The Mary Wallopers - Paddywhackery - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Doesn't it seem like everyones freaking out lately? !!! know the feeling well. The NYC dance-punk lifers have been chronicling the perpetual meltdown that is American society for nearly 20 years now, from the clattering full-band thrust of their instantly iconic 2003 single Me and Giuliani Down by the Schoolyard (A True Story) to the dark disco of 2017s wonderfully eclectic Shake the Shudder. Their eighth full-length, Wallop, follows in the bands grand tradition of plugging straight into our collective nervous system and sending funky, rubbery shock waves through the body politic. If you've found yourself rubbing your temples while contemplating the collapse of everything around us? Well, !!! are bringing the soundtrack to your next nervous breakdown. Album Tracks 1. After an unprecedented seven year break, Clinic - Liverpool's cherished post-punk pop experimentalists - return with album number eight. The unusual name is taken from the long-forgotten 1970s ITV variety show The Wheeltappers and Shunters Social Club, compered by Bernard Manning, which recreated the smoky, boozy atmosphere of Northern working men's clubs for a sofa-bound audience. This album is neither a celebration nor a denigration of the culture of the era in which Adrian Blackburn and his collaborator-in-chief, Jonathan Hartley, grew up. Album Tracks 1. Some people think this record is unlistenable, while others consider this one of the key documents of the American music underground - Byron Coley The year 1967 proved to be a strong point of the '60s generation culture and the ever growing New York underground music scene.Steve Weber and Peter Stampfel provided a blithe sendup of musical Americana as they mined this tradition, while introducing outrageous and zany virtuoso turns on acoustic guitar, banjo and violin. Their lyrics and vocals are uniquely their own. Their personalities were profoundly incompatible, like those of Gilbert and Sullivan.1. Jimmy & Crash Survey The Universe 00 50 2.
