And that's what we have here 18 raw, ground-breaking early cuts (1983-88) from the legendary Oaktown rapper, one of the first hip hop artists to use explicit language on his albums and actually get them into record stores. Recorded and produced by Too $hort for the independent tag Seventy Five Girls before he went on to fame and fortune with Jive Records, the music included here was originally found on the early tapes he sold out of the trunk of his car and distributed through City Hall Records.
