Hollywood history at work.

very good Hollywood; but a mixed bag as far as history is concerned. Custer was as heroic as as he was made out in the movie. But, the Little Bighorn disaster was caused by bad intelligence from Washington down on the number hostiles the military would have to contend with and no plan on the part of the three commanders in the campaign, including Custer, to stay in communication with one another.
