Great gameplay and features. Always the best baseball game on any game system.

Well in contrast to the other 2 reviews, I’m going to try to be more in depth on the review. Right off the bat, the graphics are really good. That part lives up to the expectations. The diamond dynasty mode is what I was looking forward to the most. It’s pretty solid, but I think the nhl marketplace is better than this. Now the mechanics in the game is horrible. If you send a runner and decide to cancel and go back, you’re pretty much out. Doesn’t matter how quick they are, players are like semi trucks. It takes about 2 seconds to step then another 2 seconds to run back. Even if they’re just two steps off the base, you’re probably out. I’ve also had several occasions where I hit a line drive and the player doesn’t even go half way. Then gets thrown out at the base. Maybe my fault for having assisted base running on, but it shouldn’t be that bad. I also don’t think you can send runners half way on your own, so kind of need that one. The defense is also a mess. Many hits get hit towards the pitcher and should be a routine play. But the game decides to have me control the first baseman so I’m running away from the ball cause the pitcher should be going for it. And eventually you can change which position you’re controlling, but the damage is already done since no one will be covering the base. This is the first mlb the show I played since I never owned a PlayStation. So I’m not sure if conquest mode is new, but it is tedious and not fun at all. But if you’re going to play diamond dynasty you kind of have to play it for the extra cards and a rookie pujols card. If you’ve never played it, it’s pretty much like the board game risk. In order to take other teams strongholds you must beat them in a 3 inning game. Doesn’t sound horrible til you have 20 teams on the board and if they have 10+ Fans in the stronghold it takes longer. Then you have to steal fans for challenges, which again you have to play and win a 3 inning game. Last thing is all the moments you can complete to unlock solid cards. Again tedious and adds no fun to the game. But if you want your team to keep up with others you have to do it or you’re not getting solid cards to make your team better. Had I known this game was going to be on Xbox game pass I wouldn’t have bought it. It’s by far the best baseball game Xbox has had in probably close to 10 years. But that doesn’t make it a 5 star game. This bar was set way too high all the years it was a PlayStation exclusive. It’s a decent game at best, and if you have game pass, just download it free. It’s been a long time since I played a baseball game, so I couldn’t pass this up. But I will not make the same mistake next year.

My grandson picked this game for my son’s birthday. It was the hit of the weekend. My grandson and son enjoyed it Friday and Saturday. My sons friends came Saturday and they enjoyed it Saturday and Sunday. No exaggeration they played the whole weekend. So glad we got it.

My console use is primarily for sports games which are not available on my PC. I've been playing baseball games for many years across different platforms and for me, MLB The Show is the best I've ever played! The total enjoyment is well worth the price paid.

Finally on Xbox! I was buying playstations just to play MLB the Show. Not anymore! I'm not a fanboy of either but I have always had an Xbox so this game is a welcome change for me! Great graphics and game play for the casual gamer such as myself.

I have not played a baseball video game in almost a decade and I cannot get enough of this game. This might be the best sports simulation of any game this year! It is everything I have wanted in a sports sim and then some. This game is AMAZING!

Quality MLB release on Xbox. The graphics are amazing displaying Series X's power. The packaging is well put together with the Steelcase included.

For $20 this is a steal for a steel(book). Pretty cool to see a Sony published game on a Microsoft console.

My son loves this game! He is 12 years old but has played some of the others in the series and said this is the best so far!
