Great Rob Zombie flick!Just whenever you thought Rob Zombie was out of stance and actions he comes up with a new twist appliance storyline come up with lords of Salem!

This is Rob Zombie's best, most mature work yet. It's a slow burn that focuses on the characters for a change over excessive gore and profanity. (Although the end features a short barrage of craziness.) It feels like Zombie was watching The Shining a lot while making this movie, in a good way. It's not for everyone, of course, but for fans of Rob Zombie's work who appreciate slow burn horror, this one's for you. And, the steelbook is awesome.

story is basically about immolated witches using what looked like a 78 rpm record in the present time to crack the doorway open for their return via the descendants of their executors. the vehicle for their musical transmission is local salem deejay Heidi hawthorne, played by sheri moon zombie, who really does a nice job, i thought. not perfect, but alternately energetic and morose, and always working hard.

I rented this when it first came out and honestly wasn't very impressed with it. I had a gift card and needed a last minute horror movie to bring on a date, so I grabbed this one. The second time around, I found myself more engaged. It is a slow moving film, visually it's gorgeous, it doesn't tie in very cleanly- but I do think if you enjoy horror films form the 70's, you may get a kick out of this one.

"Lords of Salem" is a very good movie made by Rob Zombie. Knowing you created it should tell you that it will be creepy and willing to go the extra mile, like in other films he has created. Yes, there is some graphic content, but near the end of the film, there's some graphic stuff I hadn't anticipated. The story is very creative and a great watch for many horror fans!

If you like Rob Zombie style movies, you won't be disappointed.

Rob Zombie managed to pay homage to some of the great Italian horror masters like Fulci and Bava with Lords of Salem. The film had an overall feel of a 1970s film while still taking place in the modern era. The cinematography and eerie atmosphere were some of the movie's strongest selling points for me.

it your basic rob zombie, great cast real type senerios that are lost in most movies these days! it kept me glued from start to finish!! cant remember seeiing a witchcraft movie that stayed true to past legends like this movie! a must see for any horror buff!! zombie is a genius!!!

The steelbook packaging quality is awesome. The picture quality is great. Sound quality is great. It's not Rob Zombie's best movie, but the imagery and atmosphere are creepy nonetheless. I would definitely recommend this movie to any horror fan.

What could be better than being freaked out by the Witches of Salem. As the movie starts out setting the pace for the viewer to be freaked out by the curse of the Lords of Salem. From the first moment you hear the sounds of the Lords, shivers go down your spine. But as the movie plays on it begins to lose its appeal halfway through. The film was enjoyable in certain parts, but at times the things seemed out of place or cheesy. This is a different type of film compared to House of 10,000 corps and definitely not the quality either.

This movie is pretty demonic and has a lot of followership in it. I thought it was going to be more like a violent slasher movie but, it's not. It's more focused on dark and evil kind of stuff. There are some scenes in the movie that were clearly stolen from ideas done in The Shining and Rosemary's Baby. You will notice the hallway scenes are some of the same aspects used in The Shining. The focus on the plot is basically kinda like Rosemary's Baby and some scenes reflect it. I expected the movie to be more original.

Finally a demonic baby movie with an actual demon baby! With history of the salem witch trials and great horror sequences you cant go wrong with this film!!..if this is your sort of film that is!

If you have ever seen other Rob Zombie movies and like them, this will be good. It's his latest movie so it's a bit more refined than say House of 1000 Corpses. Overall I enjoyed it, but I also enjoyed his other movies.

I wont say the movie is good but the story is weird as heck and thats what gives this movie such a high rating. rob zombie always makes movies that arent meant to be scary but question what you just witnessed

If you're in it for the scare, don't bother. If you like all of the other Rob Zombie movies and want to see more of the same... also don't bother. This is not Halloween or House of a Thousand Corpses. I rather liked it, though. It was kinky and crazy, but not very scary. Sadly, it's the weakest I've ever seen Sherry Moon Zombie, but overall the movie was a good watch. Nice visuals. Something a little different.

Purchased this to fill out my horror movie collection. Recommended of you are a horror movie and/or Rob Zombie fan.

I'm a fan of Rob Zombie's horror movies. He seems to be the type of director that you love or hate his work. This was not Devil's Rejects but that is a good movie that I'll watch again.

This was an odd one. This is by far Zombie’s best film so far. Harkening back to the weird witchcraft films of the 70’s, this is a modern classic.

As a fan of Rob Zombie I had high hopes for this movie. the film was more cerebral then some of this other films and was more experimental. Overall very good.
