I just loved this cooktop. It worked well until one day the front right burner and star cap melted. I decided to go with another brand. We will keep our fingers crossed that it does not happen again. Best Buy handled my exchange like a CHAMP. This is the reason I purchase EVERYTHING from them.

Black coating (paint?) is rubbing off grates after only a couple of months of mild usage. Thermador doesn’t warranty. They say cosmetic. These grates don’t appear to be cast iron like they used to be, so you can’t reseason.

After using the Thermador SGSXP365TS cooktop for about a week, I am very pleased with the overall performance and quality. The cooktop delivers on its promise, with heat control being especially impressive—whether you’re searing, simmering, or boiling, it offers a consistent and responsive experience. One thing I wasn’t expecting was the grates. They're not made of cast iron, which was a bit surprising given the price, but I actually don’t mind this. The grates are lighter and easier to handle, making them more practical to clean and manage. The design of the burners is great, and I particularly love the XLO burners and the simmer feature. It’s a thoughtful touch, and I’m excited to try it out for more delicate dishes, like making pasta sauce from scratch. The pedestal burners are another feature worth highlighting. They make cleanup a breeze since they’re easy to wipe down, and the stove's rounded contours—rather than square edges—help with spills, making them less of a hassle to clean. Overall, the Thermador SGSXP365TS cooktop is a solid choice for anyone looking for a high-quality, efficient, and easy-to-maintain cooking surface. Definitely worth the investment in my opinion!

We've had ours for about 6 months and it's been a huge improvement over our last stove. Heats quickly, sears steaks well, heat control is excellent. XLO works well although we don't use it very often. Very easy to clean. If you're on the fence about which model to get, definitely get the pedestal burners - the burners are easier to clean and the stove contours are rounded instead of squarish which makes spills easier to clean. XLO is nice but honestly we could live without it. Great if you do a lot of slow braises or sauces that require low temps, but not really necessary.

We love this cooktop and highly recommend it. If you check my review on the Thermador freezer, you will see that I do not recommend it. 5is cooktop is completely the opposite of the freezer. It is excellent. It has all controls front and center where they are easy to reach and very functional. Burners are well laid out for high btu units and well spaced for larger pots. We paired this cooktop with a Thermador hood which will be reviewed under the hood. We like the function and look of these two units paired together. However, the hood controls are extremely difficult to see as they aren’t backlit or otherwise easy to see. You almost have to get a light out to turn on the hood light.

This is an exact replacement for a 10 year old one that was dying. The Thermador microwave only lasted 5 years. But we are sticking with Thermador. This unit went in fairly easily. It was owner installed. Nervous about working with gas but with only one new part needed no leaks on the first try. Don’t know why but the male gas port on the cooktop was a different size than the Thermador it replaced. Worked correctly right out of the box. Very simple installation. One person installed it

The special features are wonderful - fast boil, multiple simmer levels to keep just the right temp, so easy to clean under the star pedestals, and it looks great - modern clean lines!

I purchased this new Thermador cooktop burner to replace my prior 23 year old Thermador cooktop. It is outstanding and is also very attractive .

I have waited for a long time to purchase a cooktop of high quality and this Thermador does not disappoint! I simply love it and my wife enjoys it! From the indicating lights to extra low select functionality, this is a chef's dream cooktop! Quality build and easy to install! Worth every penny! Very easy to clean as well!

The Thermador cooktop is well-made and elegant in appearance. The burner control is precise, and the extra-low settings are convenient for certain food preparation. The stainless steel surface is easy to clean, and the burner design facilitates easy cleaning.

Cooktop was installed last month and we have been very happy with it. We haven't tried the ultra low heat function, yet, as the range from High to Low on all burners have been great. I do a lot of Asian stir fries, and they have come out wonderful including fried rice. The rice didn't get burnt and didn't come out mushy even with adding frozen vegetables! It's pretty easy to clean once cooled off a bit. The only thing is the grills are a bit heavy but fortunately it hasn't been often that I forget I'm making soup or boiling milk. And I have once over boiled grits and still wiped off completely using a kitchen towel and a little elbow grease!

The Star Burners provide even cooking. The low simmer settings and lighted knobs are a plus. Did not want stainless steel however not much available otherwise. Time will tell if cleaning will become an issue

Love that this has a glass cover over knobs to make cleanup easier. It also has the burners up higher so that if anything spills it won’t bake in and it is also easy to clean. Heavy grids and a few knobs have extra low features.

It is hard to tell if this is defective. The XLO burners make a clanking sound before the normal clicking sound when turning on a gas burner. They also make this clank as they cycle through on and off when using the XLO SETTING. I tried calling Thermadore and Best buy help lines but NO ONE could offer any help on this sound. After watching many videos about this cooktop, I found a chef giving a demonstration, and he said that this extra clank is not a defect but sounds like one. HOPEFULLY that is the case.
