Since all 4 ports on my router got consumed, I ordered this from Best Buy as they had the lowest price. Ever since I bought, it is working without any problems. Some people complained about high pitch sound and I did notice it initially, now I don't hear anymore. Even when I heard, it didn't bother me as it is placed too far in a corner. The picture shown was for older model of the product but what I received was a new model :).

Unpacked it, plugged in appropriate cables, and it worked fine. No noticeable slowdowns. Easy to set up. Wish all computer-related purchases were this easy.

i upgraded my Wifi to a Mesh system and i needed a Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged switch, this worked Great as my Solar panels are connected to the net at all times and my desktop still needs to be hardwired to get Fastest speed on my Network, this 8 port unit did the trick and did it seamlessly

I ran out of Ethernet ports so I needed to buy an Ethernet switch. For 25 dollars, you cant go wrong with this. It has 8 ports (7 after plugging one Ethernet cord from your router into it.) This provides enough ports for me to plug everything in. Wired connections are better for gaming and streaming in my opinion.

Works great right out of the box. No setup worries. I strung a CAT 5e cable from my router to this switch to connect another computer, Blu-ray, DVR and Denon receiver to my network and internet. At the time it was just a couple of bucks more for the box with the extra connectors.

Having 8 more ports is great when you want to run a lot of devices hard wired.

Upon moving, we ended up getting ATT U-verse - the wifi router they supply has 2 ports consumed by the TV equipment - so with only 2 ports left it was impossible to connect my desktop, printer and NAS - so a switch made sense - just so happened I had $10 in reward credits so it was a great price - basically got a new unit for the cost of a refurb or used switch on ebay. Over 6 months now and it has been rock solid - no issues. These simple unmanaged switches are all pretty basic - as long as it works, its great. I see no issues and added a laptop docking station to it recently - no wifi can compete with gig speed ethernet so I use wired LAN as much as is feasible.

What can i say? It works, i get my Gigabit speeds from U-Verse and LAN, it is on 24/7 without any hickups and heavy traffic. Best of all is its price.

It's a simple solution to add ports to your network. No frills, just reliable performance which is all I require. Great price as well.

Takes up very little space and provides enough ports for all my needs at a very reasonable price. I have it wall mounted.

This switch was so easy to setup. Just plug it in, connect your ethernet cables, and you're good to go. Having the Gigabit speed is essential if your home or office has high speed broadband at speeds of 100MB or more. Our old switches were only 10/100MB speed and it slowed down network traffic in our office. Upgrading to this switch brought us up to speed with our ISP.
