For me, this is a very unique TV unlike any I have owned. It is surprisingly thin all around, allowing it to sit very close to the wall using the included flush mounted wall mount, sitting only about 3/4 of an inch from the wall. With the included frame, it turns this TV into décor or art while also being a quality entertainment delivery system. Once the TV is on the wall, it really does hang a lot like a picture frame. Because of the thin design it sits close to the wall. The light wood bezel attaches magnetically in four pieces and rounds out the design. Once the TV is on, setup is simply following the on screen prompts, doing a scan or two with your phone to sign into accounts, and run any updates. It uses WiFI 5, so not the latest WiFi standard, but it’s fast enough for a tvOS to download or stream content. I imagine most will gravitate towards this TV for it’s artistic features. There’s a dedicated gallery button on the top left of the remote that will take you to the T-EXHIBITION menu. From here you have access to hundreds of different artistic photos, backgrounds, animations and more. Selecting an imagine is as simple as navigating to it and selecting it. There isn’t any subscriptions to sign up for or emails to opt in to, they’re just there and available for your enjoyment. I love that. There are several different formats including some slightly animated presentations, accompanied by music. If you prefer to just pull up stills there’s several of those too. You can also use AI generated photos, guided by two selections to set the tone. One selection is style or theme while the other is the object or landscape, to generate an image that is slightly different every time. You can modify the settings to have the picture display as long as you’d like. Personally, I think it stands out the most naturally during the day. The matt screen looks less like a screen and the art really becomes the focus, blending in better with the natural light. As it gets dark it does stand out more as a screen, however, this is when it just stands out as a really good TV. It’s an edge lit QLED TV. While it’s rated for HDR for to get high contrast in HDR content, it does fall short of your standard OLED TV. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t look good and in fact, the brightness you can get from LED plays to the strength of how good this TV looks in the daytime when displaying art, since it can achieve a brighter picture than OLED. There is also a heavy anti-glare layer that allows the TV to be viewed in different lighting scenarios without having distracting light glares ruining the immersive experience. Google TV Smart OS has all that you need to replace your standard tv box. With access to popular apps, smart scanning of your apps to determine programs that can be watched for free, it can intelligently recommend movies or shows you might like, and offer current free movies through Google TV Freeplay. I do highly recommend reading the instructions very carefully for wall mounting. I made the mistake of not noticing I needed to fold my wall template and ended up with a few extra holes. However, with a friend helping to lift, wall mounting this TV was simple and straight forward and while there isn’t any fancy tilt or turn, the TV hangs very nicely like a picture and sits very close to the wall. It’s also very nice that TCL includes a wall mounting bracket along with “feet” for placing on a stand. I found that, while I chose to wall mount my TV, the feet were well built, sturdy, and while slight, had adjustability to height using the screw mounting position. The TV is homekit compatible if you’re in the apple ecosystem. It can also chromecast if you want to share content from your devices or control your TV with your phone. I feel like the included remote has much more functionality than using the homekit remote. With dedicated app and settings buttons, you can quickly navigate to different menus to adjust settings or change preferences. The included remote also has voice support so you can simply hold the microphone button and speak to allow the built in AI features to help determine what you’re looking to accomplish. For me, this TV worked well in my loft. We have a quiet sitting area with a large window, really meant for reading books or getting quiet time. The TV really adds to the relaxing nature of the room with options to display different art options on the wall. I’d say the only thing to be desired is a more robust speaker. The speakers gets very loud without any distortion, however, it’s very flat sounding. I notice it less the more I use it, but I think it would pair well with a soundbar and it wouldn’t be an issue.

