I needed a backup drive and a portable hard drive as I utilize a lot of different computers. This drive fits the bill and you don't have a lot of fluff added up front to take up your much needed space. I've included a picture of it working with my laptop.

Small size and slim case make it a perfect portable hard drive with quite an impressive capacity. It is also quite fast - I transferred over 80GB of files in 1 hour from my not so fast laptop. It comes with a USB3.0 cable so it may be even faster on newer laptops... It connected without problems and was immediately recognized by Windows 8.1 and Windows XP. Get it while it is on sale!

I bought this item on Deal of the Day. I did read some reviews before purchasing, but it had a great rating on many reviews and I had planned on purchasing it because it was such a great deal. When I received the package, I thought they shipped the wrong item, because the box was so small. It turned out, the hard drive is much smaller than my Samsung Galaxy S5. It's tiny. I absolutely love that it's so compact, because it's easy to take anywhere. In addition, I uploaded all of my photos from my old and new laptops (10 years worth) and it didn't even make a dent in my memory. Love this product.

After purchasing and installing this drive, I was pleased with the performance. I did note that this drive only comes with a 1 yr warranty, while other drives often feature 2 or 3 year warranties. Also, the drive is formatted for PC already to go, but completely devoid of any utilities or backup software, so you're out of luck if you need that. Can't fault the price - the #1 reason I bought it.

Yes I would recommend this external hard Drive, connects to the USB port, which is Super Easy....! No password or set up needed....! Go to your Drives and you'll see the External Hard Drive, Double Click to open, Make your own files...No format to follow....Do what you want... Drag and Drop Or Copy and Paste...So EASY ....This is a lot easier then the little USB flash drives that require you make username and password, follow their format, etc., NONE of that Stuff Needed....!

I love its durability and sturdiness. It's very portable and light. Plenty of storage. I use it with my Mac to store my iPhoto library.

I needed to find a hard drive solution to be able to back up my MacBook Pro... this fit the bill. It was easy to set up, and now functions as the storage solution for the Apple "Time Machine" back-up. It's great to have a separate hard drive, to leave disk space available for use on the MacBook! Add to that, the great price and it's a no brainer!

Bought this hard drive to run media through my ps3, formated the drive to fat32 and it works like a charm, very light weight and portable.

This Toshiba Canvio 1TB is awesome. I selected (white) as it matches my Xbox One. I love this Hard Drive, it transfers games FAST, even faster than the Xbox One. It was a very economical purchase, and the space it provides for Gaming, on the Xbox One is essential. I play a lot of different Multi-player games, so I love having them loaded on this hard drive and ready to go. Highly Recommended by an Xbox One Gamer.

The hard drive is compact & holds 1TB of info. My old computer holds 32GB only. So this is huge. You can connect it to the computer thru the USB port with a cable, which is provided. Most people use the cloud to store info, but I like a hard drive. You can slip it into your pocket or purse and carry it with you wherever you go. This hard drive serves its purpose well.

After considerable research, I discovered this particular model of Toshiba hd. I returned an earlier version I got at Amazon because they model they sent me lacked the shock resistance that was advertised; they claimed they sent me their "new and improved" model that I could have gotten for $20 less elsewhere. Best Buy was the only place that still had a Toshiba that offered a shock resistance and solid hd at a great price. Even though it is only 1T compared to comparably priced drives offering 2T, the construction and dependability made this a no brainer choice. Plus it is plug and play, so no software glitches to deal with. Very pleased. Thanks, Best Buy!

I bought this product in order to consolidate all of the little flash drives that I have. It was the easiest thing to use. I just plugged it in and immediately started transferring files. It's thin and sleek, so it's nothing that you need to make too much space for.

This thing is a beast. Holds anything you could ever want and need and for a great price!

Easy to use, came with cable, plug & play, very fast USB 3.0, and no extra power required. I've used it on a couple of devices and it has worked great.

The device is so small and sleek that it makes it very easy to pick up and throw in your bag to take to work or school. I highly recommend it!
