A very well done story that Stars one of my favorite actors Harrison Ford. He does such a great job in this movie. This is a very entertaining movie to see for the whole family. A lot of people complained about the CGI especially done on the dogs, but I think they did a great job, such a great job that everything blended in very well with the story as it should. This movie has a great story, great actors and even great scenery to enjoy. Very well written with great acting by everyone in this movie and even great special effects.

The novel, CALL OF THE WILD, is pretty brutal. What this film did was tone it down and give it some humor. There still is some brutality and violence, but not more than you can see on network TV. The CGI dogs and other animals allow the film makers to show the emotions of the animals that could not be achieved with with real animals. That is why this version shows so much of the main dog (It's his his story, after all.) than other versions were able to do. So come along and see the world through the eyes of Buck.

My adult children are home as a result of Covid. I told them I got this movis in 4K and they were happy about it! Then I told them Harrison Ford was in it and the chips and salsa came out for an immediate watch. They were not disappointed. The entire movie, even the CGI was top notch with beautiful scenery and realistic dark side characters. Sorry! A must see even in Bluray. Once seeing these movies in 4K there is no going back. My Sony 4K player does a good job of up-converting but real 4K is still superior! Buy or rent this movie because it's a must see!

A beautiful interpretation of the life of Buck, the dog who is the star of this movie. The humans are more supporting cast, with amazingly life-like animation allowing Buck to express and experience in a way that you wouldn't otherwise be able to capture - and without harming any animals in the process. Harrison Ford is perfect in his role as Buck's friend. A worthy addition to your collection!

Call of the wild was assigned reading when I was in high school. It was an aclaimed work of both literary and historical importance..The movie was true to the written version and Mr. Ford and the entire cast did an outstanding job of bringing this timeless work of liferature to life on the Big Screen. I will watch it many times. Well worth the 4k price.

The wife and I saw this in theaters and loved it so much we had to own a copy. I wont get into the differences between the movie and the book because no matter what the movie was very entertaining and well done. Graphics and Sound are amazing in both the 4k display and the Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Totally worth it.

I bought it for the visuals and was surprised it pulled me in. Remakes are iffy sometimes, but I should have known Harrison Ford wouldn't make a crappy movie. It is geared more towards kids, but not totally. Obviously the dog is CGI, but as long as you know that going in, it's a great family movie otherwise.

My wife and I saw this movie at the theaters. We enjoyed the movie so we decided to purchase it in 4k when it became available. I was in Best buy checking out the movie selection when I came across The Call of the Wild in a 4k format. The price was reasonable and I decided to purchase.

I read the book many years ago as a child and it was one of my favorite stories growing up. I'd seen the previews of this movie and have enjoyed past movies with Harrison Ford so although my kids and I haven't watched it yet, we're looking forward to it.

I enjoyed the movie "The Call of the Wild." It was entertaining and informative of a different era. The characters were believable, and the training of the animals was outstanding. I was laughing out loud at some of the learning episodes of sledding skills. I will watch it again.

Me and my wife seen this movie in the theater and just loved it, me more than her. So, when I seen it was being released to blu ray and 4K I just had to get my hands on one. Now that I own my own copy and have had a chance to watch it again I’m just so amazed at how this movie moves me!

I saw this in the theaters, and knew we wanted it for our home theater collection. 4K discs give superior presentation compared to streaming! The CGI graphics were great - you ALMOST believed the dog was real, but not quite up to the CGI of the recent Lion King. Still a very fun movie and worth adding to my collection!

This is a great re-make and very well done. The 4K resolution just really brings the beauty out of the wilderness scenery. I would have given it 5 stars if the technology used on Buck was just a wee bit mature. Well worth the watch though and glad I have it for future showing to friends and relatives.

This is the worst adaption that I've ever seen. BUT I've read the book over 40 years ago and have seen every film ever done.I also remember when they used real animals and live action filming, this had very little, if any. That being said, for kids this would be very enjoyable, and the CGI was very well done. The eyes, facial expressions, etc were also well done. Adding everything up,and not getting long winded; I never wanted to shut it off, the sound and picture were good,it's suitable for a fairly young audience, but enjoyable for adults if they aren't Jack London diehards (the actual story is so much different, the basics are kinda there) I gave it 3 stars as it was enjoyable, it'll be good to keep kids occupied for an hour or so.

I respectful take on the "Jack London" classic novel. Seems a little out of sorts by choosing a non Husky lead dog for the story but that doesn't take away from the charm of the film. Harrison Ford gives a good sublimated acting turn to keep the focus on the lead character.

I actually enjoyed the character of the dog and the actor, Harrison Ford. It had a wonderful storyline which made me want to see the movie without any interruption. I could say it was a family film that everyone could watch together.

Harrison Ford may arrive in the story later than expected, and the dog is clearly not real (but close enough to real), but none of that really matters to the retelling of this great legend. A wonderful story, and a great film.
