Sorry to say, I returned this item, because it did not work. It did fit in the cup holder, but the main problem was that it did not come with the items needed to connect power to the automobile. I tried an adapter, but no power. The magnet worked ok, but the head attachment was not well constructed.

It is made very well and works great. Only knock would be that it is pretty hard to remove joints if you want to shorten it.
