Tesla is an okay movie. I mean its done in Michael Almereyda's signature experimental style, and the acting from Hawke and Machlachlan is great, however I wasn't as into it as I was Almereyda's other biographical work: Experimenter. I just knew more about Stanley Milgram compared to Nikola Tesla. So long story short if you know more about the subject you will enjoy the film more than I did.

This was not the style of movie I was expecting, though to be fair we just picked it up in store without researching anything about it ahead of time. There was a narrator and several scenes looked like they were filmed in front of a backdrop, both gave me the feeling of watching a film clip in a museum. I think The Current War was more entertaining.

Difficult to follow story line. Very dark and slowly developing. Could have been more technical highlighting his technological excellence. Correct in portrayal of Edison as a very difficult man. Tesla was a antisocial genius ahead of his time.

Interesting to find about his life but the movie was not good at all they could’ve done without some parts shorten it up made a little bit more interesting

Very interesting adaptation of tesla biography, one of my favorite historical characters. Too much information compacted in a very short movie.

Fascinating era and character. I don't think it explores as much as it could about Telsa or the myths surrounding him but it stays fairly grounded (no pun intended) and is a nice pairing with The Current War. Also stars Bono's daughter Eve Hewson which is neat for this U2 fan. I don't think this portrayal surpasses Bowie's Tesla in The Prestige but it's still good as more of a realistic biopic.

Nikolai Tesla can't be copied, Edison couldn't,so no actor today could.

I don't know how much of this movie is true, but it wasn't all that bad.

Good movie. Story is a little slow but all in all it is still a pretty good film. Definitely worth a watch!

Ethan Hawke singing Everybody Wants To Rule The World as Tesla is like when Gale from Breaking Bad sings The Final Count Down but without being funny. David Bowie in the Prestige was a much better Tesla. They didn’t even touch on his love of pigeons and kind of hinted he invented the cellphone.

I found this movie to be very well done, with more information about the life of Nikola Tesla!

Having a technical degree with lots of electronics I always a great movie on the historical beginnings and it’s inventors!

I love history and Nikola Tesla was one of the greatest in the history of man kind.

Very little about Tesla and his life and when the actor portraying Tesla started singing the song everyone wants to rule the world I turned it off. Pure garbage don't bother, I've already sold it.
