    Massive open world

I waited on playing the crew for a while, after hearing not great things about the beta. But after getting my hands on it, I am definitely glad i picked it up. The controls do need some tweaking and still dont feel great until you start leveling up your car, but after that it handles just fine and is a blast to play. The world is absolutely massive, graphics are great, and CUSTOMIZATION. Racing games have been missing this for far too long now and i hope this game starts a return to customizable racers to allow me to make my car MY car. Really fun game.

Decent, but there are better driving games

At less than twenty dollars, this was worth it for a weekend of entertainment. The first night I started playing late and didn't stop until 4am, so clearly I was entertained by it at first. It only took a few more play sessions during the rest of the weekend to finish the main story. Unfortunately the worst thing about this driving game is the driving. It just doesn't feel right, the handling is poor and the cars feel like they have no weight to them. The customization is decent but the game limits you by not providing a whole lot of money to spend. Video games are supposed to be for fun; I already know how it feels to not be able to afford a Ferrari in real life. Couldn't afford to buy a Ferrari in this game either even after finishing all the main missions. The graphics are decent, the environments they designed are pretty incredible, but it's all for nothing because the driving itself just isn't that satisfying. There are also some INCREDIBLY frustrating missions, namely ones where you have to drive around and smash 80 out of 100 crates, or take down missions where you have to damage another vehicle enough to stop them. You will restart missions many times and get pretty annoyed. If you don't have all the other racing games, definitely get Need for Speed Rivals or Driveclub before you bother with this. If you're like me and have played most of the other racers and just had to see if this one was worth owning or not, you can give it a try, but you will not miss much if you don't get it. I will probably play it one or two more times and trade it back in.

    Fun at first

Its ok! Driving across the map can be fun. The story mode serves its purpose though there seem to be many complaints about it not being very good. AI rubber banding can be annoying, especially when your car is highly over spec'd for a mission. Game is best played with the controller. I tried using a wheel, but there is too much free play even with wheel settings maxed. I've not seen an update for the PS4 version since purchasing the game near its release date. I'm not a big multiplayer fan, but I've read the multiplayer aspect is shotty at best. Many complain about hit and miss server connections, but I've only experienced one event where I could not connect to play the game. Side missions are fun at first, but get boring after a while, especially when grinding to spec up your car. Played a lot at first, then put the game down after a few days and haven't played it since. I'm hoping the wheel I bought for this game and the PS4 will be better used when Project CARS gets released. On a positive note, the driving is fun, the graphics are nice and the gameplay is smooth. Not all cars can be spec'd, ie, race, dirt, raid, performance etc, which seems silly. Maybe Ubi will fix that in a future update, whenever that happens. I don't recommend paying full price for this game. Wait until you can get it on sale.

Good game but can get a bit annoying.

I purchased this game because a friend of mine recommended it and after doing some quick research on it, I said why not. After a couple of days it got a bit annoying that you have to purchase cars in this game that others offer for free. Also when it says NORMAL for mission diffulty it actually can mean hard... Anyhow, overall the game isn't that bad and if you get a decent deal it might be worth to buy. Glad I didn't paid full price for it when it came out.

    Not what I expected

I was expecting the game to be more like grand theft auto where the open world was more interactive. This was not the case. Yes you can drive from one side of the country to the other unlocking mini challenges along the way but the damage of the car and the buildings and obstacles are not realistic. It just seems very rigid. The racing is pretty fun in the beginning but it gets repetitive. The graphics and variety of cars was the best part to me. The details in the cars were spot on and it had all of the cars that I would want to have in a racing game. You start off with a choice of 4 really nice cars as well so you don't have to work your way up from an old beater. My other complaint would be that none of my codes for the preorder worked. It accepted them and said that they were used but I did not receive any of the vehicles or virtual currency. For those who enjoy the boxed in racing style of game, it will be enjoyable. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a fun interactive open world game though.
