Love this wheel! The Thrustmaster T598 is an excellent entry into direct drive sim racing without spending crazy money. The force feedback is smooth, strong, and very detailed — you can really feel the road, curbs, and grip changes while racing. Setup was easy and everything feels solid right out of the box. The included pedals are much better than expected, and I like that it works great on both PS5 and PC. It feels like a huge upgrade from belt-driven wheels and makes racing games much more immersive. For the price, this bundle is hard to beat. Highly recommend for anyone serious about sim racing!

Very pleased. Smooth, quick and has lots of power. Taller axial motor is noticeable if monitor/TV is too low, but manageable with some tweaks of your setup. The most noticeable thing coming from a Logitech G29 was there was no longer any dead spots of force feedback. If you have an older gear driven or belt driven force feedback wheel, you’ll probably know what I’m referring to. With direct drive, there is constant force always and immediately upon change of direction of wheel and ZERO dead spot. The two pedals seem to feel better than the ones that come with the g29, but there’s only gas and brake; no clutch included. I don’t use clutch, so that’s no issue right now. As far as the wheel itself, it does feel a little LESS nice than the G29. It’s kind of plastic-y feeling, but honestly that isn’t noticeable at all to me during actual driving. The paddles are WAY better than the G29. The “clunk” is pretty nice in comparison to the “click” of the switch on the G29. This is the best thing I’ve bought for this hobby so far. Since this is and AXIAL drive, there aren’t any “poles” to stop on like with regularly wound motors. This is supposed to result in very smooth feeling even at low speed. I haven’t used anything but my g29, but I can tell you that this thing is smooth all the time and it seems like you only feel what the game wants without the wheel inserting any of its own inputs.

The overall performance of the wheel is far beyond what i expected. The force feedback provides a realistic driving experience that makes you feel like you own the road! The quality of each part is unmatched. From the details on the wheel to the customization of the force feedback and more gives you your moneys worth. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about thrustmaster and their products! Great job making quality products for your customers, and thank you Best Buy for supplying us quality U.S. products! Additional notes the setup and installation is so simple took maybe 5 minutes from box to gaming! Super excited to be using this wheel and to get more thrustmaster products in the future!

I purchased this originally for my 9yo son who was into Gran Turismo, Forza, and a few other sim racing games. Originally i didnt plan on spending near this much at most I planned on something like $300, the Logitech G920 series. Then upon trying out a complete sim rig with the T598 on it i pretty much instantly changed my mind. First of all the feel and realism compared to something like the G920 series is night and day. The T598 being direct drive lets you feel every bump, turn, or motion the car makes. Its really immersive and i understood why he had been wanting one. We could never go back to a racibg type game with just a normal controller. Especially once i built the rig and monitor stand. The 800r curved oled LG screen probably helps a lot with that as well. If your thinking about getting into sim racing and are looking at the logitech skip it and spend a little more on the T598. Its leagues above the lower end even the mid tier stuff thats a bit pricier it holds its own. Excuse the mess on the sim rig pics we are in the process of moving but at least you can see the setup.

The Thrustmaster T598 is a massive game-changer for sim racing. Moving up to a Direct Drive system makes a world of difference; the 5Nm of torque provides incredibly detailed, instant force feedback that lets you feel every bump on the track and exactly when the car loses grip. The wheel response is crisp, and the included pedals feel solid and progressive. It completely changes the immersion level in racing simulators. If you want cross-platform flexibility and true next-level force feedback, this base is phenomenal value.
