Solid game from obsidian. Great player choice and engagement from teammates on the ship.

Really enjoyed this one,retains the elements that made the first game fun while adding a little bit more to the game,better crafting,solid story,and a fun ensemble of characters as well as fun combat.

Overall a good solid RPG. Occasionally lacking in a few spots and a bit of polish, but overall would still recommend for people who enjoy single player RPG experiences.

Strong plot, good writing and humor. Companions were pretty great, too. The game does play it a bit safe. It doesn't do anything -- narrative-wise or gameplay-wise -- to differentiate itself from the original. The Outer Worlds 2 contents itself with poking fun at capitalism and academia without taking a meaningful stance on anything. (Although I suppose it's hard for western RPGs to have clear themes since they need to account for player choice). Still fun and better than anything Bethesda has made in the last couple decades.

I love this game. Upon first creating my character I had quite a few reservations, but I soon discovered is more focused as well as punishing if done wrong. Your choices are set in stone, and remembered by the NPC that you either helped or wronged. Instead of being a jack of all trades players really need to have their builds planned out and focused on a few skills to really get the most out of the game. Don’t go into the game thinking everything will get accomplished in one play through because it will not, and if you are okay with that realization you will have a wonderful time.
