Want to see more fighting action, maybe a flashback of Bale's character fighting more? Still a very good movie.

Being a true life story makes this movie so appealing to me. This is a compelling true life story of Dicky Eklund and his brother Micky Ward. Dealing with Dicky's lifelong drug addiction battles (documented in a 1990's HBO documentary) and his fall from fame, and Micky's family and career struggles, to become his own person and personal best. This movie will take you from the depths of sadness, to the joy of triumph in 115 minutes! You may want to watch the original HBO documentary as well "High on Crack street"! That is being renactedly filmed during this movie (it's still out there on media sites) Also watch the special features... it is very interesting to hear the backstage production information (especially about the actors). Finally... it is AMAZINGLY well acted by ALL. This movie should have been more well known!

This movie has an awful first half, lots of emotional lows, family problems, etc. The second half is so much happier. This movie is enjoyable for those who don't normally want to watch boxing. Also there are two academy award nominations for the two supporting actresses' acting in this film. Lots of memorable scenes in this film.

Christian Bale is amazing- this has got to be his best performance to date. The entire cast is wonderful, in fact, notably Melissa Leo (from NBC's "Homicide:Life on the Street") who, like Bale, gave an Oscar winning performance. Seldom do you see such a strong cast give such wonderful performances playing people so very, very human. Definitely one to watch.

I have to admit that I have warmed up a lot to Mark Wahlberg as an actor. I couldn't stand him as a rapper when I was younger, but he actually is a really good actor, and he's a great fit for the role he plays in this movie. It moves a little slow at times, but it was money and time well spent to purchase and watch this movie.

This is one of my all time favorite movies. I found it in the Best Buy $4.00 and under bin. Such a great movie, and priced at $3.99 I will never complain. I watched the movie with a few friends who never saw it before, and they loved it! Thanks Best Buy

David O Russell's name has become synonymous with outstanding work in the art of cinema. The Fighter could easily be pointed to as one of his finest works. Bale's performance earned him an Oscar, and rightfully so. Marky Mark is at his best and Amy Adams adds an interesting dynamic to this touching film.

Mark Walhberg excels in this fantastic movie. It really brings home the internal and external struggles of a fighter trying to make his way up through the ranks to being a champion. One of the best movies I have seen in a long time.

I am a fan of both Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. Both actors did not disappoint in this flick. Regardless if you like boxing, this movie was a good drama starring two great actors both overcoming obstacles.

Great movie. The acting is done well. The fact that it's based on a true story is great. Shows a real side to the movie. The actors did great in portraying the real people. It's a good boxing movie with some truth to it.

Whenever I go to Best Buy I always check out the sales they have on DVD's. There are always treasures to be found in the bin and I found this classic on my last visit.

The fact that this is based on a true story makes it more appealing, otherwise it is a slower moving version of the Rocky films--an underdog boxer working very hard to make a living as a boxer.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Acting by Christine Bale was incredible. The very end of the movie when the real characters are revealed is a really good moment.

The fact that it was based upon 2 brothers. Was inspiring. I hadn't heard about this movie before buying it. But it is one that I would watch over and over again.

Like how it depicted a family together even though there was drug abuse and both brothers getting to where they wanted to be in their lives despite the drugs
