I knew ROCCAT made great peripherals, but i wasnt sure about this after turlte beach bought them. I dont own any turtle beach items but this actually blew me away. Ive used plenty of mice, including the razer viper v3 pro. I prefer this over any mouse right now because of the 47g weight, which literally feels like a feather. It makes playing games like LoL and Counter Strike so much easier because there is no fatigue and micro movements are outstanding. It uses a pixart 3395 if anyone is wondering and its an amazing sensor. You can actually adjust debounce delay too. The swarm II software is also not bloated unlike other softwares. Highly recommend.

The Turtle Beach Burst II Air is the lightest gaming mouse I’ve owned so far, perhaps even the lightest one among all full-size mice I’ve ever owned. As advertised, it is in fact ultra lightweight, can easily connect through various modes (Bluetooth, wireless receiver or just the cable), and can be easily customized to suit whatever needs you’d have. This is the first Turtle Beach product I used and so far, I am delighted with it. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles as other gaming mice, such as more buttons and decorative lights, but for the weight and ease of use, I’d highly recommend it. - Pros: Ultra-light, accurate, customizable. - Cons: N/A. >> Setup It just works out of the box; however, you’d want to download the software to configure/customize it. Following the Quick Start Guide the first thing to do is to navigate to http://www.turtlebeach.com/swarm2, it will be redirected to the support page for downloading updates/software. I just selected the Burst II Air mouse product, downloaded the Swarm II software and proceeded to install it. When I first connected the mouse with the cable provided, and launched the Swarm II software, there was a notice for an update available, which I downloaded and installed (it was a little strange having to click once for download and another click to do the actual install, just one click should have sufficed, minor detail/feedback). After that initial update, I was greeted with another a mandatory update for the device. When applying that update, it forced me to plug in the receiver which means that both the mouse and the receiver got some updates. No issues at all with the initial setup, very easy. >> Profiles As with other similar gaming devices, you can set up different profiles that hold specific parameters that are suited to whatever tasks you are undertaking. Launching the Swarm II app, there are 5 default profiles that you can select from and customize even more. In my case, I’ve only been using two, one for editing pictures and another for gaming (this last one also for general use). One useful thing to note is that the front-left side small button is preconfigured to cycle through DPIs when pressed, which I find very handy. For example, when playing games, sometimes you’d want to move faster, and other times you’d want to be as accurate as possible minimizing the mouse movement so that you can accurately aim at the at the target when playing FPS games, for example. You can change the preconfigured use of this button to instead of cycling through the DPIs, to go up or down in DPI, and you can even assign the button a different function altogether. >> Battery It is nice that the Burst II Air comes with its own internal rechargeable battery, which, by the way, doesn’t seem to add much weight to the device. The battery charges fast and seems to last for days (didn’t take an exact measure because I’d recharge before battery went to zero). >> Ease of use It is taking me some time to adjust to how light this mouse is as I’ve always favored a little heavier than usual mice for gaming, due to my thought that heavier mice were more suited for gaming, for example, to be more accurate at shooting in FPS games. So far, this device has proven me wrong and I see using it more frequently than other gaming mice I own, especially when traveling somewhere (in which saving as much carry-on luggage weight as possible is desired) . It comes with extra skates and grip tape. I haven’t yet attached the grip tape to the Burst II Air mouse, but I might do it. So far, the mouse doesn’t seem to slip easily under my fingers, but I haven’t been gaming heavily lately. For the replacement skates, the mouse is so light that I wonder if I’d need to change them before the mouse’s left button dies and the mouse being rendered useless (as I’ve seen being the case in gaming mice).

