A: be careful, the thick ones in the new pkg that states it, yes, others no. I bought after new ones came out, but they were dumping old ones for months.none of the slims allow battery change.
Q: Do you need the Tile and the tile mate or is one or the other sufficient for using the product?
A: You can use one or the other, plus the Tile app on your phone. Any one Tile token and the Tile app is all you need.
A: Click a tile twice and it should make your phone ring. don't click too fast though or it won't work!
A: Yes, but you have to be right on top of it for it to work. Seems if anything is on top of the item or in a drawer etc, forgetaboutit.
Q: can the tile be controlled by 2 different phones?
A: Yes. In the Tile app (I can only verify iOS-Apple app), a user can share a tile with someone else. For example, I share the tile that I have on my keys with my daughter so that if I lose them and my phone, she can view the location of my keys as well on her phone.
Q: How far of a distance it's tracking to and from?
A: The sound is not very loud. At home or like, you may need to walk about a bit. At wide open space, I use location history (GPS map) first. So, how loud is not very important to me, because even the loud one is not loud enough in open space (such as search car in huge parking lot). The 2020 pro is the loudest, if you need it loud.
Q: Will this work with an Apple Iphone 8?
A: Yes. Compatible with all current iPhones.