Overall, I'm really happy with the TCL A300L. We wanted the look of a frame-style TV without spending considerably more on some of the other options on the market, and once it's actually on the wall, TCL really nailed that part. The biggest thing for me is just how good a 75" TV looks mounted completely flat against the wall. You would think going this large would make the TV dominate the room, but it almost has the opposite effect. Without a mount pushing it several inches off the wall, the room actually feels bigger and cleaner. The included magnetic frame finishes the look nicely, and we love being able to display artwork instead of staring at a giant black rectangle when the TV isn't being used. The art library is huge, and we've already found quite a few pieces that work really well in the room. Picture quality is very good. The QLED colors look great, HDR content looks impressive, and the 120Hz panel handles motion well. Google TV is also easy to use and has all the apps we need. The matte screen is both a pro and a con. Our room gets a lot of natural light, and the reduction in reflections is fantastic. It also makes the artwork look much more convincing when the TV isn't being used. The tradeoff is that the picture isn't quite as crisp or punchy as a comparable glossy screen. That's just the nature of matte displays, and for this type of TV I think the tradeoff is worth it, but it's something to be aware of. My biggest complaint by far was installation. The included drywall anchors started spinning in the wall while I was trying to install the mounts, so I eventually gave up on them and bought toggle bolts. Those worked perfectly and gave me considerably more confidence hanging a 75" TV from the wall. Even more frustrating, the mounting template included in my box was for the 98" model, not the 75". I didn't realize this until after I had already started the installation. I eventually found the correct 75" template online, but that turned what should have been a pretty straightforward installation into a much bigger project than necessary. Definitely check the template before drilling anything. The install took me around 4 hours thanks to all the setbacks. The built-in speakers are another weak point. They're fine for basic TV watching, but they don't match the quality of the picture or the size of the TV. Plan on adding a soundbar if you want decent audio. Those complaints aside, once the installation headache was over, we love the end result. The TV looks fantastic on the wall, performs well in a bright room, has a huge selection of artwork, and doesn't dominate the space despite being 75". Compared with other frame-style TVs on the market, I think the A300L offers a lot for the money. I just wish TCL put the same amount of thought into the installation experience as they did the TV itself.

I had an old LG OLED that was about 10 years old and was on its last leg and although I was nervous about getting a TCL QLED (and subsequent downgrade) I’m glad I took the plunge and got this TV. Unboxing and getting the TV ready to mount was pretty straight forward. I like that this TV uses the new style mount with the separate brackets that sit up high (there is no VESA pattern on the back), additionally theres three strong magnets that’ll hold the TV solid to the mount. It’s hard to get the TV centered where you want using the mounts and studs but that’s where toggle bolts come in!! I used 4, 1/4” toggles in each bracket along with getting a couple of bolts onto studs. Use the toggles, they’re your friends!! Then snap the frame on for a beautiful finish! Once mounted it took a little over 10 minutes to set the TV up and get it running & it helps if you already have a Google account of some type. The picture quality is excellent for what a QLED can deliver, bright with deep blacks and solid resolution speed. I’ve watched movies, sports and regular TV and the picture holds up really well. When watching sports set the TV presets to sports and that’ll greatly reduce motion blur, and then leave it on movies for everything else which will help deliver the deepest blacks and the brightest colors. There’s is some motion blur but it’s not obvious and you have to look for it. The only drawback is the back design, although the HDMI and other related ports are positioned well, how you feed the cords down and out is not the best. The precut channels for the cords to follow aren’t big enough (even the power cord struggle to stay seated in the channel) and I would recommend a recessed box to help hide everything properly. Finally, I like how easy it is to access the art for the Frame aspect of the TV. Push one button on the remote and there’s already several hundred images preloaded onto the TV. Additionally, some of those images AI can put them into motion so you can look at boats floating down the Seine as Monet painted them or Van Gogh flowers, you’ll see the sunlight change on them, which is a really neat touch. This is a great TV and TCL is definitely a player in the higher end TV game!

