Q: Are these just radiator fans? Could I use them for case fans?
A: These work great for case fans. That is what I used them for.
Q: does this fan kit come with a controller hub?
A: Yes but there are a lot of reviews out there where customers received faulty hubs and had to request a replacement from ThermalTake in order to get their fans to work.
Q: Can you change the colors of the RGB on this?
A: Yes. Each fan has 9 LEDs on it that you can customize individually through their software. It doesn't however save the profile to the fan. So, you have to open the software every time you boot or it resets to rainbow RGB.
A: It came with the RGB controller that plugs into a USB header on the motherboard. The three fans then connect to the controller(which can do 5 at once). So, you don’t need the fan pins, one USB header is all you need.
A: My power supply came with a molex cable that connects to these fans. If yours didn't come with one, maybe try using a SATA to Molex adaptor.
Q: are the wires pretty long? so i can route to the other side of the case?
A: The wires are long and they provide an extension beyond the fixed length.
A: I purchased these fans and they can be used singly or however, you want to use them. We have two for backups in case we need them.
Q: Could I connect these up to an rgb header on my motherboard instead of using the usb controller?
A: If your mb supports this brand yes, but more than likely you will need to use the included controller box.
