Customer Ratings & Reviews

The Wiz is one of the best musicals and adaptation of the Wizard of Oz. Diana Ross, and Michael Jackson are among the many performers. One of my favorite quotes "what would you like on your hot dog!" Very funny!

The wife is loving this. She sings all tje songs all the time.

Love The Wiz, the music selection, the acting is so good. One of the best classics out

This is one of my all time favorite musicals from my childhood and is still great over time.

A soulful adaptation of the Wizard of Oz movie. Starring Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, and Richard Pryor. Michael Jackson shines and steals the show with his vocal and dance performances. Songs in the movie were arranged and produced by the legendary Quincy Jones. This movie is a classic Motown meets the yellow brick road. You'll be dancing from start to finish.

Move the Wizard of Oz to New York City and season with the African-American experience. At 2 hours and 15 minutes the story drags at points, but the music and choreography more than makes up. The cast was chosen accordingly. Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Nipsy Russell, and Ted Ross play the principals. The movie also illustrates an old show business saying I remember as, “heroes get the best parts, but villains get the best production numbers.” “Don’t Nobody Bring Me No Bad News” (sung by Mabel King) cooks and would be fun to play as a musician. The choreography’s energy and demand compliments the music. (That is true for many other pieces, too.)

I love this movie, It has a great all star cast, and sing along music. In high school my drama class performed this as a play and I played the part of Evilene, "The Wicked Witch of the West". I loved it. This great movie brings back memories. I love it and you will too.

I LOVE THIS!!! I SAW THIS MOVIE WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT, I WAS 12 YEARS OLD. I LOVE IT AS MUCH TODAY AS I DID THEN AS I HAVE WATCHED IT OVER AND OVER!

One of my favorite childhood movies. Great music and fun all around movie for the family.

I just saw the live Wiz on TV. I had to see the original Wiz with Micheal jackson and Diana Ross. The original one is still the best....

A great old school movie. For the ages it brought me back to my childhood

Reminds me of the original movie, and the acting is so original.

Good sound and picture quality. Enjoyable to watch

I love everything Wizard of Oz. I enjoy this interpretation with its great music and wonderful cast. My disappointment is that the Blu-ray does not have a digital version with it.

Watching this movie brings back such memories. I love it!

Great educational tool for the youth. And young black family's.

My girlfriend loves this movie and wanted me to watch it with her and I enjoyed watching it.

Great movie! I ordered the movie with express delivery and it came very quickly.

The Wiz is a great take on the Wizard of Oz story, this time a movie musical with an all black cast. Diana Ross and Michael Jackson headline the movie which also stars Richard Pryor and Lena Horne. Producer and Composer Quincy Jones helps bring the movie to life with such hits as Ease On Down The Road and Is This What Feeling Gets? I love this movie.
