If your a musical lover like myself, then make sure you add this to your movie collection. It's a great classic, with awesome musical numbers, and beautiful visuals. Loved the movie but didn't own, so finally bought myself a copy with my $5 reward certificate. Not only is it a Blu ray, but it also has a digital copy, which you can put on your phone or iPad and watch on the go. Great addition. You won't want to miss this one.

Glad to get this by mail order. Stores only had blue ray versions. Bought as gift for my mom who still knows all the lyrics & sings them. We went on the Sound of Music tour in Austria a couple of years ago. Only wish there was also a CD as she needs someone to show her how to change her TV input mode & start the DVD.

My Wife and I had seen it as children, but never like this, and not together.. Restored and in Blu-ray and Digital formats, its almost like watching it on the big screen again, and did I mention the Dolby 5.1 sound soundtrack... its actually probably better than its original debut... :) and way better than we remember seeing it on TV...

I watched it as a kid and was mesmerized by the sights and songs of this joyous musical. Julie Andrews and rest of the cast were unforgettable, especially her singing. 50 years later , I still enjoy watching this and now with bonus features that really give insights of the making of it. The sing a long format is fun to do. I never get tired of watching this movie which is weird but I don’t know why, maybe it’s just so enjoyable and “Something Good!”.

A classic movie that stood be viewed by everybody. Wild the colors and quality may not had a rich texture that modern films have the colors are vibrant and the sound is excellent. The cinematography is quite amazing and outshines many modern films.
