Paring this with my TCL QM8 65’ inch setup. Wanted the same brand soundbar as my tv so i am ditching the Vizio I had. Easy setup out of the box. 7.1.4 for $599! I think the total watts this soundbar puts out is over 850 watts which is insane. Love the wireless rear speakers. Yeah the rear speakers still need power but at least you dont got to run wire everywhere from the soundbar. The CEC setup seems to be working good. The sub puts out plenty of power as well and is also wireless. Setup the SonicAI with no issues through the TCL app. Controlling the soundbar from the mobile app is working smoothly as well.

Great quality sound when connected to my QM8K TCL TV, Clean look with excellent audio that is easy to control. Multiple settings For Voice, Sports, Music, etc really enhance the audio in each mode.

The severe lack of adjustment on this device is inexcusable for the price range - there are several within this bracket that have the basic ones (you know, +/- L/R/C/SW/etc.) You get a low/med/hi for the surround volume but the terrible app for the device doesn't even label it as such, just says speaker volume. You get a few canned presets, and a canned AI scan of your listening environment. If you're comfortable with this idea in this price bracket then it might be acceptable, but none of this is new and TCL has no excuse for unbinding at least basic volume leveling from the system. Sound quality is low-mid but that's subjective - sounds muddy compared to what it is replacing - almost like I'm listening to a set out of polarity. I can't balance the room because I can't adjust the output levels beyond a mix & match of their predetermined settings and whatever 'AI sonic' dreams up from my seating positioning.

It’s a really nice affordable Dolby atmos system. It’s plenty loud and the sub works well!! The rear upfiring along with the surround speakers really pull you into movies, games or really anything you’re watching. I highly recommend this especially for the price.

This is a great sound system. We have another brand in the house and by getting an Alexa Echo this has made it even better because we can play music as well throughout and not just TV. I would highly recommend it. It was pretty much a plug and play because we have a TCL TV as well

Added the Q85 sound bar system to my 65 inch QM7 tv. Great addition as the sound is now alot better. Great for movies and sports. TCL is a great choice for a mid priced audio and video products.

Dog loves the new tv and especially the mount. Sleek and holds the 98 without issue! Bestbuy also helped me with a price match after I purchased a tv and they were able to adjust and price due to there price match and refunded the difference. Thank you again Bestbuy!

With over 860 Watts this 7.1.4 sound bar is hard to beat for the price. Most sound bars that have rear speakers are sold separately and the ones that come included in most sound bars are much smaller. This TCL Q85H comes with the wireless rears included perfect to fill the room of any size. Great extra features like Wi-Fi 5 for software updates and AirPlay 2 so you can wirelessly play any audio from your computer , mobile phone or tablet. Also included in the box free wall mount kit along with HDMI cable. TCL also has a user friendly home app to control the sound bar and for software updates. You’d have to spend double or triple the price for these features and quality in a comparable sound bar. With TCL being a global technology company, they are producing some of the best electronics around from TVs home appliances, mobile phones display panels and even sound bars this 7.1.4 TCL sound bar is worth every penny. After setting up the sound bar, I used the mobile app to balance the sound output. It uses the microphone from my cell phone to make sure the sound is balanced in any room that it’s set up in great technology and it makes the sound calibration set up very user-friendly.

If you can find the TCL Q85H for under $500, don’t even think twice; just grab it. At that price, it’s an incredible deal. Sure, it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles some other soundbars in this range offer (like detailed controls for height channels or the subwoofer), but honestly, I think that’s part of its charm. It’s super simple to set up. Just plug it in, and you’re good to go. No confusing menus, no wasted time. It just works, which I really appreciate. I’ve had Vizio soundbars in the past, and I’ve run into so many annoying issues, from random disconnects to overly complicated settings. The Q85H feels like the opposite. It’s straightforward and reliable, which makes it stand out in the best way. If you’ve got one of TCL’s higher-end TVs, like the QM7 or QM8, this soundbar is basically made for you. I have the 2023 QM8, and adding the Q85H has been a total game-changer. The eARC connection works flawlessly, and getting Dolby Atmos across all my devices: my Xbox Series X, Apple TV 4K, and Panasonic UB-820 has been awesome. Bottom line: The TCL Q85H is a simple, powerful, and affordable soundbar that’s perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to mess with a complicated setup but still wants great sound. I couldn’t be happier with it.

Pretty decent build quality, and the subwoofer is small but surprisingly powerful. My main issue is with the rear surround speakers — they’re way too quiet. You can’t adjust the volume of each speaker individually in the app, so to actually hear the rears or feel any immersive Atmos effects, I have to turn the whole system up to an uncomfortably loud level. The TCL app also has a lot of bugs and very limited customization. There’s no built-in microphone in the soundbar for calibration either, so it uses your phone mic, which doesn’t really help. Overall, it’s disappointing for the price, especially not being able to properly adjust the surround speakers.
