Recorded in 1981 and released on (then) cassette-only tag ROIR on February 5, 1982, many fans refer to it as InchThe Yellow TapeInch because of it's yellow packaging. Though Bad Brains had recorded the 16 song Black Dots album in 1979 and the 5-song Omega Sessions EP in 1980, the ROIR cassette was the band's first of anything longer than a single. The includes the original liner notes by Ira Kaplan of Yo La Tengo. This reissue marks the second in the remaster campaign on the band's own Bad Brains Records imprint with Org Music. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains' recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering and pressed at Furnace Record Pressing. Album Tracks 1. Sailin' on 2. Don't Need It 3. Attitude 4. The Regulator 5. Banned in D.C 6. What is rock'n'roll? For some, it is raw energy and spontaneity. For others, a mood-enhancer. Rock'n'roll can mean loud shows, smoke and fire or S*x and drugs. For Dead Express it is all about sweat and suffering; a lifestyle that means believing in yourself. Dead Express' music has always been about spontaneity, but this time it has been strengthened by planning and dedication. The frustration from not getting the sound right on their previous album InchThe Noble Art of Self DestructionInch, released in 2018, has led to a determination to further raise the bar. This new album is more thoughtful and grown-up without losing the band's signature fun style. Album Tracks 1. Oh Yeah! Oh No! 2. Brain Damage 3. S.W.E.A.T 4. Rattlesnake Shake 5. Dynamite 6. Dead of Night 7. Bastard Son 8. Time to Live 9. Snowblind 10. Attitude