I really like gaming mice, so I’ve tried all of the top gaming mice on the market right now. Also, tried a ton of other ones. I went in with low expectations. As I didn’t know Turtle Beach made gaming mice. But supposedly they bought out Roccat. So wasn’t sure how it would perform, but was pleasantly surprised by how much they got right. WEIGHT: The biggest and best thing this guy has going for it is the weight at 47 grams which is very lightweight. While being very well balanced which is just as critically important. This WILL make you better at aiming if you are using a heavy mouse. Especially, 70 – 80 grams or more. Also, the rest of the specs are upper end (not top of the line but nearly). To get that weight if you squeeze hard there is some flex. But I didn’t notice that while gaming. CONNECTIVITY: It does come with grips, you can store the dongle inside the mouse, and connect via USB-C, 2.4 GHz wireless, or Bluetooth. SHAPE: It’s got a comfortable shape, made for those who either A. Like smaller mice, or B. have small hands. Good for claw/fingertip, but if hand is small enough palm. But I’d say for most a claw/fingertip grip. Honestly, reminds me a lot of a smaller GPX. COATING: The coating is similar to the GPX where it feels a bit like matte rubber. SCROLL WHEEL: Scroll wheel has defined steps and isn’t very loud. Light to medium amount of force required to scroll. Middle click is light, snappy, and easy to spam. CLICKS: Side and primary clicks are not my favorite and hit middle of the pack in the sense of feel compared to others. But are still relatively snappy. They are optical which is greatly appreciated. As that means no double clicks and faster latency. There is no side to side play. They say they are pre-tensioned but I’m still getting moderate pre and post travel (which I think is the main contributor on why they don’t feel great). But are consistent on left/right click. And during games I don’t really notice. Side buttons are more of the same. DPI BUTTON: Uniquely there is a DPI button the front left side of the mouse. Which I think is a cool spot for it. Out of the way enough you can use it during game but easy enough to access if you want to change your DPI on the fly. Which is also remappable in their software. Such as for play/pause or muting your microphone. PERFORMANCE: Sensor, firmware, software, are all upper end. I performed excellently across all my games with this mouse. Didn’t have to acclimate at all to it. As the shape, size, weight, latency are all excellent. As mentioned above the only thing that took me out of game a bit is the clicks/side buttons/scroll wheel while solid/very good are not up there with my favorite mice. It also lacks higher polling rate which I like. But is not everyones cup of tea and the trades are seldom worth it for people. BATTERY LIFE AND PERFORMANCE CONTINUED: It doesn’t have any RGB. The sensor is upper end, and battery life is very good. PTFE feet are solid without any complaints. The wireless is good, I didn’t notice any drop outs or issues. Didn’t feel as responsive as my Razer mice. But they are top dog right now so something that is a lot cheaper I wouldn’t expect it too. However, this still competes extremely well against them. The included cable is very flexible and high quality. Much better than most of the competition. Firmware is solid as well. Not the best I’ve tried but again, up there competing well with the best. CONCLUSION: Overall, this is a highly competitive mouse that does nearly everything right and is an easy recommendation for me.

The Turtle Beach - Burst II Air Ultra Lightweight Wireless Symmetrical Gaming Mouse with Bluetooth & 120-hour battery is a game changer! Not only does it have bluetooth (big bonus for avoiding cable clutter), but it also has a wireless dongle if your computer doesn't have bluetooth. It lasts an entire week+ on one charge. However, I am old school and limit any potential delay so I choose the 3rd option of actually plugging it in with a Type C cable. But the best part is it's SO light, it feels like an extension of your hand. It weighs about 1.5 ounces -- just over the weight of a slice of bread. It's mind-bogglingly light -- while I usually don't have any problems, I can game for hours without any discomfort. It even comes with special grips to make it extra secure to my hand -- think of pinetar in baseball -- no slippage at all. I don't even need a fancy mousepad either, thanks to the quality skates that are included. What are skates? It basically makes my desk frictionless -- pretty cool features that I haven't seen before. On top of that, you can customize everything to your heart's content. Want to adjust how sensitive the mouse is? No problem! There's even software that lets you fine-tune all sorts of settings -- for example, you can reduce the debounce time so clicking is more sensitive (lighter touches register more clicks). Angle snapping and dpi options are there and you have 6 different programmable buttons to bind to certain game actions. While the mouse is the lightest I've ever used, it's still packed full of many different features that have made it my go-to when gaming.

