Obviously the transition from written word to live action can be a tricky thing, but I think Twilight: Eclipse did a decent job. The director followed closely with the books plot line but added some very nice scene, generating emotion in areas that might have been lacking if they were literally translated from Stephanie Myers words. There is a decent amount of Special Features on this DVD (unlike the New Moon release) and the Commentary between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart was out right hilarious to listen to. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase, but then again I do have two X chromosomes so I think that makes be bias. ^_^

I have to say I normally don't review movies. I usually try to stick with books (haha hence my name) I also tend not to see movies that were based on books, they are never right ie: Eragon, Blood and Chocolate and yes even the Harry Potters movies were missing tons of sides stories that were in the books. I saw Twilight the day it came out and was both relieved that it was so close to the book, and frustrated because like the book it lacked action. Only the last five minutes had any fighting. The same was true in New Moon, while it followed the book closely it was only the last 10 minutes where Edward fought with the Volturi that were action packed. I have to say I really liked Eclipse. I found that with all of Stepenie Meyer's books (especially Breaking Dawn) there was a huge build up towards the battle scenes, then it just fell apart. Yes it's for a younger age group, but sometimes a little more fighting and action is good. Eclipse delivered good action through out the movie, especially the 'big battle' I found myself wishing that the screen writers would have put this much effort into the first two with the action. David Slade, the director, also did Hard Candy (amazing movie) and 30 Days of Night. I think it was brilliant to bring him in on the project and hope he stays for Breaking Dawn. I also am glad to say that Kristen Stewert has better facial expressions in this movie. She doesn't look like her face is frozen in only two expressions. Edward also delivers more side comments with good comedic timing. Jacob is hurt in this movie, but the interaction between all three is much less forced and more natural than the first two movies. It is without a doubt the best of the bunch. I won't bog down this review with the plot, because obviously 99% of the people going to Eclipse have read the book at least twice. I can say though that unlike the other two movies, I actually found myself wondering what happens next, and looking forward to how Bella and Edward (and yes Jacob) would react. I'd say if you've been on the fence about the other two movies go see this one, if you hated the first two movies, this one is infinitely better and if you loved the first two movies, I can only say you will love this one even more.

I loved the Twilight saga . Eclipse was a great way to branch off. The fact that the natives were part of a legendary tribe was excellent. Gives more depth and details. This was a extraordinary movie and visually fascinating. I now have the complete series and go back to watch all of them. Never gets old. A movie for everyone and all ages.

Love the Twilight movies - I didn't read the books and don't have a "team Edward" shirt or anything, but I must say that I love these movies. The acting pretty much sucks in all of them except Breaking Dawn 2 (last one). The storyline sucked me in from the beginning, had to see them all

The third installment is well done and interesting. A little more teenage angst is added with Bella having to choose between Edward and Jacob. The battle scenes are very well done. It's a well shot and creative series of movies.

Eclipse is the first sequel to Twilight and picture #2 out of a total of 5 films. I had recently bought Twilight for my girlfriend and watched it. I was surprised as I thought it would have been much more corny but it was pretty seriously made. I actually saw these remaining four films for a great bargain price and decided to get them for her for Christmas. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to watch the remaining 4 films in the series so I will say I am sure this sequel is average..if you like Twilight movies, this one is for you, for certain...

Well there isn't much to say about the movie itself. This Blu-Ray copy has all the standard features as any other Blu-Ray. A must if you like the Twilight films.

My wife loved Twilight, she didn't want just one video purchased at a time but the whole series at once. The only place I found it at was Best Buy and was very reasonably priced.
