A: Yes it does. It is a very good basic phone. I bought mine for the same reason, mostly make phone calls and I also send a few text messages and that is it. This phone runs on the Verizon side of Tracfone, so I get very good service where I'm at. I have had no problems with it.b If you are looking for just a basic phone I would get this LG instead of the Myflip. The Myflip phones run KaiOS on which you can download apps to the phone and do a lot of other internet kinda of stuff.
Q: Did this require a monthly subscription fee of any kind?
A: No. It is my husband's flip phone. We buy him a year's service plan for $ $99. It includes 1200 minutes (we have the double plan. He uses less than 400 minutes per year and the extra minutes roll over to next yea. He will never run out of minutes. Great plan for someone who uses it so little.