I test a lot of gaming mice so I was excited to see what the Burst II Air had to offer especially compared to the original Burst Pro Air which I also own. There are a ton of upgrades, and I really enjoyed using this mouse. Unboxing/setup: The unboxing experience feels very premium - you are presented with the mouse itself on top, and underneath you will find the wireless 2.4GHz dongle+extender. You also get some extra spare feet and even grip tape. Before you use the mouse make sure you REMOVE the blue plastic film covering the mouse feet. By default the DPI steps of this mouse are 400/800/1200/1600/3200 (up to 26K DPI) which you can control using the small DPI button on the left side of the mouse. If you want to tweak things further you can get the SWARM II software which I talk about more later. Shape and weight: The Burst II Air is almost an exact copy shape wise to the original Burst Pro - it’s just a tad bit wider in the back and thinner at the front. It’s still an excellent shape which is most suited for claw grip users with small/medium hands. The weight is much lower (45g on my scale) compared to the older model which sat at (81g) it is truly one of the lightest mice I’ve tried. To do this Turtle Beach made most of the bottom base exposed, removed RGB, and tweaked the overall shell. Everything also feels very balanced so it isn’t front or back heavy. You also get dongle storage, yay. Buttons: Main buttons are again using Titan Switch Opticals (100m clicks) and they feel a bit better this time around. They are light with a decent amount of tactility, and only some pre-travel with almost no post-travel. In terms of the side buttons and scroll wheel they are some of the best I’ve tried - both are crisp and very tactile. Sensor/performance: The Burst II Air uses a 3395 sensor (at 1K polling) and it performs excellent in all scenarios. Everything feels very responsive though I wish it was capable of a higher polling rate. I mainly tested everything using the 2.4GHz connection for best results, but you can also switch to bluetooth if you want to save on battery life and aren’t doing any extensive gaming. Feet: These skates are the best! Very smooth out the box on all mousepads. Software and battery life: I generally prefer not to use any software on mice, but if there has to be one it better be good. I’m happy to report that the new Swarm II software is really nice - both in terms of design and features. You can tweak everything like DPI, LOD, sleep timer, and more. In terms of battery life I got the mouse out the box at 77% and after using it for 4 days it only dropped to 40% so it’s pretty good in this regard. Build/QC: Lastly I want to talk about the build and overall quality control - it’s really good. I have no creaking or rattling on my unit despite this mouse weighing so little. In conclusion, I can highly recommend the Turtle Beach Burst II Air if you’re looking for a lightweight claw grip focused mouse that won’t let you down! I am an avid gamer, with some Valorant, Overwatch, Destiny 2 competitive matchmaking on a daily basis. I have used ALL kinds of mice, and ALL kinds of keyboards. There are key features that I need in a mouse. I need my mouse to be PRECISE on various surfaces. It needs to have a high polling rate so it FEELS like it's part of my body. It needs to be flexible in connectivity, I will be connecting it from device to device. I don't need the software to be bloaty and hogging up the resource. I can't mention some of the other competitors, but rest assured, the top 3 gaming mice companies, I've tried it all, including their included software. THIS guy is the new best mouse on the block. You can easily check the weight of all the other mice, this one runs in at 47grams! I have the different mice side by side, and you can easily feel a difference. Yes, when it's too light, it may not be for some people. But when it is light, I don't get wrist fatigue as quickly. I am in LOVE with this new mouse. The tactile feel of the mice has a fancy name on it, the TITAN Switch. It doesn't matter what the companies call their technology, does it feel right, does it work well, and I am glad to say it definitely feels great. The click is just enough that it doesn't require alot of effort, but also enough effort where you don't accidentally click. The battery life is ridiculous, I've been using this over a week and I have not had to charge it a single time. I appreciate the wifi vs bluetooth capability, but also how easily you can seamlessly switch between the two. Keep in mind there' a battery difference depending on which mode you use it in. I have not had a single interference or disconnect in my 2 weeks time of use. I just need a few extra more buttons on this thing for my other gaming needs, such as warcraft/moba style buttons, but other than that I think we have a clear market leader. The best part of all of this is it is so competitively priced, I don't think there's any other good alternative. If you're a gamer, don't think about it, just get this.

I’m currently using a Logitech G502 Hero gaming mouse which is wired, and a beast. It’s solid and heavy. This Burst II Air is my first lightweight gaming mouse. I think if I’m not mistaken the box states it weighs 47 or 48g. I tried 2 different scales and it came in @ 46g on both. Just to give you a perspective of how light this mouse is, I googled what weighs around 45g. Some of the items that were listed were a golf ball, 2 AA batteries, 10 sheets of paper, 3 empty soda cans. I was flabbergasted when I took it out of the box. It comes with a really nice fabric charging cable with rubber cable ties, a USB adapter, a USB wireless transmitter, extra skates, and grip tape. (see photo) I put the grip tape provided on the sides, but did not use the tape for the top of the mouse. I was glad to see the tape, because I was really sad when I saw the smooth side of the mouse. Been using this mouse for work for a few days. You can use the wireless adapter or Bluetooth to connect, both work really well, although I did notice an ever so slight lag when clicking sometimes with Bluetooth connectivity. Make sure you save the instructions because it shows you which 3 buttons to hold to connect to the wireless adapter or Bluetooth on your PC. Also been using this for all my gaming. I’ve had to adjust the dpi and get used to using such a lightweight mouse compared to my G502. The dpi cycle button is not in the best spot for on the fly changing (front left underneath) but it works so no complaints. From what my kids tell me turtle beach has had their issues in the past with low end headphones. That’s heresay to me as this is the first product of theirs that I’ve owned. Rumor is they said that turtle beach was sold. Probably not relevant just throwing that out there in case any of you have the same perception of them. So far so good and really enjoy the light weight mouse and the relief it’s providing my carpal tunnel. To think I went from essentially sliding around a big heavy G502 mouse, to sliding 2 AA batteries with this Burst II Air, is crazy to me. Only thing left to watch out for is the battery life. I charged it right away and have been using it for 3 straight days for work and gaming at night. Status shows it’s at 78% battery still. That’s awesome! Highly recommend this to anyone!

