Great movies at a great price. There are just some movies that you will watch over and over again. These type of movies you need the DVD to put into your collection.

Arnold may be no spring chicken, but he can still take it and dish it out!

The movie itself is about average, but in general I would say below average for a Schwarzenegger movie (I never miss one of his). After scanning initial reviews, I was going to pass on the movie, but after seeing a trailer I got interested in that it was different than I had expected. After watching it, it was again different than I expected, better than I expected after my initial review point of view, but not quite up to the trailer expectation. There was enough there to be worth picking up the movie if you haven't seen it. The 1000+ horse power car gives it an interesting twist. It wasn't theater worthy, but OK for discount Blu-ray. The HD video and audio are above average. Plenty of extras, but didn't take the 90+ min to watch all. While I have recommended it, it may be worth just renting, unless you're an Arnie fan.

This movie is Arnold Schwarzenneger proving he can still get after it well past his prime. It starts off with him as a police officer in a quiet town. If there's anything we know about Arnold, it's that he doesn't do quiet. He wasn't even quiet in Kindergarten Cop. He then proceeds to kick butt at an appropriate pace. Thankfully there's real no love interest in the movie, so we don't have to watch him butcher that. If you're looking for that type of thing, Pride and Prejudice is down another aisle. If you want a ridiculous action movie to add to your collection, pick this up.

Arnold is getting older but no less entertaining at destroying the plans of crazy villains and taking care of the good guys. His character is an aging border sheriff whose calm country life goes to heck when a bad guy attempts to cross the border to escape prison. As usual, Arnie is underestimated and spends the next hour or so battling the bad guy and saving the day. Somewhat predictable but well worth the watch, especially if you are an Arnie fan. Of course, the extra features always make owning the DVD an excellent choice.

If you like action with a lot of gun fire, then this is your film. Arnold brings in action while Johnny Knoxville brings the humor. The story fulfills all the requirements for an action film: a bad guy that needs to be stopped, a hero to stop said bad guy, sidekicks to pick up the stray bad guys and most importantly things blow up. If that is your type of movie this is a good one.

Every scene is contrived; a character races across the desert at triple-digit speeds, in a 1000+ horsepower Corvette, without ever needing to stop to refuel. Characters in moving vehicles win a shootout against a barricaded opponent who knows they will be facing trouble. A character standing in the open defeats a squad of FBI HRT operators. A helicopter loses track of a car traveling on the only road for hundreds of miles. The antagonist drives in reverse at, what appears to be, double digit speeds, etc. This movie is one giant facepalm

I should point out I've had a bit of a difficult time finding this movie on disc, so I was rather surprised to find it in my local store's bargain bin. that said..onto the review proper: some towns have a reputation for being quiet and sleepy, and some hide fierce defenders of the law. in this movie, Arnold and co hold the line against a real 'nice' guy seeking to elude the long arm of the law and escape into mexico. starts slow, ends with a BIG finish. the law's reach is LONG indeed. well worth the purchase.

This is pure guilty-pleasure cinema. You know you can't defend seeing lots of nameless guys in black suits and machine guns mowing down people and that there's only a bullet here or there that might get one of our good guys (and I mean, y'know, Luis Guzman, who is always fun to watch in that very familiar character-actor way by the way, same for Harry Dean Stanton's walk-on), and it hearkens back to that time in the 1980's and 90's when Arnold Schwarzenegger dominated cineplexes with this kind of action trash. But over time, as super glossy and hyper-kinetic and chaotically-shot cinema floods theaters, this almost comes as something of a refreshment. How do I simply say "I got thrilled by the action, laughed at the craziness in the set-pieces, and loved seeing Arnold tear it up and have one-line retorts: "How do you feel?" asks a towns-person - "OLD!")

From Korean director Kim Jee-Woon, the director of one of my all time favorite action films, "The Good, The Bad, and The Weird." Once the movie gets rolling it's pretty non-stop with pretty outrageous action and just enough blood. Arnold makes a comeback and even pokes fun at his age a few times. May be Johnny Knoxville's best role to date.

Honestly wasn't expecting much when I first watched this movie. Absolutely enjoyed it. Fun to watch and nice pace to the movie. Originally rented the movie, but purchased the blu ray so that I could add it to my collection. Recommend it to those enjoy fun movies and don't take themselves to seriously.

Overall a great action movie that action fans as well as schwarzenegger fans will like. Those of you expecting to see academy award winning performances or great story telling should probably avoid this. This is a straight up action movie filled with unapologetic violence, the way it should be.

Big town cop finds solace as a small town sheriff. ...until a drug lords son decides to escape FBI custody and awaken the sheriff's inner peace. Fast cars, Feds trying to play catch up, and everybody getting involved in the action. This movie offers jut enough to be fun for everyone.

If your over 40, you should be familiar Schwarzenegger. Either you like his movies, or you don't. If you were never a fan, this one isn't going to change your mind. However, if you were/are a fan, then you will certainly find some humor in this one.

I am surprised that this movie didn't do better at the box office, but I think it was up against stiff competition at the time. I think it was a really good movie and is worth a second look. Arnold's humor is always entertaining.