For the past few years TCL it's been punching up! They definitely came out with some great TV's and don't seem to slow down. That's good for us the consumers i'm for sure happy to see Large panels at an affordable price without sacrificing performance! 📺I have mounted this 75"TCL Designer series in my dining room and i'm loving it! I was first debating between my bedroom since i already have a 77"G3 downstairs. But let me tell you they serve 2 different purposes like sure the OLED has great blacks and everything but this Tv with it's ultra mate panel and QLED technology makes the ART stuff pop so much more and i guess i found it easy on my eyes, in comparison with any other panel. In a darker environment after tweaking a little bit the settings it really even made me rewatch some older movies. Just doesn't put any strain on my eyes even after long hours in front of it! 🧐Performance&Connectivity: TCL’s Designer Series branding isn’t just marketing — the combination of QLED, high brightness, and that ultra matte panel makes artwork, photography, and UI elements look incredibly crisp. The Google TV interface is snappy, apps open quickly, and navigating between streaming services never feels sluggish. The Wi‑Fi connection has been rock‑solid in my setup and casting from my phone happens instantaneous! 🧱Build Quality & Installation: The A300L it's solid and build as well as it looks. It came with a TV stand but i chose to go and mount it on the wall with the Flush mounting brakets that came with the TV. It was super easy to follow the instruction, i did it myself in 30 min tops. Besides the bringing an outlet behid the tv and instaling a media box behind to tuck in the power cable so the TV can be flushed to the wall, i only needed help to lift it on it's support, the rest was very intuitive and easy. 🤔Final thoughts: It doesn’t try to compete with OLED — it offers a different experience entirely, one that’s easier on the eyes, fantastic for art and bright content, and perfect for rooms where reflections are usually a problem. If you want a massive screen that feels premium, performs well, and doesn’t break the bank, the A300L is absolutely worth considering😁

The TCL A300L Designer series is an amazing television! If you are looking for a television that not only plays your media but also acts as a statement piece for your room this is it. The TCL designer series is aesthetically pleasing in the sense that it breaks from the traditional black and grey that we see on most all television units. This model is a picture frame type and blends seamlessly into the wall as a piece of artwork. Display type for this model is LED with 4K resolution with a refresh rate of 120Hz with a matte finish screen that is welcomed in a bright room eliminating a lot of glare and reflection. The TCL A300L operating system is powered by Google TV. I can say Google TV is fast and snappy. The television turns on and is at the home screen in seconds. It hosts all your favorite streaming apps and is connected to your Google account. The sound is decent but I have the television connected to a 5.1.2 surround system and recommend that or a soundbar for better audio. Build quality is excellent on this unit. It has an ultra slim design at a little over an inch wide. The television also comes with feet stands and a wall mount. Kudos to TCL for including the wall mount without having to purchase it separately. I did not use the wall mount for my install as I opted to use the stand which better fit my current setup. The television also comes with light wood colored bezels that magnetically attach. You can use this to switch up the look to fit your tastes which is cool. There is also an app to display artwork and the images are gorgeous. The pics don’t do it justice so be sure to check it out in store if you have the chance. There are preset images and also AI generated images that you can request and some are pretty neat. You can also add borders to the artwork images and adjust size as well to fit you display needs. Watching movies is a pleasure on the TCL A300L and the family loves to gather around and spend time together. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for your next television. TCL has steeped it up with this unit.

I just set up this 75" in my kids new play room and have been quick impressed thus far. When looking at exactly I enjoy about this TV is boils down to a few different areas of focus; picture quality and exterior design First of all from a specs standpoint this tv is a 75" 4K OLED tv. Its weight is a little over 70 lbs too so be sure you have help unboxing if needed. From an input standpoint this tv has nearly all input and outputs you'd ever need, several HDMI output as well as eARC as well. The picture is amazing with its QLED technology. Since this TV is going into a room that is generally well lit, the brightness of this screen really shines. I really like the homescreen of this tv and being able to quickly jump from (streaming) app to app by a click of the button. From a design standpoint, its well built and pretty heavy. It comes with a beige perimeter that can (magnetically) be put around the screen to offset the stock white color of the screen it self. From a mounting standpoint this TV does not support VESA so please be sure your mount fits this tv. I tested it in a pitch black room and a bright room and saw very little impact to picture quality. Setting up was a bit cumbersome but not a deal breaker as the picture quality offset this small annoyance. If you need a TV that will light up a room with its vivid brightness at the cost of deep dark black pixels then this is tv for you. The QLED technology will be vivid regardless of where its placed.

