Great game, there are some bugs though. I haven't gotten around to beating the game, but now that it's close to Halloween I plan on picking back up. It's an open world game, and the world has a lot of dark atmosphere. Solving Mysteries in this Lovecraftian world is where this game shines. The combat is so-so but doesn't come up too often. Also, one important note is this game DOES NOT hold your hand.. so it's up to you to navigate places and listen to clues to know where to go and how to solve.

The Sinking City is better than the recent Call of Cthulhu. While that game was enjoyable, its level design could be suffocating apart from a few levels. The Sinking City, however, is an immersive open world that doesn't lead you from point A to point B. You will need to read the quests & then use the map to find location. Th environments are incredibly immersive, the characters are well-voiced, the detective work enjoyable, and the combat serviceable. The Sinking City feels like the Call of Cthulhu game the people behind Bioshock would make. If you enjoy unique games that drown you in atmosphere, this game won't disappoint.

This is truly a great game to play, even though the control is a bit slow, the core concept of the game such as the storyline and the amount of content you can do in the world is amazing, It is a beautiful well made open world mystery game.

If you're reading this, I'm guessing you know it's a Lovecraftian horror mystery, but if you didn't...now you do. It's much like LA Noire or Sherlock Holmes but with less annoying protagonists and an amazing background/world go explore. As of the first patch...it's jankey, buggy, runs like Windows 95...but it's so charming it's easy to overlook it's flaws to find a truly unique little future cult classic in the making!

Game story to good, but mechanics and long load times diminish the experience. Graphic quality os decent, but not amazing.

I'm a very old school gamer who grew up on Atari 2600 and NES so I am not as concerned with graphics as I am with story and gameplay. The story is interesting, and the gameplay itself is a bit clunky but ok. The only part I don't enjoy is the time, effort, and complexity of having to solve the puzzles. Sometimes I just want to explore and leave the detective work to Batman. So far I'm enjoying it overall, definitely out there though.

Good defective game with very gothic atmosphere but the loading is a bit long with other glitches. Worth trying out if you're a lovecraftian fan

Cool graphics on the Xbox one X. Good story and atmosphere. Gun play could of been smoother but still playable. Good game

Very enjoyable, mystery exploration game. Combat is not very deep, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it.

It;s not a AAA game but to be honest these games always offer something more interesting because they don't have sales quotas to meet. It's a weird lovecraft based world with third person combat. The kind of game that screams love it or hate it.

Sinking City is a well designed game with a good plot, however the play length is short and it lacks a more engaging experience with the action.

Overall pretty fun despite some not great shooting and some repetitive environments. However what really shines is the detective mechanics along with and the setting\atnosphere.

So far the game is very interesting, but so far it is clunky. There are annoying glitches that I have ran into. On of them being that my character would suddenly freeze or get trapped in between two invisible objects. The game doesn’t run as well as I thought it would on the Xbox one X.

This was a nice horror/detective kind of game but a lot of the bugs hinder it from being truly enjoyable.
