First off I'm a big Targus fan having just replaced my last backpack of 7 years. Nothing was actually wrong with the last one either, except that I spilled one too many beverages and lunches in there which created a perma-stink situation. These bags are made with durable fabric and this one is no exception. I was in the market anyway but the 20% sale didn't hurt. As far as being eco-friendly, the bag is made from recycled plastic bottles and recyclable plastic components. It features padded back panels with air ventilation, and a nifty water bottle holder and water-resistant bottom. It feels crazy durable and has a simply yet attractive "Go Green" look. Lastly I will say that anything that helps the environment is a good investment; even if you don't work for the EPA. Kudos to Targus on being good citizens!