The short version: be aware of what you are buying, as this is a TV that is engineered to first look like art, second be a TV. Which isn't bad, you just need to know what you are getting. The TV is very thin, and has a specialized mount (included) to mount it VERY flush against your wall. This is not your typical VESA mount and, in fact, is not compatible with VESA mounts. Picture quality as a TV is good, not amazing, but very good for a TV in this price range, size and thickness. Since the screen is matte (good for art), that does affect the TV/movie viewing quality a bit. Once I figured out the quirk with how to adjust the picture settings, I'm very happy with the quality; however, the quirk was annoying to figure out. More below Longer: A few reasons why this is 4 stars instead of 5 includes the mounting and picture settings, which I'll get into. Unboxing and setup: Unboxing this giant TV is relatively easy. The box itself has built in instructions for how to open, what to pull out and how to get the TV out without damage. As we wanted this to be an Art TV first, we were really drawn to the flush mount and magnetic wood frame. The mounting kit that is included is very unique, and different than any TV I've ever mounted. It was easy once I figured it out though. One important thing that I feel that TCL should update is the printed template that is included. While very helpful, it is not labeled for TV size, and it's meant to cover a variety of sizes from 55 to 85". While this is great, it wasn't obvious at first, and the instructions don't cover it very well. You need to fold the template in on itself depending on the TV size. There are lines drawn at where to fold, but it's not labeled, nor are the instructions very clear. Once I figured it out and folded it, it lined up perfectly with the back of the TV. I ALMOST mounted it without folding and figured it would just work. I'm very glad I didn't. The template should have something to the effect of "fold here for 75" marked on the template to make it more obvious. Since the TV is meant to be very flush to the wall, there is no room behind it for cords or plugs, so be prepared for a tight area. You need to have all your cabling plugged in prior to mounting, which is a little different compared to VESA as well. There are grooves molded into the back of the TV which allow for all of the cables to run down to the bottom of the TV, which I didn't end up needing as I was using this as a smart TV and mostly art. All I needed was power, which I was mounting it in front of a recessed outlet. So that was easy. Powered on setup: VERY easy. My wife made a comment while watching me set it up that they "sure make it easy nowadays", and it's true. Scan some QR codes and use your phone to finish the setup. This is a google TV, so you need a google account. My iPhone was already set up with my google account so setup took no time at all including getting the TV on wifi, loading the accounts and installing the apps you want to use (Netflix, YouTube tv etc). Picture quality: Again, this is an Art tv first, movie tv second. The picture quality while watching Tv/movies is good, not great. When compared to an OLED it is not good at all, but that's just technology differences. There are a few digital artifacts, especially when watching lower quality videos like YouTube that is not 4k. The colors are very good though, and for an edge lit LED the blacks are surprisingly good. In a dark room there is some flash lighting, but nothing deal breaker by any means. In art mode (accessible by a button on the remote, or set up a time for when it turns on after no activity), this is where the unit shines. Once you get the picture settings dialed in, it sure does look like a piece of framed art especially when viewing an oil based painting. Reason number 2 for 4 stars instead of 5: The picture settings between art and other video sources. You really need to turn brightness down, basically to 0 or slightly higher, for the art to look real at all. The problem is then you can't watch tv well without adjusting the brightness back up. Or so I thought. I FINALLY figured out that if you can't adjust the picture mode while the TV is in art mode, you have to adjust the picture settings while viewing a piece of art in the art gallery. Once I figured that out, set the picture mode to natural (which showed up when doing it this way and is made for viewing art) and set the brightness to 0, it really does start to look like real art. You can then go back into Netflix etc, change the picture settings to whatever you want, and they work independently AND art mode uses the darker settings from the gallery. This was key. This is also fixable via software. Just create a separate picture setting in the art mode, rather than keeping it buried and not obvious. Overall: Fix the quirk with picture settings, which I imagine will be easy via software, and update the printed template to make it more obvious where to fold dependent on which size TV you have, and this would be approaching 5 stars!

