I have been using the journal to write my thoughts on books I'm reading. The paper is of a decent enough quality for that purpose; there can be slight bleed-through of pen ink if you press down too hard for too long, but it doesn't hinder my own reading/writing. I strongly prefer college-/narrow-ruled journals like this one, and I appreciate having 2 page markers and the elastic that keeps the journal closed. My only minor issues with this journal are that 1) there is no margin between the spine and the writing space, and 2) the pages are not perforated. However, these are mostly personal preference and were not advertised in the product listing, so I wouldn't dock any stars for not having those features. I got this journal on sale and used a Best Buy reward certificate, so it is a great value for that reason. I wouldn't buy it at full price as I have other better journals at a similar price point.
