use it everyday. If you are wanting that it looks like they offer something called Tangem pay, I didn’t initially have my ID set up in here as I just sent crypto to this wallet from my other wallet which was really simple, but in order to be able to use their visa you will need to ‘register’ the wallet. The QR code online did not work at all for me pre this stage, and I went around in circles for a bit trying to figure this part out. I can’t say that I really see the benefit Tangem pay which is utilizing USDC crypto and it does allow you to be a self-custodian of your money but if someone got ahold of my card number with a skimmer or what not there is no disputing to get the funds back and with how common skimmers are these day, I think I may stick with regular old banking cards for now. I love the wallet and the ability to store digital funds in a more self-reliant way that I can’t be locked out of and with a piece of hardware that gives zero indication that it is something more than just an ordinary ring that looks nice but also doesn’t scream money either. I also love that once you realize how to put it on another phone any android or iphone phone will enable you to get to your wallet relatively easily. I also love that the app is available on github so that theoretically you should never be locked away from your assets.

Is you have a small portfolio this is a good option for you. However, if you have a larger portfolio, multiple backups, a desktop version more than just a cell phone interface is much needed for secure ability. But the idea of always having it with you because it’s a part of your aesthetics your outfit is pretty cool. Even as a female it doesn’t look to Gotti but at the same time it’s hard to overlook it so there’s no forgetting you have it. You also have the card with you and your wallet which is your wallet, but my suggestion is to keep that in a safe place maybe even you’re safe because that’s the only backup you have if for whatever reason you break your ring, which is possible I have heard. It’s very similar to those aura rings except it holds more value ha ha. Not having to charge it or store anywhere so that it re-ups on anything is really good as long as you have it on you. It works with NFC and you are able to use it. Small drawback is you can only access your information via cell phone again, not on your desktop or laptop. It’s also very beginner friendly again if you have a small portfolio, nothing excessive this is perfect. In fact I wouldn’t trust all of my crypto to be on these two assets. I’m also concerned with the long-term solution of app interface and the product within itself is this a five-year product? Is this a 10 year product do I upgrade when the next series of rings come out I’m unsure at this point. For being able to manage my crypto on my phone and physically have it on me is the level of Security that I’ve always wanted. So far so good.
