My husband and I are avid John Wayne fans. Even so we like this version of the story tremendously. We were surprised by a few differences but it flows well and makes us want to be a part of the story.

Doesn't measure up to the original with John Wayne, but still top notch. Very enjoyable and the movie moved along quickly. Very good acting.

the original with john wayne still the best! but this re-make is on par with the story modernized by the day. worthy of the purchase

Overall service was very good. Great value just in time for Halloween. Great classic film from 80's loaded with extras.

Did not think I was going to like this remake, but Jeff Bridges was a great choice for Rooster Cogburn! Also, a lisping Matt Damon should not be missed. :)

I bought this for my father and he loves it. He said the movie worked great.

I was a solid fan of the John Wayne version but now prefer this version, closer to the book. Great story for fans of western movies.
