About this product
At the time of it's , this LP made very little noise outside the group's home state of Washington - but within said home state, The Sonics themselves were making enough noise to blow down every brick wall between Tacoma and Torrance, California. Seldom has a group ever been better named. The youthful aggression in their music, coupled with singer Gerry Roslie's '80 razorblades-a-day' vocal attack and a selection of overwhelmingly brilliant riffs that underpinned some of the most wildly recorded music ever to be committed to tape, should have made The Sonics one of the biggest groups the world has ever known or heard. Instead they went on to become celebrated by generation after generation of collectors, and other young people with an urge to rock 'n' roll. The overwhelming importance of tracks like 'The Witch', 'Psycho' and 'Boss Hoss' has provided a template for countless groups who've come up in their wake, and who have achieved a level of commercial success that they could never have achieved without the inspiration (direct or spiritual) of The Sonics - fellow Pacific North-Westerners Kurt Cobain's Nirvana and their successor the Foo Fighters being, perhaps, the most obvious examples. This facsimile comes on 180g black vinyl. We have put all the modern legal stuff including barcode, addresses and the like on a sticker, so your thick card LP sleeve will look as original as possible. Album Tracks 1. The Witch 2. Do You Love Me 3. Roll Over Beethoven 4. Boss Hoss 5. Dirty Robber 6. Have Love Will Travel 7. Psycho 8. Money 9. Walkin' the Dog 10. Night Time Is the Right Time 11. Strychnine 12. Good Golly Miss Molly

The Sonics finally ended their four-decade hiatus in November 2007, with a pair of rapturously received shows in New York. Although the band had intended those shows to be a one-time-only event, word of the performances quickly circulated amongst Sonics fans, resulting in performance offers from around the world, and turning the temporary reunion into a permanent one. Since then, The Sonics have performed for rabid crowds across the United States as well as England, Spain, Belgium, Sweden and Norway. Having reconquered the live stage and built a new, multi-generational fan base, the reactivated Sonics have set their sights back on the recording medium, enlisting noted producer Jim Diamond (White Stripes, Dirtbombs) to record InchThis Is The SonicsInch -the Sonics' first album of new material in nearly half a century-at Diamond's Detroit studio Ghetto Recorders. The 12-song set finds The Sonics channeling their original savage, primal essence on such new originals as InchChaos,Inch InchSugaree,Inch InchBad BettyInch and InchI Got Your Number,Inch while continuing their tradition of audacious cover material with raucous reworkings of Ray Charles' InchI Don't Need No Doctor,Inch Bo Diddley's InchYou Can't Judge A Book by the Cover,Inch the Kinks' InchThe Hard Way,Inch Hank Ballard's InchLook At Little SisterInch and the rousing Motown nugget InchLeaving Here.Inch Album Tracks 1. Vinyl LP pressing. Omnidirectional by The Schramms is a beautiful piece of art that was ten years in the making. Front man guitarist/writer Dave Schramm is the singing auteur conjuring up a cinescopic work that will surely stand the test of time. The album, produced by JD Foster (Lucinda Williams, Richard Bruckner, Calexico), is a labor of love for all involved. Dave Schramm is perhaps best known as the former lead guitarist for Yo La Tengo but he has also worked with The Replacements, Peter Holsapple, Chris Stamey and Freedy Johnston. With Kate Jacobs he created the Radio Free Songclub and has toured extensively with Yo La Tengo and the Schramms who already have six albums to their name. Omnidirectional is the icing on the canon. Album Tracks 1. Honestly Now 2. Spent 3. In Error 4. Faith Is a Dusty Word 5. Good Youth 6. Not Calling 1. Hearts and Diamonds 2. New England 3. Still Standing Still 4. Won't Fall Down 5. The Day When 6. Two A.M. Slant

We follow up January's of InchHere Are The Sonics!Inch with a 180g black vinyl replica of InchBoomInch - the Sonics' second album, originally released in 1966 on Etiquette Records in wonderful mono. InchBoomInch still does much more than merely deliver on the promise of the first album, InchHere Are The Sonics!Inch. Few records have ever packed as much of a musical punch from start to finish. Even more so than their first LP, it offers a representation of what the Sonics must have sounded like at the peak of their considerable powers. Recorded in the most glorious no-fi you could ever wish for and with anthemic originals like 'Cinderella' and 'He's Waiting' vying for your attention with what is possibly the most violent version of 'Louie Louie' that there will ever be, InchBoomInch is an album that has always justified the esteem in which it is held by collectors around the globe. All the modern bumph like barcodes and whatnot is on a disposable sticker, leaving your copy of InchBoomInch as original as possible. Album Tracks 1. Cinderella 2. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark 3. Skinny Minnie 4. Let the Good Times Roll 5. Don't You Just Know It 6. Jenny Jenny 7. He's Waitin' 8. Louie Louie 9. Since I Fell for You 10. Hitch Hike 11. It's Alright 12. Shot Down
