Really happy i bought this. Works great, looks high end and feels solid. I bought the thermador trim kit which didn’t work for me because it required an opening way too big. It came with risers that were 3” inch which were too high for my opening. I ended up getting a custom trim kit from www.appliancetrimkits.com which was a perfect fit for this thermador microwave. It was solid metal and great craftsmanship. The microwave unlock button is a non issue as other reviewers have mentioned this. You can go into the settings and disable this. I can open the microwave by just pushing the button. It is recommended to press stop on any microwave to protect the microwave from the sudden high voltage to no voltage when opening the door.

I chose this brand new microwave that had no reviews because Thermador's other microwaves are so overengineered they are not user-friendly. This one is "normal." Like the other reviewer, I also don't like that you have to push the Stop/Unlock button before you can open the door--why add the extra step? I've been trying to figure out a way to inactivate it but may just have to live with it. Otherwise, the microwave works perfectly well. I tried the "Reheat" button for the first time and was very impressed that it knew how long to heat my food. Also, tried the "Beverage" button--heated my hot chocolate to the perfect temperature. I've never ventured into these options in the past on other microwaves so not able to compare.

This is the second Thermador microwave we have had. They are sturdy, reliable, and looks good. This model also fit in well to the built-in space that we had for the older model, which is amazing.

I don’t like having to unlock my microwave door every time I hear something up. It’s very annoying. If I had known this was a thing, I would not have purchased it.