Coming from an older TCL NXTframe tv, I was excited to put this updated NXTvision version in my home. The shipping had some issues, but it was more the fault of the shipping company used to ship. TCL can maybe put a packing foam completely surrounding the decorative frame to prevent it from being damaged. The box was damaged and bent the decorative add-on frame that comes with the A300L television set. I’m communicating with TCL to see if I can get replacements. Everything else is working and not damaged. The mounting of the A300L was easy for me because I had an older version that had the same mount. All the parts and hardware are included, making it a bonus because I used to buy mounts separately for other brands. I decided to use premium HDMI for the connections, so it’s not recessed completely to the wall, but it’s a lot closer compared to other wall mounts. Yes, the A300L is that thin and will look like a frame is mounted on the wall. This is a 2-person job to mount or move the television to avoid damage and hurting oneself. Turning on the A300L helped me with my initial setup and software update. This was extremely easy and only required my iPhone and a few quick clicks on the remote. I tried the television speakers, and I think they sound good for what they are. I opted to use my surround sound because of all the obvious reasons, but it’s just my preference. Connecting the A300L with my surround sound speakers using the eARC allows me to adjust the volume with no issues, and it sounds great together. Picture quality is awesome so far, depending on what you’re making the upgrade from. The images are amazing to watch because of the AIPQ processor and Q dot technology. I tried standing close to find imperfections, and it’s hard to find. The 120 refresh rate is great, especially for gaming when I have time to make use of it. For now, I will watch some sport games and fast-action movies. I have no complaints about the picture quality because it’s great for my viewing pleasure. The matte screen helps with the glare, and it also has a blue light filter in the settings. I still experience some glare, but it isn’t as bad. The art option is also a great feature. When you think about it, a big screen is in a room off. Why not take advantage of it by displaying art!? It comes with a wide selection of known art pieces to select from or have it keep changing. You can go a step further and display your kid’s or your artworks. This is a Google TV, so at its core, it is running and makes your tv a real smart tv. It gives recommendations based on what is watched and apps you use. The user interface is smooth and simple to navigate. The remote can take commands by pushing the microphone button. I use it for different tasks since I have a smart home, but it also helps with searching using Google Assistant. The remote is the same as my older TCL, which is sleek. It doesn’t have any rubber coating, so it can be a little slippery. I like it, and it works well. This television will be a big competitor to similar ones because of the price and quality packed into it. I would definitely recommend this A300L. It’s big, heavy about 70 lbs, but beautiful to watch in any living space on or off.

The TCL 300L 75" 4K QLED TV is big and beautiful. The QLED screen is perfect for what this TV was made for. QLED is known for its brightness and color reproduction. It has a matte screen for the same reason...it is a TV that doubles as a picture frame, giving you an almost endless number of artwork that can be displayed on the screen. It literally becomes a piece of art. Make no mistake, this is a beautiful device to have hanging on your wall. And the included proprietary mounting bracket makes it hang much like a picture. That's not so say the picture on this screen is subpar or that it doesn't function well as a TV. To the contrary, the QLED screen is bright and colors pop. I was unable to find an exact nit rating, but it's bright. This, again, is extremely important because one of it's purposes is to serve and artwork during the day. I've heard complaints about the matte screen, and the argument that it reduces contrast and makes colors less vibrant might be valid...but it's not. As I said previously, colors are bright and I should add that blacks are also good. I actually like the matte screen because I really dislike screen glare. I won't talk too much about the OS, Google TV. It works well and does the job. Sound is pretty good for a TV., too. But until someone comes up with a TV that sounds as good as my soundbar, I'll keep using my soundbar. Overall, this TV is a keeper. It's big, and it's truly a piece of artwork hanging on the wall. The screen is bright and colors are really good. The sound quality is decent enough. So, should you buy it? I can't think of a single reason not to.
