Customer Ratings & Reviews

This was one of my favorite films to come out of last year. The characters are superbly developed and constantly leave you guessing as to their next moves. The story flows without ever reaching a lull in the tension or drama. Not for the faint of heart. Great cast!

this movie is very good and leaves you questioning certain things about it but they did a great job with it!

This one really moved me. The casting was perfect and was simply a great film with one amazing point.

I bought the DVD by mistake but looked just fine on the big screen. Excellent movie.

I wish i could give this movie 10 stars. Acting and story was so good!

Outstanding drama based in a true to life story from Texas...

The story comes to a conclusion without all the answers. True to life and not the typical ending

This comedy/drama stars Frances McDormand (in another Oscar-winning performance), Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, Peter Dinklage and a wonderful supporting cast. Sam Rockwell is particularly notable in his role as a deputy with anger issues. This movie is sure to please fans of the genre and McDormand, portraying a very strong woman whose daughter met her end in a violent manner. Unsolved, she puts up 3 billboards in an effort to bring resolution to the case. The small Missouri town becomes polarized in support of the Sheriff, played by Harrelson. Events unfold involving the townspeople and McDormand's character. A deliciously clever script provides great performances by all.

One of the better movies I've seen this year. It tells a good story.

A very different movie not for everyone but entertaining.

good movie that has funny moments and a good story

I saw "Three Billboards" in the theatre when it first came out and am glad I bought the DVD copy - since I had missed quite a few things (and forgotten others). There are a few bonus selections and deleted scenes which give additional info about the plot and character motivations. I am happy to have this movie in my home collection and would recommend it to you too. No technical flaws on the disk.

I was skeptical before seeing this film that it could possibly be humorous. But all in all, It's a great film.

McDormand, Harrelson and Rockwell deserve all of the accolades they received for their performances. All of their characters are captivating, in part because they are all so seriously flawed. The movie moves seamlessly between tragic drama and dark humor -- delightful!

I do not think this can be labeled a comedy (even dark). It's a drama about harsh subject matter whose characters were believably played & brilliant. If you want a movie that is thought provoking, this is it!

I pick up this movie along with a dozen others (on sale), during the black Friday sale. I love these deals. The movie had way too much profanity, and it didn't need it because the plot was good.

A powerful intimidating performance by Francis McDormand. Sam Rockwell is phenomenal as the deputy, and Woody Harrelson shows the soft side that a generation fell in love with. Great movie.

I wasn't sure what the story was going to be since I hadn't seen a trailer. It was a good drama that kept me interested for the entire movie.

the characters are like people in my family--love 'em, hate 'em, i know where they are coming from. and they do change if they learn something. We all can learn something--its called empathy.

What a monster of a movie. Francis McDormand does not disappoint. And Sam Rockwell is his usual incredible acting self. Loved it, loved it.
