This has been a pretty amazing game for me because it reminds me of my childhood playing Mario kart. But, I will say that for those who are not familiar with Mario kart then it may get a little repetitive. It does have a few features added in that are new and different, but I like the repetitive racing better than some of the different challenges that they have available. I don't like that you have to complete some of those challenges in order to unlock certain characters, but it's all part of the game. Overall I give it 4 stars and my husband and I enjoy playing it.

Base on my experience first impression were very good as my experience were in the middle, I was blown away by the great graphics, the unique team mechanic gameplay, and the story while basic still is very fun to play. As I also appreciate This game is it's own thing, the controls did get hard to get use to at fiest, however overtime it gets better and better through the enjoyable experience. Overall this game past my expectations as I had so much fun with the game as a whole, for those who enjoy racing games this is your time and worth the price to play with friends.

Team Sonic Racing is one of those rare Mario Kart clones that is exiting enough in its own right to be fun, addictive and worth playing. The game consists of 15 racers, 21 tracks, an Adventure Mode and classic modes like Grand Prix, Time Trial and Exhibition. Some levels are returning from previous Sonic racers, but most are new and fresh. The main draw here is with its exclusive 3-person team system, which forces you to work together with AI teammates to share items, gain boosts and bounce off each other to gain the upper hand in a race. By performing enough of these coop moves, your team will eventually earn a significant speed boost, which could drastically change the outcome of a race if used at the right times. The main mode, ‘Adventure’, places you in a bit-sized map with a Mario-style level structure, where each stage represents a new race. Each level gives players the opportunity to earn up to 3 stars (bronze, silver and gold), which should give the game some replay value in the long run. Each track is designed with upmost care, boasting an enormous amount of color and vibrant texture work that gives you that feeling of quality, with tight controls and a good sense of speed. The game isn't without its fair share of problems, though. First of all, many stages are locked behind Adventure mode progress, so don't expect to fire up the game and choose whatever stage and character you want right away, because you can't. The next issue worth mentioning is in regards to the tone of the game. For years, Sonic games have been catering to little kids, and the series never matured enough to remove the utter cringe from its voice acting and soundtrack, and this game is no different. Luckily, most of the music is well orchestrated and catchy, but the voice acting and a couple songs that contain lyrics can be pretty awful, so expect to be tempted to skip the 'cut-scenes' that occur between Adventure levels and plug your ears when necessary. Overall, I would recommend Team Sonic Racing as a worthy Mario Kart alternative. The power-ups aren't too exciting and the voice acting is pretty bad, but the gameplay, level design and fun factor are all high enough quality to warrant a purchase.

Bought this to play on PS4 with my wife and we both love it. We played Mario Kart before so we really enjoy racing against each other and playing as a team. This game has all sonic characters and you can customize your cars. Courses are imaginative and fun. Very fun game with hours of fun. Would definitely recommend to play with family and friends.

This game is pretty fun but it has a few flaws. The game controls well and the team game play is well designed, but sometimes your teammates do so bad, you come down with them. The story is mode is fun and the missions are pretty nice. The dialogue and voice acting is alright. The music is very good, tackling multiple genres like rock and dub-step. The graphics are nice looking with some well made textures, and some good lighting. Overall, the game is worth the price and I would recommend it.

This is a fun Sonic game for all ages to play. My kids and I race it out for hours. The graphics are great and it’s not too hard to play once you get the hang of it. Recommend it.

I'd give this a 3 and a half star if it was an option. I'm a huge fan of Sega racing games, always have been, always will be. The Sonic Racing series that really took flight with Sonic and All-Star Racing Transformed is still one of the very best kart racing games I've ever played. I mean it when I say it can easily be seated against any Mario Kart game or even Crash Team Racing, it's that good. So my hopes were pretty high for this. Unfortunately they went with this gimmick of you having a trio of characters to racing around with, think Sonic Heroes in cars. It's weird to get used to at first since the place of each person on your team will tally your total score at the end of the race. Naturally you all work together but this would have been far better as a mode of play rather than the entire experience as a whole. I don't mind trying new things with any genre to mix it up and push the envelope but it took away from the basic aspects of what made the previous two entries so special. There was also a lack of other Sega properties since this was solely a Sonic racing game this time around which naturally bummed me out but what can you do? Hopefully down the road we get a sequel to Transformed.

I like sonic so i bought this game i had a gift card and coupon so i paid 22 dollers.its fun so far needs an update to fix online issues.
For those who want a cart racing game and don't own a Nintendo Switch, this game will satisfy you for a bit. It's a budget title, and it shows in some parts of the game. You only get access to 15 characters and 21 race tracks. That's enough to have fun with for a while, but after a few hours of playing, you might yearn for more. The graphics are colorful and nice, and the soundtrack stands out as being phenomenal. The actual gameplay is what you'd expect in a cart racing game. There are a few new tweaks and twists to the formula, but there's nothing revolutionary -- it's a racing game where you have access to random items strewn throughout the track to aid you or hurt your opponents. The team component means that your teammates' racing position matters, too, but as long as you win the race, that's usually enough. I haven't played online, but it's available, and local multiplayer is fun and frenetic.

I absolutely loved this product. It was very easy to use and play. Originally got it for my ((almost)) 5 year old and his aunt kinda took over lol and he loves it just as much. Super easy for him to follow and play. We both very much like this game. My only dislike was how hard it was to get ((buy)) this game SAME DAY lol. Otherwise, no complaints. All in all, 5/5.

Definitely a fun game to play The “story” is a good way to get to play all the levels and be able to change up who you play as, as the story progresses. Also allows you to unlock all the extra upgrade for the cars. The levels are also really fun and full of shortcuts. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun racing game maybe to play with friends at a party or anything like that.

I was a big fan of Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed on the Vita and now we have Team Sonic Racing as a spiritual successor. Overall I'm happy with this game, The graphics and sound is spot on and of good quality. The courses are varied with some re imagined ones from Sonic All-Stars Racing. The only thing about the game that kinda detracts from the enjoyment of playing it is the frequent cut-scenes where you'll see one of Sonics pals talking about something going on in this kart racing world. Overall its a fun and entertaining game for fans of Sega and Sonic!