I have owned several gaming over the years and this is arguably the lightest gaming mouse I’ve used. That said if you are disappointed because of its weight, then obviously this is not the right mouse for you as there are other mice that you can even add on weights to make it heftier. Weight aside, let’s go on with the review. As mentioned, earlier this is arguably the lightest mouse around and reason being is that the bottom is partially hollowed out as shown in my picture. But for those wishing a hefty mouse, I wish Turtle Beach should have included weights for the mouse though personally I prefer lightweight mice myself. One of the reasons why this mouse is also light weight is that it includes a rechargeable battery unlike other mice that use at least one AA battery and for other models even two. The mouse can be charged with the included charging cable which they label as Phantom Flex. Do note that this charging cable is not only for charging as it also act as a mouse cable should you want to be wired. It also has a USB adaptor for compatibility. But there are also other ways to connect this mouse to your PC. It also has a USB dongle, BT and 2.4GHz wireless. I am testing this unit right now using this mouse via USB and it seems to be very responsive. The mouse itself is pretty much standard and is symmetrical. The keys found tin the mouse itself is pretty much standard as it includes a scroll button, the left and right click buttons, a toggle switch for dpi performance and two programmable side buttons. Turtle Beach claims there are more programmable buttons, but for me I am already satisfied with this setup. And lastly, the mouse include additional skates for smoother movement. Overall, this is a very decent mouse which has all the features of a gaming mouse but aimed for those wanting a really lightweight mouse. So for those preferring a lightweight mouse, this is the right mouse for you.

Little backstory.. I used to remotely test gaming mice and had connections with top brands and project mangers around 10 years ago. I'm not really into it much these days, but there are certain products that do catch my eye from time to time. The Burst II Air happens to be one of those products. Even though the mouse is branded under the Turtle beach name, I would like to clarify that this is likely the last mouse designed by the original ROCCAT team. So you can say this mouse transcends both IP's. Not exactly an original TB product, but cements itself as one of the first mice launched under the newer name. The next release or revision after this will determine if Turtle beach is here to stay. DESIGN/SHAPE/WEIGHT: This isn't something I can objectively comment on, but I would like to mention that the back end of the mouse more or less "saves" it for me. You can say it has curves in the right area. Subjectively good. -The 45-47G weight is a decent achievement in it's own right. (White weights more.) Black is 44.8g on my scale. Tolerances exist.. so it may be slightly different give or take 1g depending on copy. -Body doesn't creak at all. It's a very solid design with good ID. Would subjectively prefer around 5% bigger and or modifications within that constraint, but it's overall decent. 4/5? BATTERY LIFE: Capable of up to 120 hours on BT, but no competitive gamer will be using this mouse with a limited polling rate of 125hz. I dislike that there's no mention of 2.4ghz battery life on the box at all, but they do mention 40 hours on the turtle beach website. I can confirm that it's basically around that area after testing it for 4 days. I would say this is inline with other "light weight" options with the same sensor offering. There are clearly better options on the market, but they're tied to exclusive deals or completely different hardware used by a certain brand. 3/5. You can say the Battery life is the weak spot of this product. SWITCHES: Subjectively not a fan, but I'm more old school. I really liked what ROCCAT (now TB) formally did with the SAVU back around 2012. Those used older D2FC Omron with a specific shell design. This Burst II air has custom ROCCAT branded Kailh switches. Decent, but not my cup of tea. I will praise that the side buttons are better than other popular mice.. so not all is lost. 4/5 SENSOR: Sensor is pretty much overhyped factor these days, but I can comment that I don't really notice any real abnormalities. Does high IPS tracking without much issue, but concern for speed hasn't really been a major talking point for the past decade.. at least in higher end designs. I will say sensor latency is a bit higher than a competing mice from brand "R" and Brand "L", but not as bad as other implementations with same 3395 model. In between. 5/5? I mean we can argue for higher polling, but that currently requires dual SoC's running off Nordic based designs if wireless.. at least currently. There are talks about better MCU/SOC units in the pipeline, but logistics may take awhile to catch up. SOFTWARE: Seems this is one of the first mice to use Swarm II. I can't really fault the new software outside of a bug that reports the wrong battery life at times.. 4/5? Not perfect ;) OVERALL: I think this is a good mouse bottlenecked by the desire to go super low weight with an older sensor design or RF implementation. Turtle beach can more or less revise this model in a few years and likely double battery life with the same mAh capacity. I'm sure this will happen. There's not much I can really fault on this mouse aside from it not being the technical "best" option on the market with the latest sensor and or SoC/MCU. You're buying this mouse because you want a solid 45-47G option without holes. 4/5.

