A recently released prisoner reunites with his girlfriend, but they have to Getaway! It's Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw in a popping action thriller.

The Getaway is probably my favorite Steve McQueen film and is packed to the limit and beyond with plenty of action. Car chases, firefights and suspence. Ali MacGraw, in real life, was Steve McQueen's wife so it's neat to see them work side by side of each other during the movie. It's definatly worth any price on the shelves and I'm sure anyone would enjoy watching it. But, like all Sam Peckinpah films, there is alot of gory violence especially at the end scene when Steve get's a hold of that scattergun and .45 auto.

This is exactly what you would expect from a Steve McQueen movie. It is about a bank robbery gone wrong and follows McQueen and his wife through the many perils of their escape. It looks great, but the mono audio is pretty bad. If you are a McQueen fan, then you probably already own this.
