Q: Can you see live video and play back recorded events on your phone? And at no cost?
A: Yes, for free only 48 hours worth then it deletes and starts over but you can also save recorded/or screenshot videos
Q: Can I tilt camera up/down, right/left from phone?

Q: I want to use this for outside security, does it have to be plugged in outside?
A: I would not put this device outside in the elements. The camera requires power and also needs to connect to your WiFi. The outside elements will not be good for the camera or the power cord & transformer. I have one of the cameras set up inside the house and overlooking the driveway. During the day the video quality is very good even through a window. At night as long as there is outside lighting the video quality is fine, but in black & white.

Q: Is there a monthly fee for the app
A: It will record up to 2 days only if you need more than 2 days you have to pay fee
Q: Can you turn off recording on this camera or does it record all the time
A: You can turn on or off from app.
Q: Will this connect to a 5GHz router?
A: The Kasa Spot Indoor (KC100) utilizes 2.4GHz WiFi for connectivity. Most routers that support 5GHz will also support 2.4GHz. However, if you would prefer dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) solution, we suggest considering our KC120 Kasa Cam Indoor. Regards, TP-Link Support
Q: Can you record or keep footage?
A: Yes if you turn the camera on in the app it will automatically record when motion is detected and you can see all recorded nothing in the activity portion of the app and also you can manually record also .