I have a new mobile gaming set-up so I was looking for a new gaming mouse that was light, responsive, and felt good in the hand. The Turtle Beach Burst II checks all those requirements and then some. When the box for the Burst II showed up, I actually wondered if it weren't empty because it felt like I was just holding a box and not a box with an actual piece of gaming hardware in it. When I opened the box though, there it was. 47g spread out over the size of a full-sized mouse feels ridiculously light. For some, it may just be TOO light. I'm right there on the edge with the Burst II. It's great because it is one thing less weighing down my bag which is already pretty stinking heavy from the 16 inch laptop and its power brick, but I also feel like it may be too ephemeral (I don't get to use that word enough), when deep into gaming. I had halfway hoped that there were some weights in the box to maybe augment the standard weight but the only thing else in the box are some larger 'skates' for the bottom of the mouse, some grip tape for the sides and buttons, the wireless transmitter/adaptor, and a really nice cable. That being said, the Turtle Beach Burst II is a great mouse and the software is easy to use and set up. I dialed in three settings for the DPI selector to match my different needs (gaming vs. everyday use), and I was able to set the lighting to none, because I don't want a mouse lit up in neon colors. I haven't scratched a fraction of the supposed 150 hours of battery time, though I don't know how the heck they have that much battery capacity in this thing with it being so light. Seriously, the battery has to be at least half of that 47g. All-in-all, I'm pretty happy with the Burst II. It may be a bit lighter than I usually like or am used to but it's great to take around in my bag, and works well and with a solid connection every time. You can do FAR worse than the Burst II at this price, but probably not much better.

I have gotta say, I’ve never seen such a high-end unboxing for a mouse before. It really was an impressive sight. As for the mouse itself, it’s also one of the lightest mice I’ve ever used. This mouse is really sensitive when I need it to be, and it’s super accurate in normal use. One of my favorite things about it is the multiple ways you can connect it. The mouse has a dongle accessory that does 2.4Ghz, which works really well and is almost as fast as a wire. The bluetooth is the newest 5.2, and it doesn’t have a noticeable delay to my gaming so I think I’d trust it in a fairly frequency free home. I like it when a device comes with an extra set of consumables. There’s an extra set of desk skates for the bottom of the mouse which are actually larger pads that would probably reduce the friction a little more than the pads it has out of the box. There’s also a set of grips that I installed right away. I think the plastic will survive years of gaming, it’s more for friction and comfort than for protection. So what matters the most is the accuracy of the mouse. In it’s third to slowest setting, I could feel the accuracy when video editing, In gaming I used the second to fastest and it was spot on in competitive FPS. I can’t blame the mouse anymore because I sucked that last game! I definitely RECOMMEND this mouse. There’s only one thing that I don’t like about it, and that it’s not symmetrical so I can use it fully from both hands. I’m a lefty and so... it’s not that comfortable at the end of the day for me to use the extra buttons. But for standard office and creative work use it’s ok.

The Turtle Beach Burst II Air Ultra Lightweight Wireless is one incredible mouse! Absolutely fantastic for gaming and functions just as well for work, too! My favorite part of this mouse versus other is that the DPI adjustment button is far forward on the side of the mouse, still able to be reached if needed, but definitely will not be bumped on accident during a match like on many other mice. The design is very sleek, very incognito, and blends excellently into an office environment during the day and fits amazingly in the hand for FPS and RPGs after work. This is an absolutely incredible mouse and has supplanted my Razer Mamba for my primary work and play mouse on the go, but the best part is the lack the RGB lighting, so it sits on your desk at work just looking like a nice mouse, not like an obvious gaming mouse! Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a "do-it-all" gaming and productivity mouse that is incredibly lightweight and accurate, but also blends in seamlessly in any environment. No RGB is a great thing here!

Easily the lightest mouse i have personally used. Its great for gaming. Its bigger than my old razer mouse and still lighter. Its very responsive and has software you can customize the buttons for.

Compared to my old Logitech M185 this thing feels great. The ability to map more functions through Swarm II Easy Shift comes in handy for production work that is shortcut-heavy (3d modeling, etc.)

Cool gaming mouse got it for my son and he loves it works great for the games he’s into.

Bought it as a keep in the bag mouse for the gaming laptop. It has since graduated to the only mouse that gets used. It moves with a thought, and glides nice on the bigger pads.
